Love your videos and explanations, and that right leg action of going towards the ball is even happening on my short shots. Does the proper twisting of the right foot and femur occur to move your pressure into your front foot? I’m afraid trying this will lead me to a reverse pivot. Thanks for your help!
I watched all 4 player videos Mike did with Billy through Mike’s pay website and the last thing he wanted Billy to do was loop the club when changing directions. All this time I’ve watched Mike’s videos he’s said to feel like you stand the club up on the downswing to counteract the club wanting to get behind your hands…And he told Billy to loop the club? Seems like Mike’s contradicted himself to me. Anyone KNOW what he means?
Hi @yanksrule311…I can clarify the “loop” sensation. The effect of my right hip moving too far into the ball gave me no room for the club to naturally get behind me so my instinct was to pressure a steep shaft (tight wrists and arms) and way over doing the “tipping” sensation because of the situation my rip hip put me in. As my right hip works down and in (not out) I have a lot more room to work the club correctly. So for me as my lower body worked correctly I needed to feel my arms get softer to let the club back on the natural arc (slight behind my hands) before it works out towards the ball resulting in a slight loop. So now I can let the club work back in it’s natural arc before directing the momentum of the club head back into the ball.
I'm only just starting to get the feel of the momentum of the club doing all the work. For the first time I feel like I have a real chance to play decent golf. Also understanding how faulty traditional teaching is makes me feel better about struggling to hit the ball consistently for the last 4 yrs.
@@bloatedsodium7301 ..haha, I suppose I will say ‘well done’ ..I’ll also say though that information provided for free on the golf swing is a very good thing for which we should be grateful, not critical. It is up to us to digest and assemble it into a functioning swing or not but it’s on us.
Best piece of advice any golfer at any lvl this is a game changer went from 16 handicap to 5 with just this tip go out and apply it right now !!!!!
I'll try it. I'm still trying to break 90 (since 1967).
You must have already had a 5 handicap short game then - great drill and great tips. But you don’t go from 16 to 5 with one drill
Mike, I love the sound effects you make . I'm an old ball player. I love your instruction.
Thanks for the vid you guys work so well together.
Great Video and lesson.
Great Video
Great Feel

@@BillyFitzgeraldGolf Hi Billy. I certainly didn’t expect a reply from you. Thank you for the explanation, makes perfect sense. Best.
Like many i had the hip trust, Mike put up a video, a few years ago, sit and hit using a chair - stool, that ended that problem for me

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Way too much info going on. All that’s doing is adding more swing thoughts in the head, which is the last thing you want in golf.
..yes and you are so sure if it too, that’s one of your main issues
@@cdunne1620 shot 78 yesterday. Not to bad for my 4th year golfing. What say you?
