It's based on House of Leaves and MyHouse.wad, which itself is based on House of Leaves. The song playing in the car in the beginning is the same song that comes from the car near the end of MyHouse.wad.

Definitely good... There might be some European style and contents in this movie, not easy to see in the usual horrors.. make me think also about the original Solaris film and some Antonioni movies... great and keep on

Fascinating in some ways, but… is he the monster that needs to be trapped inside the maze? Why? was this just a random event? what made him deserve to be trapped? That seemed unanswered.

Because its the addiction that's trapping him
A metaphor to him not being able to get out the maze. Well that is my take on it any way..hope that helps
