- POV drive in a 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat 6 Speed Manual. 707 Horsepower and 650 Torque. This car is a beast! Pure Muscle Car right here, 6 speed manual. Big American V8 that sounds amazing, but man that supercharger whine is just amazing. I smiled every mile I drove. The car is huge and heavy, but who cares, this car has 707 horsepower, so fun. The 6 Speed Manual is the way to go to. I would definitely recommend buying this car. It is so fun and you will not be disappointed.

@@EditsByKill Nope! They still produce them. Unfortunately they don't make them for models above the R/T. You can't get a Hellcat manual anymore.

Dude these comments. Why does everyone think your afraid of the car? Does anyone drive a manual? He’s only using two gears because the gearing is long. The road is not big enough to safely do a pull in 3rd gear. And it’s not his car. Great video btw.

Hey who cares about speeding in a manual anyway?? Most people who drive manuals enjoy the clutch gear process and actually it’s quite satisfying to cruise and up shift or down!

yeah its cause the automatics have a rev limit of like 4k i believe but only in park and neutral

I was actually falling asleep but my phone hitting my face woke got me. The sound is Soo relaxing and smooth. Just awesome.

I got to drive a Scat Pack Manual, REALLY good. I've also driven the 8-sp, I thought the 8-sp made it feel like a fast Dodge Ram. With the Manual, it felt like a proper muscle car. Tons of low end and mid range torque. I daily a 2011 Mustang GT Manual 3.73. My engine doesn't wake up until about 3500 rpm. It was so nice having all that low end torque.

That´s because the gears are so tight graded.

Issue with that is that he’s cruising at high RPM, which causes the pistons to work harder, in turn wearing the engine down much faster.

Just curious......what oil do you use for it ?
I know in an equal match up that automatics are faster but the straight shifts are a blast to drive. I would love to have a hellcat but very grateful for my 6 speed R/T.

cool video but would love if you got some highway pulls in it. I know for legality's sake you can't be doing obnoxious stuff but no tunnel runs or rowing through more gears under load??
Also why is he constantly shifting at such high rpms? I shift at like 2k maybe 4k at the most.
If the point to is to go really fast then yeah shift higher but he only travels like 100ft. ?

Because that is a high performaced motor-supercharged so It can handle 4,5,6 rpm with no problem and without overheating It is not just a regular car that you will blown the engine if you change gears at that high rpms. That car needs more rpm to move through gears. Hope I solved your problem :)

My first indicator was the starting in first gear just to put it in neutral..... then a couple minutes later my suspicions were confirmed. Moving on lol.

They're not faster. A skilled driver with a 6 speed will out perform the same car with a slushbox every time. And even if an auto was a tenth of a second faster, a man still takes the manual. You don't drive an auto, you steer it.
