I want to give a big shoutout to Oruga who came up with the initial strategy and Idea for this speedrun. I would link to his RUclips or other socials but he does not have those :)
Infinite Jumps and the Far Zenith Skip has been patched with patch 1.21 on PS5. This was the patch that came a long with the Burning Shores DLC. The patch was exclusive to PS5 so this does still work on PS4, but will be slower due to load times.
I personally dont care much for this run being patched tbh. Since it was more of a fun run to showcase rather than something that would be fun to do in the long run like the regular full game speedruns. I am just happy I got to show it here and save the history of it before it got patched.
Another Update: A new method to do the Far Zenith Skip has been found. The setup is slower but still works the same.

When I’m playing Forbidden West I’m always stopping & admiring the scenery & stars. I couldn’t see myself rushing this game tbh. Cool strat tho!!
Yeah speedrunning is not for everyone, but I can promise you 99% of all speedrunners play the games normally and slowly before they do runs, anything else would be sad imo :)
Especially when the locations used are real and give us an idea what they might look like when a collapse happens

I'm not a speedrunner, but I really appreciate all the info on skips and skills to make some gameplay faster. This has allowed me to quickly advance to parts of the game I want to savor - it puts me in control of my experience in the game.
You don't have to Speedrun to find these things useful.

This does counts as NG+ any% which is a very niche speedrun category in itself. Cool video!
NG+ is actually the most popular way to speedrun Horizon games, but this will probably be its own unique category if the glitches still work on the other side of Burning Shores.

I have enjoyed IJG so much! I figured out that you can infinite jump glitch up the walls in the final boss fight with Tilda and then stand on the orange awnings overlooking the fight. You can still hit the boss with your blast sling. I've had a lot of fun breaking encounters by confusing the scripts on the boss or machine with IJG.
Yeah it is a really good way to cheese the fight :)
It was cool to see all the fighting on the base from an aerial view they put a lot of effort into that scene

Had to get that in before the DLC launches in case IJs get patched, huh? ;) Anyway, fun video! Amazing what weird and interesting stuff the Arena/IJ combo makes possible.

For those who wonder: you can still use the glitch after downloading the dlc pre-launch.
How did you preload the dlc?
I use hotspot whenever i download something or play online so it cant download automatically, but when i connect my hotspot it doesnt start and i have no option to start it
@@cubeman6639 I just went down the game page on the PS5 to where the DLC icon is, opened that and it had a download button. Worked just fine. I bought my DLC through the PS5, not through the website (could not find it there).

Hey, first off, really fun to see what can be done with both the Zenith Skip and the Arena Glitch too. Incredibly funny to see a playthrough in basically three minutes.
And also I was wondering what the Outfit that you are applying the appearance of is as I find it really good looking.
It is not just appearance it is the one I use for stats as well. But it is called "Tenakth Vanquisher" and I am using the Orange dye from NG+.
I'm searching for the quickest time/path I can speed run through a NG+ to obtain the Concentration Damage Coil I am missing from the side quest.
Is it possible to get the NG+ weapons for the DLC if I beat NG+ with your method and then complete some sidequests for champion tokens?
No has to be a normal playthrough, since the checkpoint storage loads in your old checkpoint and not a new NG+ playthrough.

Is there a way to take it off ultra hard before the burning shores starts? Or do I need to play through again on an easier difficulty?
No the game locks you to Ultra Hard, so need to start a new NG+ to change difficulty. The checkpoint storage also locks your difficulty so has to be a normal playthrough sadly.
OK. Thanks. So I currently have a NG+ at the ready for the Singularity mission. I've aquired the other 2 NG+ trophies already. So could I potentially do a manual save before doing this? Finishing on ultra hard, getting the trophy, then load manual save I made before? Hope my question makes sense

