How can we know FOR SURE that we are saved? Many Christians doubt their salvation. As a result, they think they need to get saved "again." This uncertainty is not what God desires for the Christian. He desires that we possess assurance of our salvation. In this video I challenge you to ask yourself three simple questions to give you assurance of your salvation.

I used to be an atheist but God saved me. He forgave me even when I felt I couldn't ever be forgiven. And even though it's hard to be Christian and even though I still get tempted a lot I always try my best to fight temptation. God's the only one who's actually been there for me. I used to feel depressed all the time. Now I have peace. For months I couldn't even get a job. Now that I'm following the Lord I've been receiving so many blessings. I remember when I was in church and a song came on I just started crying because even though I was a horrible sinner. God still chose me. He called me by name and He said I am redeemed.

      Amen!
      SALVATION:
To clarify the gospel of our salvation: Our gospel that saves us today is to believe that Jesus died on the cross, shedding His blood, was buried and rose from the dead for the forgiveness of our sins. I Cor 15:1-4. That's step one. Step two: We must put our trust in this gospel for the forgiveness of our sins and nothing else, to be saved. It's that simple. Jesus did the work necessary for our salvation. We cannot. Paul puts it this way:
Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
We are not saved by repenting (turning from sin), being baptized in water, walking an aisle, saying a prayer, confessing with your mouth, being “born again”, or following Jesus’ earthly ministry. Those are mostly "works" salvation. We are saved by grace not works (Rom 11:6), through faith alone, in Christ work on the cross. It is a gift 100%. Titus 3:5-6, I Cor 15:1-4
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
He came to save sinners, not people trying to make themselves righteous by doing some kind of good work, getting wet or turning from their sins, they cannot that do anyway.
Simply believe and put your trust in the new gospel Paul gave us from Jesus. Then start reading Rom - Phil to understand what was written to us the body of Christ, so we could know what God wants from us and who we are in Christ, once we are saved. The books Paul wrote are the only place we find the gospel that saves us today. Then read the rest of your bible that is FOR us but not TO and ABOUT us. 94% of the bible is TO and ABOUT Israel, yes Israel. Don’t steal their mail and try to make it yours. And don’t be fooled by people who tell you, you need to do some good work to be saved or to stay saved or to prove that you are saved. That is not the gospel for us today which is a free gift of GRACE when we believe and trust in what Jesus did on the cross for our sins.
Eph 2:8 KJV For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 KJV Not of works, lest any man should boast.

What convinced you to change? My best friend lost his younger sister about 16 years ago, and is an atheist now. I don’t know if that’s why he’s an atheist but it seems like it’s probably a big reason. He’s smart in many things and has almost earned his phd in physics but ignorant when it comes to God and politics. He seems very resistant to even the possibility of God existing, and has no spiritual knowledge whatsoever. What can I do to help him? I’ve prayed many nights, I’ve tried talking to him about it but have had no luck so far.

What gets on my nerves is the "Christians" who say once you're saved you should immediately become perfect (like they believe they are), and if you sin one time after receiving Christ, that's it, you're toast, you're OUT!! If you say anything about grace or forgiveness, they answer with "You think you can sin all you want!! No, you're going to hell". Imagine adopting a child, and watching that child pull themselves up on the corner of the couch, then they attempt to walk, they take three steps...flop, they fall down. What person would say "You idiot!! Can't you walk? You're out of here buddy!! We're walkers in this family!! You don't see me falling down do you? Pack your little pajamas, your teddy bear, and hit the road Jack!!" We wouldn't ever do that, so why do people think God is like that? Proverbs 24:16 - For the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in time of calamity. When I've sinned, that still small voice of the Holy Spirit is there, and man am I thankful for it.

