My kernel is now 6.9.7. Debian have updated it in their backports. You can update your whole system with backports. Another good thing is that Debian will only install the backport updates for packages that are compatible with your system. So if you have any software installed that is not compatible it won't update that software.
Your system has a good theming in cinnamon. Can I exactly know how or what coloring you have done to replicate the look? It resembles much like oxygen theming to old kde 4 i reckon

It's not Cinnamon it's the Mate desktop with Debian Bookworm but I have all of the Linux Mint themes and wallpapers.
