Her voice does best with periods of vocal rest because of her nodules. She has all of the notes she’s always had in her repertoire-over performing takes a toll on her voice always. If you go back and listen to any of her early albums you will hear the gravel and hoarse touches even then. She’s also 53.

Only to Mariah do you see people be this harsh to about her voice yes her voice has aged we’re all aware and this is what it is now so why constantly act so confused on why she doesn’t sound like she did 35 years ago the vocal gymnastics and overworking yall loved her doing then is part of the reason she struggles so much now with upper belts 😭

the nodules get harder over time, she’s older, she’s developed unhealthy techniques through the changes of her nodules & she still sings a lot of songs in the same keys she sang them in the 90’s. honestly i think vocal coaching will help a lot with consistency and getting her higher belts back (if she learns to mix) but the nodules will still do what they do best
She is sounding better, I don’t know why she just doesn’t just go and get the surgery on those nodules. It would definitely help her voice, I do t really care about the high high notes anyway.

Speaking voice works differently when comes to singing
Cuz she's using a different technique but she could sound exactly like her 90s voice when she wants to (especially in mid to low range)

Not so much pain but the STRUGGLE to come up. Usually pain comes when she recording new songs or new playback anually.
Imagine havin slight sore throat, you can talk normally but will crack up when trying to say sth louder or higher than usual. Its my experience