    • @JimiSurvivor

When we are born again the Holy Spirit not only gives us a consciousness of sin He helps us to overcome it:
7 “But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (the Holy Spirit) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. 8“And He, when He comes, will CONVICT the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; 9 concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10and concerning righteousness,
      (John 16:7-9)
So it is not true that new believers have absolutely nothing to guide them into the knowledge of sin and righteousness. They have the Spirit we have the Word. The Spirit also helps us to obey what God wants us to do.
“But this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD. I will put My law IN THEIR MINDS and INSCRIBE it ON THEIR HEARTS. And I will be their God, and they will be My people
      (Jeremiah 31: 33)
We have not been left as orphans. Nevertheless, you have conjured up this story that turns human sin, which is a willful act, into a baby's involuntary accident. By not portraying humans as capable of rationality and moral agency you have set GOD up to be blamed for being a bad parent. Perfect? Who demands absolute perfection? Paul said he had not arrived at perfection yet but that he "pressed towards the mark." Of course, there are many self-righteous people around just as there are people who are overly permissive about sin. Given that this is a lawless generation I think a case could be made that, overall, believers tend to be too self-indulgent.

You are talking about someone who is claiming they have arrived at moral perfection. Paul said he had not arrived or was perfect though he "pressed on towards the mark" This does not EXCUSE the countless believers who deliberately LIVE in sin and say they are saved because they were AT ONE TIME born again. In fact, the Bible does not say we know we are IN HIM because we were once born again and believe the doctrine of OSAS. What it says is:
…3 By this we can be sure that we have come to know Him: if we keep His commandments. 4 If anyone says, “I know Him,” but DOES NOT KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, he is a LIAR, and the truth is not in him. 5 But if anyone KEEPS HIS WORD, the love of God has been truly perfected in him. By this, we know that WE ARE IN HIM
      (1 John 2:3-4)
We know we are in Him because we walk in obedience to His will. A person who does not obey Him has no such assurance.

If they say that they don't live a lifestyle of unrepentant sin, I believe that. But those who claim perfection, I laugh at them. Actually, I shouldn't laugh at them, because their situation isn't funny. Instead, it's sad. A Christian is not someone who never fails, a Christian is someone who (by the grace of God) gets up after they've failed, and continues following Christ.

The fact that you desire not to sin and want to stop is pleasing to God! The desire to be more like Jesus is great evidence that God is calling you. Of course this world has its own wisdom and a lot of people are rebellious against God. But God knows his children. And if you have received Christ, you are a child of God! God isn't surprised when we sin, He has seen it all in advance.

4 years ago I was planning to kill myself on my 50th birthday, but then I learned it only takes 1 DAY to LISTEN TO N.T. Bible. In 1 day The Truth completely set me Free. I had been a homeless, suicidal, drug addicted, murdering, gay, prostitutes, with multiple personalities because I was kidnapped for sex trafficking as a runway teenager and my family never report me missing. I was a hypocrite in the Church for 48 years and "Willfully" sinning almost every single day, so I never experienced any lasting freedom through the Church, 12 steps, counselors, etc. Trying to depend on 5-15 feel-good verses every Sunday was never going to redeem my soul. 1ST JOHN 3:9-10 instantly put the Fear of the Lord in me, and I surrenders my entire will. 9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. 10 This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are!!! Now for the last 4 years I've been Completely Set Free of ALL anger, alcohol, depression, drugs, fear, insecurities, jealousy, loneliness, multiple personalities, porn, rejection, sexual thoughts, stress, unforgiveness, victim mentality, worry, etc... The Love, Joy and Peace that I get from reading my Bible everyday and knowing who Christ made me to be in Him, has made me the happiest person on the planet. I have NO desire for the things of the world anymore. I removed every uncleanly thing from before my eyes because Jesus said if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out. I can't even watch TV because my spirit is so sensitive to the vulgar commercials. I can't think of a single sin that is worth going to Hell forever. I now know that it's impossible to sin.. unless we've thought about it for at least 2 seconds, and then we decide if we want to worship God through total obedience or worship Satan with our flesh. If I don't Want to live solely for Jesus now, then God will not Make me live with him forever. I have a list of 182 other verses just like 1st John 3:9-10 from the NT where God warms us to live a sinless life. My phone # is in my YT Bio if you'd like me to text you that list.

