There are so many channels where you can watch the sanitized, upbeat "Instagram-worthy" highlights-only version with Ibiza club music and endless identical drone shots and copious strategic camera angles of girls in bikinis.

not only do people need to be able to take the life of something they eat, this is the most humane way possible...these are the same people that dont mind eating a hamburger because that meat comes magically packed in a nice package and ignores the inhumane way the cattle live its life.

Aaron great channel you are very knowledgeable about diving and fishing. I'm sure the way you explain things to people you make it very easy to understand. Like I said in my first comment I've lived in Deerfield Beach Florida 🌴 for 53 yrs. When I moved here I was 10. My father took me and my older brother on a drift boat called the helen S. I was 13 at the time. A guy hooked a bonita and it tangled about 4 people's lines. As I made my way to him I got hammered. It was a 6ft. 52 lb wahoo a jr. class rec. Mate jumped the bench cutting the lines that had mine. Took a hour and a half to land. A great memory. Hope you liked my story.

Dude, I just want to say, love how open, honest, and informative you are. It's always a good watch. And thanks for being one of the few who put the fish down once you know you are keeping it. I've seen too many slice up still live fish while thinking, "Just put it out of it misery before you clean." Good to see you pulling the brain, bleed, then chum with the gut clean approach. I don't eat fish, but when I fished for others in the past, that was the go-to.

It comes to this. If you’re going to take a fish’s life you should respect it enough to ease its suffering and quickly dispatch it. I see alot of commercial scuba guys on vids just stick the still live fish on a
Stringer and surface that way. That can’t feel good to the fish

Great realistic video Aaron. I am also a charter captain and agreeThat distress of finding fish can be unpleasant sometimes. I love doing scallop tours because that stress is just not there.
Just something most don’t consider. A lot of sleepless nights over trips lol and yup! Certain trips have alot less stress!

Congrats on hitting 50k Subs, That a huge accomplishment! Your channel is the only dive/ spearfishing channel I am subscribed to, its the only one I've come across that always keeps my interest. I sure you will hit a 100k in no time! Most people think that being a guide or captain is a low stress job, but if you truly care about catching fish, the tough days are super stressful! There are days that I would throw a 100 over the side if I knew it would produce the fish my client was hoping for. Excellent videos always, Keep up the good work!

Great video. I’m glad you show the good and the bad of commercial fishing. A lot of content creators won’t make a video unless it’s a highlight reel but it’s good for people to see the truth so their expectations aren’t way too high.
I find that to be a strange concept but i guess it makes for views. Have a hard time not being honest

everyone was drift fishing, if someone was anchored I would stay clear. I kept more than enough distance and waited my turn on the drift.
