Can't believe I found one of my all time favorite steelhead videos. I don't have a VHF player anymore "who does" to watch my copy😂 I've always wanted to fish the river Lani fish in the video and still haven't to this day. Maybe some day. Thanks for keeping this memory alive. 👍

both have their merits
You need a rod hand and a LINE hand.Next to impossible with a DH.Ripping line off the surface with a DH doesn’t help either.
The spey rod has been a detriment to steelhead. It has allowed poor anglers to fish water effectively. It’s unfortunate.
Priceless info. Lani delivers. I still fish the System 2, such bulletproof design.

Didn't he did like a collab with Jim Teeny? I remember his Teeny flies, like Teeny Nymphs.
I am not sure if there was a collaboration with Jim and Lani. There were some films from Jim in the Mastery series fishing for steelhead.