In order TO GET SAVED you must believe in Paul’s Gospel, which was given to him by Jesus Christ for us today…that is:
-That Christ died for your sins, according to the scriptures
      -Was buried
-And rose again the third day according to the scriptures
      (1 Cor 15:1-4)
Other versus to help support the message of the gospel.
Rom 1:16; 2:16 (How will God judge the world?)
      1 Thess 4:13
1 Cor 1:17; (No baptism, but faith in the Gospel!)
Eph 1:13; (Sealed with the Holy Spirit when???)
      Gal 1: 6-9;
2 Thess 1:6-8 (Scary if you don’t believe!!!)
      2 Cor 4:3-4
      Eph 3:1-7
Every writer of these books are Paul. He’s going to every city the Holy Spirit leads him to preach the message of the Gospel
The list goes on and on. Don’t believe the words I tell you, but read and believe God’s word. By just saying I accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior is neglecting that Christ died on the cross for you. By believing in the gospel, your now placed in the body of Christ, which Christ is the head and “LORD” over, not just the church only but Lord over all things. He is NOW your “SAVIOR” because He died for your sins and saved you from condemnation and eternal death. Again follow and read the versus’s and let God guide you to victory. Remember to TEST ALL THINGS (including myself) and hold on to that which is true (1 Thess 5:21). If these scriptures contradict what you heard before then that’s your cue to research them out. Don’t play Russian roulette with your life. These versus are clear and to the point. Read the scriptures and get understanding and then set your heart on it.
See you soon... love you so very much:)

The doctrine that Cedric McCoy teaches takes away repentance, takes away the words of Christ, takes away the gospel of Christ, takes away the kingdom of God, takes away baptism for the remission of sin, and makes the words of Paul more authoritative than the words of Jesus. His false doctrine takes away large portions of the bible. He does not know the difference between a gentile and a Jew in the bible. Stay away from this false doctrine that he teaches.

So for the longest time I struggled with a Assurance of my salvation. And every time I would mess up I would question whether I was saved and really go through horrible condemnation it was awful for months. But I finally just kept crying out to the Lord for peace over this what is happening I just didn't give up on seeking God for this. A lot of people would try to make me feel better by telling me I was trying too hard oh you can't live holy because no one is holy and yada yada yada. That would only soothes my conscience for a day or two and then the condemnation would come back, because I knew what I read in the Bible was that we are called to be holy and to strive for Holiness will never be perfect but we are just strive for holiness. So finally one day I was talking to a friend and explaining how I was feeling extremely condemned in like I wasn't saying that all. So she asked me when do I when did this happen like when do you start to feel very condemned, and I said every time I sin. And right when I said that my eyes just opened up, when we fail we often act as though God failed us. We have to realize that God never fails us, he never changes, he loves us, the devil is the one who makes us guess God. So for anyone out there who is feeling condemned, begin to ask yourself who are you putting your faith in, God or yourself. If you put your faith in yourself every time you fail you'll feel as though you're not saved because you're trying to work towards something. But if you put your faith in God every time you fail you'll feel conviction will you still remember that you are loved God is working on you and that the work to be saved has been done by Jesus. So we don't have to worry about whether we were saved when we mess up we just have to worry about never giving up on striving for holiness and righteousness don't let the world low you into accepting any sin in your life. Fight the good fight of faith, and God will be with you every step of the way he does not change he is all-powerful and he will not fail you. Thanks again for the great video I always love your videos they're always very encouraging this one was great.

i can relate to this up to now, however I still experience that feeling of condemnation even now. ive watched a paul washer video and he said that when your is in your performance it will fluctuate but when its on the finished work of Christ it will never change, when we based our salvation on works its called self righteousness. I must say its easy for me to understand but often times hard to live out.

Kishna Roberts just like living based off our emotions. Emotions change like the weather, meaning will really never get anything done because will oftentimes not feel like it. But if we put our faith in Jesus and God who never change and are always the same every day we have a more solid foundation. Condemnation does not come from God that comes from the Devil. But conviction is a gift from God. Anytime you you feel condemnation quotes scripture about how you are loved and important, about the finished work of Jesus Christ, anything to quote the truth back to the devil and those feelings will go away. And pray for alleviation from feelings like that.