IMO if a game is beaten, for example in a world record pace, it should be made clear, it's either a fresh, new game or a new game plus. In theory you have beaten the game in under three minutes but for me a game has to be from the very begin to count and not as a new game plus as that's not available when you just purchased the game. There are many games out there using those strategies but those aren't the fastest runs for beating the game the fastest way possible, at least not when considering a fresh new start but only in a new game plus.
Also I'm fascinated about all of those people out there finding the weapons and learning on how to use them to cause so much damage. I needed 50 minutes for the final boss fight, I just want to enjoy the game and I don't want to read through everything to find weapon combinations like you guys have to make such great fights. But of course seeing those fights makes me jealous as it seems much more fun to do so.
I did pre-order Burning Shores but with my ability to play this game I don't think I can ever make it through it. So I was hoping with the infinity jump glitch to be able to see the Burning Shores story by myself yet as they fixed it and you cannot perform the infinity jump anymore that won't be possible and I simply don't have the time to get a weapon set up like you or others out there.
This being said: nice to see how glitchy the game is (was) and cool achievement ;) Enjoy your games!

I'm still in shock having found out they spent $ 212 million for the game over 5 years with so many glitches unpatched . Anyways hat down to you, love it
I think it counts as a legitimate speedrun. For the game Ocarina of Time, you can beat the game in something like 10 minutes after you load up in the territorial area by jumping around and doing a series of small glitches that then triggers the end credits. And don't even get me started on the crazy Elden ring glitches were you can also beat that game in about two-and-a-half minutes. From everything I've seen about speedrunning, it counts so long as you start the game from the main menu as intended and then trigger the end credits as quickly as possible. RC speed runs from the watch? I don't think so. But should it count as a legit speedrun? Yes. Especially with all the setup required to do it.

OK. So I've tried this 3 times now. I do the arena glitch, finish game, start NG+ on ultra hard, as soon as I exit tutorial screen, I'm back at the arena, singularity in wait (meet at campfire) but my difficulty is not at Ultra Hard, it reverts.

Oh well, it doesn't matter now. The new update version 1.021 has fixed and now prevents infinite jump.

Yes, the Infinite Jump glitch was never patched on PS4. Just keep in mind they work different when you play in 30 FPS.

Can I ask you something? I pre-ordered Burning shores and downloaded it already last night. As pre-order bonus, 2 days in advance. But it didn't start. I already finished the main story on ng+, but the focus call that should start the story.... nowhere to be found..... it doesn't happen. Am i stupid or what?
It’s a pre download. So that when it releases you can instantly play without having to wait for it to download. The actual release date is 12 am on Wednesday I believe
what where did you here that you have 2 days in advance? You can play the DLC on the 19th

A speed run which cannot ever be done anymore, as the infinite jump glitch has been patched.
Actually we have found a caouple of ways to do some of the tricks now without IJs. So once we can do all of them I will share an update video because it might still be possible.

How are you level 92?
That's ghost levels. When you finish the game and start NG+ (provided you're level 50 already) every 100k exp you level up 1 ghost level. Note that it doesn't provide any additional health or strength.

Well, sadly infinite jumps and the shield thing are both patched now.
We have found a work around for the shield and the Arena, we still need to find one more work around and then the run is possible again. Will make an update video once that happens.

Personally you cannot call it a speedrun when you using glitch and not start from start to finish. The same for other game. Many of them cannot be done on console so basically it’s not a soeedrun but a bad ways to show (hey I cannot make a normal speedrun) 🤷♂️
It's an interesting exploit and definitely clever: the exact type of exploit that speedruns have always searched out and used once found. I can definitely see a use for this for anyone who wants a quick and easy NG+ UH clear for trophies but as a "legitimate" speedrun, for me, this doesn't really count. Still, kudos on figuring this out and showing it to the rest of the community, well done.

I can't play the DLC either since I have only a PS4 but I'm still interested in the game and I'll watch Elk play the DLC so I can still enjoy the story.
Hold out for the PC port!!! I'm really hoping they start doing PC/Playstation releases at the same time for future titles in the franchise. I think they would make a lot more money for Guerilla Games, though they would have extra production costs for cross platform support. Elden Ring was on Playstation, Xbox, and PC from day 1.
