Awful and horrifying story about the landlord. I have to say though, the idea of the other guy opening up the door only to be confronted with what looks like a haunted Victorian apartment full of skulls and then a disembodied voice shouts WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY FLAT at him is hilarious 😂 poor guy

Especially being a mother on top of that, with a baby in the house. He had to have known he messed with the wrong one 😂
Considering everything, it must have been more of a relief to learn it was just a tenant's decor. His heart must have been in his throat at first.
Im half German, half Guatemalan. I know a lot of women from Xela in Guatemala, that got lured to the UK and Germany, to work as cleaners , Nannie’s etc., then got their passports taken and forced into prostitution, told they’d need to work debt off. A relative works with an organization, helping these girls and women and bringing them back home to their families. The trauma is so severe. Seven years is nothing for that.

How appalling to learn he was involved in such vile actions. 7 years is NOT enough. I agree, do what you can to get his sentence lengthened by having your burglary investigated again. Maybe your stolen things can even be tracked down, if he was the one who took them. I wouldn't be surprised at all. Keep him behind bars as long as possible, with as many crimes on his record as can be traced to him. Glad you and your family are safe!
Oh I sure hope they can recover some of them... I'm assuming he probably sold some of them for $ but I sure hope he was dumb enough to hold onto some things...
This is actually insane, that creep deserves way more than 7 years, he deserves at least a life sentence, forced castration and an implanted tracker chip so he can never escape what he's done, if he ever even makes it out of jail. Even prisoners have a moral code of honour and criminals who offend that code pay for it.
If women made the laws i strongly believe it would be this way.. but we have old humans mostly men who are complicit creeps and abusers.
Jesus! I knew the UK had serious issues with migrant sex trafficking but it's blindsiding when it strikes so close! I'm from the US and keep up with the news over there and it's horrible. Hope you and the family are ok, as well as the victims, and that scumbag gets what's coming to him.
Sadly it's happening more frequently now in Scotland, it's almost a weekly occurrence to see stories about it in the news.

Whaaaaat??! Holy shit, that’s so scary. I lol’d at the landlords son freaking out about the bones. I’ve had a similar scenario at our place when someone broke in and I was halfway through re-articulating a pig skeleton so our lounge room was filled with bones, clamps, tools ect. and probs looked terrifying to someone that has never seen that before. Anyway, our camera showed them breaking in, seeing our lounge room and running back out without taking anything 😂 It definitely pays off being a weirdo sometimes

I had a coworker who I got along with well, thought he was a nice guy, we even went and saw a few movies together and hung out for anime watch parties and D&D. He asked me out a few times, said I wasn't interested, he's say ok no worries. I moved away and like a year later, a friend starts forwarding me articles and texting me OMG DID YOU SEE?!?
The FBI raided the workplace and he was arrested for child you-know-what. He got 15 years (which is disgusting your guy only got 7). I have never felt chills like I did realizing how totally normal this guy seemed and how close I could have come to god knows what. It was another friend who pointed out how underage I looked (I was late 20's but honestly looked like I shouldn't even have a driver's license yet) and I think about that often when I lay in bed, how this guy I thought was a friend just saw me as a child he wanted to violate.....
That is terrifying but also sickening to know he only got 7 years for his crimes. You are so lucky to be safe. Ps. As a mom I love hearing your children playing in the background on your videos. It let's them be a part of your world even when they don't fully understand what may be happening around them, they see you doing something that you enjoy.

....I'd tell the police about your missing property, especially your guitar, that you were burglarized and maybe they could go to his flat or if they have inventory because I'm sure when he got arrested they took inventory of everything in his flat. Maybe you could find that he had your guitar or has your guitar. And maybe get it back and work it out that way. That would be such a great ending to this story. Anyways, wish you the best. Oh wow, I’ve also been in situations where someone I trust turns out to be a terrible person and it’s devastating! I’m sorry your landlord turned out to be so bad, I knew right after hearing about his son breaking in that he is a red flag. As for the burglary incident, I believe there are small chances to retrieving stolen items unless the culprit has been caught which could be likely.

😂😂 The reaction. Not a safe environment for the kids, that is horrible, I watched a thing on human trafficking a few months ago some women go back because they need money to survive. Child trafficking is just as bad.

There will be more and more of these kind of situations coming out about the moving around of women and children as commodities. There is a movie out called the Sound of Freedom that exposes who, how and where are involved and how far up the channels of control of each individual country of who is really involved. This is a good thing as horrific as this truth is, it needs to be know that these people, no matter who they are, even if they are people in power or celebrity, need to be stopped. I'm glad this man was stopped!

The justice system in this country is so lenient on disgusting people like this, it's a joke. Definitely deserves more than 7 years, those poor women have now got a lifetime of trauma because of his sick actions. I'm not surprised you feel horrified to learn someone you sort of knew was like this. I'd be horrified too!
Holy shit! That's terrifying! And I'm pissed that the scumbag only got 7 years. But yes, you should bring it up with the police that the person who was your landlord at the time you were burgled is now in jail and that you suspect he may have been the one to steal from you. There is a good chance that he or one of his "business" partners were the ones that did it.

Girl, my DENTIST went to jail for human trafficking! I'm in Chicago, US. I never would suspected! He was a big shot in his field, like the director of education for the university university and some other prestigious positions. He owned some flats in a building as rentals, but later they found out he was using them as "holding cells" for the girls (mostly Vietnamese & Thai) before shipping them off. As a patient, I noticed he had a lot of VERY young Asian girls as staff & patients patients, but didn't think anything of it except that I was surprised most of the "staff" didn't speak English and I rarely saw the same girls twice. Found out that he was, among other things, doing some dental work on some girls to fetch a higher price and he "employed" the girls to make it look like he just had employees so no one would question having these girls around. They found all this out after catching one of the US "pimps" who ratted him out. The whole thing was so gross, and I thought back to all those girls I saw and felt terrible that I was right there and didn't help them. He got a few years in jail, but not nearly enough.

I'm so sorry to hear that happened :( What an awful person and he really deserves more than just 7 years in jail. I'm glad that at lest you didn't lose your things again and worked it out with the landlord. I hope you can get your things soon and find a better place should you decide to keep them in Scotland. I was actually thinking of trying to move there next year, and will definitely be paying attention to your videos & what others say about where is the best/cheap place to go that would be safer. It disgusts me what some humans can be capable of. 7 years isn't long enough for such an evil man, imho, but then I live in the US- where prison sentences are either wildly draconian or very much not enough. Either way, if I were you, I'd definitely see if the police can look into the previous burglary more. And yeah, I'd find a new flat too.
