Thank you! This is by far the best video I have seen on firmware update! One question: Does trimming while in flight work the same? If I am flying, the throttle channel is going to be outside neutral position because it's under power...won't trimming automatically move the throttle trim as an accidental byproduct of trying to trim pitch/roll/yaw?

Would you be able to TRIM the model while in flight to establish straight flight on neutral sticks? i am worried about this since there are no dedicated trim buttons...thank you
Hi very informative video thanks for taking the time to do this. I have set channel for my 3 position switch to be flight mode. I follow your instructions but it doesn't show up as functioning. what am I doing wrong. My brother has the same transmitter and the same thing is happening. because of this issue I can't go into librepilot and set up transmitter because it doesn't register on the computer screen either. Odd thing is I had it work but now nether controller will recognize the SWB 3 position switch for flight mode. I have done factory reset on both, updated firmware on both. I don't know what else to try. Hope you can help. I must be doing something wrong if two separate controller bought 2 months apart are have the same issue. What am i doing wrong what have i over looked what am i missing.............frustrated to the max as to why it worked before but doing the transmitter won't recognize the same command settings as I see in your video which the did before..

I have a trouble with elevator trimming which seems stuck on left side and the trim setting process does not work. But for the Tail servo it works well. Have you an idea about the possible way to fix that? Thank you
PS: I am on mode 1, throttle on right stick and elevator and tail On left stick
Do you think there is a firmware solution to make this Tx work with a lot of the Tiny Whoops that come with built in FS receivers. Seems the Tiny's will work with the old i6, but not the S. Why isn't backwards compatibility the norm?
Hi1 i'm building a fishing boat and i'm adding two containers to put the bait and iIwant to control two servos Futaba 3003 to open and close the trapdoors but when I configure the servos in channels 5 and 6 (SWA and SWD) the servos dont rotate more than 90º and my question is: There's a way to configure the servos from the radiocontroller so they can rotate more?

When I received my Radio (Aug 19, 2016) the Software had been upgraded to include five Model Memory and ten Channels..Please note that to be able to use the ten Channels you will need to purchase the FS-iA10B Receiver.

Hello , is it possible to set dual rates an a switch ? I can't find a way .
The Issue you had with your aileron trim not being quite correct was it needs calibration after the factory reset. Not before.
You need to do a factory reset on all the FlySky radios after a FW update. Some do it automatically as part of the update. This one, i6s requires you to do it manually.

Hello. Thank you for the solution. But i have a problem. I've downloaded the update software from the link, and its different from that in the video solution. In your tutorial its 1.0.11.45, form the download link its 2.0.0.49. My FS-i6S has 1.10 22-Mar-2016 firmware and the downloaded software cant see the TX when I connect it to the PC.
Does anyone has that kind of problem?

yes I have the same problem one of the versions of the updated said something about com port 3. I still haven't figured it out but will report back if I do figure it out.
Great review. Do you know how to bind it with the flysky RX "DasMikro Ultra Miniature PPM"? It is known that if you are using flysky i6 you should to turn off AFHDS from Setup menu, but, is it possible to do it with that? Thanks.

Mi emisora no actualiza a la 0.58 y tiene 0.49, busque en muchos foros y la solución es esta pero no se como hacerlo.
My banggood FS-i6S is identified only until 49 firmware update. The 58 update doesn't identify the device.
I noticed this post:
In the firmware program, at address 870, the transmitter ID is recorded.
06 for TGY-i6s
0A for i6s from Banggood (BG-i6s)
01 for Flysky FS-i6s
It solved the problem. I used hxD to edit the update exe file. (Search->GoTo (dec. option for decimal based option)->and changed from 01 to 0A).

Hello and thanks for asking. They are both great fliers, it's a bit of a hard choice for me. The KingKong might be a bit easier and cheaper to fix in case of damage. I think I might give it to the KingKong Gt, but both are pretty nice quads. Cheers.
I think I like the king kong 210gt better, but I am looking in to the jjrc jj pro p200. this is a hard choice.
PS: the product and manual talks about telemetry capability, but i do not see it on the current menu structure on the transmitter. Does the current firmware support telemetry?