On the Topic of Salvation, I would put it like this. You cannot lose your Salvation because of the fact you cannot gain your salvation.....it's a Journey we are all on to reach Salvation. The confirmation is not now, but on the Day of Judgement when God opens the Book of Life in front of us.
Salvation is a 3 Part operation, for lack of a better word. Jesus has done his part by dying for our sins. Now comes our Part. We 1st need to Accept Jesus as our Lord. Then we need to sincerely Repent of our sins. Once that happens, we begin to walk in his Way/Word/Commandments to reach that ship that will sail away once the Massive flood arrives with no constraints. The Walking is our actions. So ,yes we are NOT saved Just because of Jesus. The road to that ship is rough, narrow and long. If we take our time BY not changing our ways/actions, it will be too late. We have been warned multiple times, so claiming ignorance will be in vain.
The road to Salvation does not stop at the foot of the cross. We must do our part. The woman caught in adultery and brought to his feet by the ill-intent accusers was not Only told by Jesus that she was forgiven (Saved) but to go forth and Sin No More. Finding Jesus is not just all fun and games., one must pick up that Cross and follow him. You can't just sit there in the same spot of sin and expect to better oneself for Salvations purpose. One must do what one is capable of and God does the rest. You go preach the Word of God to the stranger and God will move the stranger's heart via the HolySpirit. You are not tasked with saving the man, as that is not in your ability and furthermore it its a individual journey. You do your part and move on to the next stranger.
God will ask us on the day of judgment to account for what we did in this life. Not as a pass to heaven but as Gratitude for Jesus' death on the cross to pay for our sins and provide us with the opportunity to Salvation.
Yes, we must Not handle our Good actions as the Way to safe our own souls as we do not have that Godly ability, but instead see it as doing our part in the Road to Salvation. It's a difficult road, yet are we to let him carry our cross for us???......seems a bit selfish of us if we did. God bless my friend and my God enlighten us all in his way.

And there’s nothing you can do, no sin you can commit, no backsliding, no deception you can fall into, or later unbelief that can un-save you. He is faithful to you even if you aren’t faithful to him.
Saved by grace through faith alone. Faith. Nothing else. That’s the only condition of being saved. Christ’s death and resurrection paid the penalty for all your sins past present and future.

@@TheBibleSaysThe repentance (metanoia) called for throughout the Bible is a summons to a personal, absolute and ultimate unconditional surrender to God as Sovereign. That is BELIEF in God and Christ. Though it includes sorrow and regret, it is more than that. ... In repenting, one makes a complete change of direction toward God.
Christ died for our sins. If we could ever "repent" enough or turn far enough away from our sinful nature on our own and "sin no more" then He wouldn't have had to die. Of course those were His words, and His command, and we are to heed them! We, as believers, are no longer led by our flesh, but our spirit, which is Christ in us. He is perfect, but we are still not, there will always be a battle while we are in our flesh. But we are to live righteously and to do our best to run from sin. There is no temptation that He won't give us a way out, afterall. (1 Cor 10:13) But we will never be free-- meaning not touched from it in some capacity, in this lifetime--we are only free from it's hold and claim and damnation of us! "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us." 1 John 1:8 But we aren't a slave to it anymore! It doesn't condemn us anymore! (Rom 8:1)
When Christ came He abolished the law, which we are no longer bound by, and instead it's by grace, through faith that we are saved! That is not "rubbish" as you say, it is God's word and His truth. "Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law.
But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe. Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law. You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus" Read Galations 3. "The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith!" This is God's truth, and it's what sets us free from the bondage of sin. From the thought that we could ever be good enough, or perfect enough to earn God's love. WE CAN'T! Just as we cannot ever lose His love, once we have recieved it! We can choose to turn away from Christ, we can reject Him, we can walk away from our faith, but He will never let go of us! We are sealed until the day of redemption (Eph 4:30) and He will continue to work in us until we meet Him face to face! (Phil 1:6) Meaning we are a WORK IN PROGRESS! We will fail and we will fall and we will doubt and we will sin and we will continue to come back to God every single day of our lives until COMPLETION!
So Luke 13:5 is saying unless we repent-- BELIEVE in Christ, we will perish. It's not talking about the act of repenting of your sins. John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that He sent His only Son, so that whosoever BELIEVETH in Him shall not perish"
The repentance and remission of sins that we are to preach among the nations is the gospel of Christ! That we are to believe in Him and He will forgive us our sins! "This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness (remission) of sins" Matthew 26:28

