This was nice to see, I started out shooting at 24mm when I bought my S5 over a year ago and I've drifted away from it lately. This makes me wanna go back to shooting wide!
This was useful for me as I'm heading there in a couple of months and will be packing pretty light for camera gear - 24/1.8 and 45/1.8 will be in the bag 🙂
Bro this is a epic video idea that nobody is talking about! I’m no street photography but I’m getting into it slowly and I’ve been pushing my self wider and wider. Started with the 85mm, then 50mm, 40mm and now on 35mm Maybe in Korea I’ll make the jump to a 28mm or 24mm Cheers broski TK
Thank you I'm glad you enjoyed 🙏 I'll probably wait and see. Overall the R5 does what I need it to, but we'll see how tempting it is 😅! Are you considering?
Currently using an R6 so yes! Hopefully they add some good video features. I wish Canon had a trade-in program like Apple does for iPhones lmao @@TKNORTH
@@FleaMarketVintage haha that would be nice! Hopefully you can sell it somewhere easily enough. That should definitely be a nice upgrade for you though 👌
what type of neck strap is that? I have been thinking about gettting one like that, but not sure what company has the good ones that people are using. I have seen a few ads for them on Facebook, but I dont trust FB ads at all these days.
Actually shooting wide isn’t that bad, especially in Japan. Real street photography you want to get close to subject and interact, telling the stories anyway.
Nah people just give certain lenses labels like oh 35mm should be street and 85 should be portraits. But when you buy a lens, on the box it says focal length and aperture. You can use it for whatever you want.
Then you are doing it wrong. Wide is made for street photography to show where you are! Not for street portraits, as you are focused on. Nobody wants to see people we see everywhere. We want to see your travels and sights. Feed us with hunger for travels! Not the disgust of destructive humans that we see at home.
Wow!かっこいいストリート写真です。
Fire content as always TK🙏🏼 glad to see a fellow canon creator still pumping great stuff
great photos! love them all. now i've got to get a 24mm lens just because of you :) i hope to visit japan one day also!

Also jealous that you got to run the Tokyo Marathon that's something I want to do one day haha
Liked it! I personally love 24mm for Street photography.
50mm is always my go to but strangely after going back to 50 after making this video I instantly missed the 24mm 😅
Looks like a black mist filter on there too? Love the look of those things!

Daikanyama!! I reckon I was there within days of you. Great video and shots.
At some point I should try out this lens, really great shit
Thanks yo! Really nice just to carry around for its size and weight 👌
@@TKNORTH light lenses are the best, I pretty much only use small, light lenses when I do street photography

keeping up with the schedule
Haha I trying!
Will you make it till Osaka this time? Would be nice to talk street photography or even shoot in the city that adopted me.
Sadly I'm not making it to Kansai this trip! Forever wishing I was staying longer. Hopefully next time and i can take you up on that ✌️
Loved the video and photos! Will you be upgrading to the Canon R5 Mark II?

Try Peak design
What strap are you currently using for your R5? I'm been trying to get a similar and good one to hold my cam too.
First! Great stuff man.
He's quick!! Thank you matey 🙏

But yeah street photography is relatively easy in Japan because the country is ridiculously beautiful