It has RSSI and receiver voltage telemetry... if you're good at soldering you can recieve the flight battery voltage instead of reciever voltage as well

I was able to update the firmware to 1.11 30-Jun-2016 but cannot update to the most recent file from BG which says it's v2.0-something. The updater software never sees my transmitter.
While trying, I've found an earlier version 1.1 and can update/downdate between that v1.1 and the v1.11 firmware back and forth. The transmitter is always seen - just not with the current v2.0 updater that's on the BG site right now.
Do I *want* v2.0 ? I don't know. V1.11 seems to do me just fine right now but you know how merchandisers always tell us to upgrade to the latest-n-greatest in order to be up-to-date. Well... should be up-to-date? Whattaya think?

Hello and thanks for asking. Open the software first, then connect the transmitter, then turn on the transmitter, navigate to the firmware update section and press update, you should see the transmitter appearing in the software interface. What Os are you suing? Cheers.

I just took delivery of this radio - from BangGood.
It came with basic FW so I updated to latest version 2.0 (hardware 2.2) from FS downloads web page.
I have the "new" menu etc,. - but when I try to use the Adjust Sticks
function.... I can move the sticks - but - once the blue indicator bars
have made full side to side movement - nothing else works and the top
left hand of menu arrow/return/back button does not work.
I have to shutdown the radio and restart . Not sure if its because of this ... but
I cannot get anything using the back Button A.
I cannot revert to any earlier Firmware - because there is none on FS downloads.
Anybody know a solution??

You have to set the throttle stick to middle position before you can press back and save

Hola y gracia spor preguntar. Conectas el bind plug en el canal de la emisora para esto, luego conectas la batería para que el recibisor funcione. Lo siguiente es ir a la emisora y encontrar la opción de dice "bind" y la activas. Listo :) Saludos.

It does, and also on the FS-iA4B if you use the iBus port.

I recently bought this radio with an old factory fw from May 2016 with no trottle curve option and others improvements, but it was working fine at the channel end points. Now i did the update to the last FW v2.0.0.49 and now i have more options avaliable but the channel end points don´t go to the edges. I did the factory reset, sticks adjustment as you explain in this video but the channels keep not going to the edges and the Aileron channel appears to be trimmed a little to the left side without i do any trim and trims are centered.
Another bug that i notice was when i do the sticks adjustment i can´t go back to the menu pressing the arrow, i need to turn off the transmitter and when i turn it on the channels end points still the same and the little trim that i have not trimmed, too the same.
Someone with same problem that has experienced this same issues? Any solution or better fw is comming out?

ok i've tried to do all again. Now i discovered that to exit the stick adjustment menu the sticks must be centered. But i think i already tried before and nothing happend but now this it's ok.
After all procedure the little trim to the left disappeared but the end points not all are going to the edges. To fix that, i went to the end point % menu and raised the channels a little until all reach to this edges. The maximum value i have it's 108%. Now it's all ok with the edges! My only concern it's because i don't know if it's supposed to work like that or if it is an unusual solution

After a day using it with this solution, today i went to a factory reset and the sticks adjustment again and everything was just perfect. I didn't nothing different this time that I have noticed. el software lo descargue de varios lugares version: 2.0.0.49 . baje otra version 1.0 . pero ninguna de las dos me las detecta. Y la emisora dice en su version : 0.05 9-may-2016 . saludos

I can't believe there's only a 5 model memory, that sucks.
RC REVIEWER - It does...but let's be honest, most of us never fly more than five models at any one time. We just get lazy and keep old models stored we never fly anymore, instead of deleting them.
I purchased one of these TX....updated FW to v2 2016, the only update available onFS download centre. Now, the adjust sticks function does not work and locks up the menu. On the calibration screen...press key 1 and move sticks.... does not beep. Does not calibrate anything...it's useless. Factory reset removes setting....corrects nothing. Everything else seems OK, anything involved in the sticks , calibration or adjustments does nothing.i emailed FS two weeks ago ....they don't bother to reply. There are now better radios than this on sale, the new low priced Taranis is but one. But I will not buy another FS product and that included the Turnigy badged stuff from FS.

Thanks...waiting for that. But if there are no buttons for that how can anyone trim it without not looking at the plain?? Plains need trimming anything changes anything new gets on board all the time. Seems very strange to me.
I don't really understand where FlySky would like to go with this transmitter.
I like the look, I like the different color, I like the more buttons, I like 10 channel I even like the touch panel but why on earth the miss crucial parts of a transmitter???
I needed another one for myself and I bought the old one (which is far cheaper as well.)

Firmware update does nor work, don';t waste your time. Software never sees the Radio.