@@kristenbeaty1835 *_Believers_* - like Abraham - are those who through or by faith choose to obey God. Abraham was justified by his works - his obedience - "and not by faith only" (James 2:20-24; Hebrews 11:8). Today God
⚫ "now commands all men every where to repent: (Acts 17:30).
If we'll obey we'll enter His mercy and grace, as promised:
⚫ "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy." (Proverbs 28:13)
⚫ "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him . . . " (Isaiah 55:7)
Outside of repentance we will perish, as Jesus and Peter warned:
⚫ "except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Jesus, in Luke 13:5)
Peter makes it clear: come to repentance, or else perish:
⚫ "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)
Salvation is by grace. We can enter God's grace *_through_* faith (Eph 2:8) . . . not just because we *_have_* faith. *Through* faith we can "see" that we have a choice to make: to either "come to God" on His terms, or else remain in our old lives apart from God. Without faith, we could neither see nor make the choice to "come to God":
⚫ "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." (Hebrews 11:6)
It is the decision-to "come to God" on His terms-that matters, and pleases God . . . and for which we receive His promised mercy and grace. James points out that Abraham was justified-and deemed a believer-"not by faith only" (James 2:24). True believers are those who-like Abraham-act on their faith and obey God. Faith is given to us to call us (Ephesians 2:8). Question is, will we answer the call and come to Him on His terms?
So how do we obey? How do we "come to God" and enter His mercy and grace?
⚫ "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent" (Acts 17:30)
Outside of repentance, we receive no mercy, no redemption. We will perish, paying our own death penalty, as Jesus warned:
⚫ "except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Jesus, in Luke 13:5)
Peter makes it clear: come to repentance, or else perish:
⚫ "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)
That's why Jesus told His disciples to preach repentance and remission of sins, not "faith alone":
⚫ "Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
And that *repentance and remission of sins* should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." (Luke 24:45-47)
Recognize "faith alone" for what it really is: it's a sly, sneaky, underhanded way of saying neither obedience nor repentance are required. It's been great news for itching ears ever since Martin Luther came up with it hundreds of years ago.
True believing goes beyond faith. James used Abraham's example to illustrate the difference. Abraham acted on his faith and obeyed, heading to the promised land and later offering Isaac. For his works - his obedience - he was deemed a believer and was justified to God . . . *"and not by faith only"* (James 2:24).
How did Nineveh received God's mercy?
⚫ "And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not." (Jonah 3:10)
Here's what Jesus had to say about Nineveh:
⚫ "The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here." (Jesus, in Matthew 12:41)
*Outside of repentance, we face condemnation. It is obvious, therefore, that "faith alone" or "just trust" is not enough.*

      Gal 1: 6-9;

I recently rededicated my life back to Christ in April. Also, I've been delivered from smoking and drinking.
I quit smoking spontaneously. Here's what happened- I was fasting from certain foods and suddenly heard the Holy Spirit tell me to quit smoking too. I laughed it off. Although I wanted to quit, I didn't think I could quit right away. Well obeyed God and I quit that same week. God blessed me to not even have an urge to smoke since! It's amazing and such a blessing.
I was also a big drinker! I have been alcohol free since May. And I was a smoker for 9 years, so I am thankful that God delivered me from that bad habit. No longer do I have the urge to drink or smoke. Maybe you should try fasting and prayer for deliverance. Hope this helps ☺

I struggle with this doubt because of my past but I constantly have to remind myself that no matter how hard I try to live righteously I will mess up and no matter what good I do I can't earn grace. The enemy wants us to lose faith in God and to be miserable. We have to have faith that the blood of Jesus Christ is strong enough to cover ALL our sins.

    • @lerinnenatalia
      @lerinnenatalia 6 лет назад +1

Jesus precious blood can certainly cover all of our sins! However, a common misconception/lie is that we are once saved always saved. The truth is clearly expressed at Hebrews 10:26 - 'For if we practice sin willfully after having
received the accurate knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice for sins left'
In order for us to always be saved, we cannot practice willful sinning. We will sin because we are imperfect, but at the end of every day our love for God needs to be stronger and louder then any wrongful desire.
1 John 5:3 - 'This is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome.”
To know things God is not pleased with, and willfully do it anyway with no shame, there is no sacrifice left for someone like that. Keep working to please God, study the Bible and get to know everything it really teaches! I also conduct free bible studies because I want to help everyone come to an accurate knowledge of truth.

@@lerinnenatalia If you have truly believed and trusted Jesus in your heart, you are born again. You can't become unborn again anymore than you can become physically unborn.
Receiving the accurate knowledge of the truth doesn't mean accepting, repenting, trusting. The gospel is given to people everyday who know it, but reject it. If it is known, but rejected; and those people then keep willfully sinning, then there is no longer any sacrifice for sins left.
John wrote so that we may KNOW we have eternal life, not just hope or keep working at it. It is God who keeps us, not our own efforts. Once truly sincerely saved, always saved by the power and grace of God.

    • @lerinnenatalia
      @lerinnenatalia 5 лет назад +1

I do notice that when people are defending this belief, it usually comes down to a blurred definition of what it actually means to "receive" something.
Not one of us chose to be born to our parents, we could neither accept or reject life. We CAN choose to accept or reject Jesus sacrifice. In fact, unless we accept it, we are not saved. So if we have to choose to become saved, then we can also choose to become unsaved.
What does it mean to receive accurate knowledge? The bible is crystal clear on this.
2 Peter 2:20,23 "Certainly if after escaping from the defilements of the world by an accurate knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they get involved again with these very things and are overcome, their final state has become worse for them than the first. It would have been better for them not to have accurately known the path of righteousness than after knowing it to turn away from the holy commandment they had received. What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog has returned to its own vomit,..."
Someone who simply knows and rejects Christ never became saved, because they never left their unclean worldly ways behind. They did not take any action or escape any immoral lifestyle.
Someone who HAS received the knowledge of the truth "escaped the defilements of the world" just like the scripture says. This means they did not just hear it, they chose it. They chose to accept salvation, follow Christ, they took action and left the world and all of its unclean ways behind.
For THIS person to then go back, continually and willfully practice what they already chose to leave behind, and still think they are saved, this is a very dangerous way to think. A dog in its vomit does not sound saved to me. In fact their final state is worse then the person that never accepted Christ in the first place.

Amen! Thanks for sharing. I think many of us feel and do the same.

I have “mostly” have all of these. I don’t have joy, and most of those positive things. I had them for two days, I felt so happy those days. 😊 But I’m growing in God. I have recently been diagnosed with mild depression and anxiety, so those two days will be ones I will always remember. Coming a true Christian, not a lukewarm one.

We all struggle with sin but that doesn't mean we continue the cycle of sinning willfully and then repenting. We should all get to a point where we are steadfast not committing willful sin. Don't be a Christian who continues in this sin cycle of ancient Israel please.

      Gal 1: 6-9;

I enjoyed this about feelings bc I fall in that trap of feeling this or that. I do seek to live a Godly life and so often overlook the blessings He gave to get me to be here today. I didn’t feel my way here but allowed God to lead me here. Its an awakening moment for me and I love this message. Thank you Reverend for this message. I look forward to many more.

ALL true.. ! I have sinned and had a time I questioned God every night when my first son was born. Idk we were in a Revival and I was saved at 11... made mistakes but God used me often in prayer to Him. Even when I wasnt living exactly great in college In loving others and praying God show me how to help them and wow... He did! 3 nights though I was 24 and hormines, new baby, and revival.. I had this calling out to God anxiety trip..
Until I but my son down asleep, crawled into bed on night 3 and asked again and I heard that voice of the Holy Spirit.. Jesus
Not me, " Beth if you didnt know me and wasnt my child, how can you keep talking to me?" Then it was all calm and truth of zero fear and anxiety.. ❤

Could not stop crying. Felt unconditional love and was so happy. It was then I knew I was never on my way to heaven until then. It is not about a religion. It is not about a denomination. It is about a relationship with Jesus. Amen🤗🙏💞💞💞

This put into words everything I've been struggling with perfectly. I'm unworthy of His love, but I'm humbled by the fact that He blesses me with it anyways. With the times that we're in, and the times we are about to face, my main goal in this temporary life on Earth is to have the conviction the apostles had. To sing His praises everyday, regardless of any hardships or suffering. To become an ambassador of His kingdom, and carry out His will in everything I do. I feel so far away from ever reaching that, but I feel confident I'll get there.

This helped so much thank you. I can go out with complete confidence now. Another thing is yes, you should feel some sense of remorse every time you sin. It could be an odd feeling, like something is missing from you, or a sense of shame from your gut. It could also stain your concious until you turn to him and repent.
    Emotions are very deceiving.
