To be fair, Din wanted a new Razor Crest originally, he only took the N-1 as a compromise.
true but if its just something thats like heres a new razor crest without any context that would be an issue i just hope theres a good reason for it

It makes sense that Din would still want a new razor crest, especially since the N-1 isn't as convenient. I think it would be funny if this new one belongs to Zeb, and he's just lending it to mando.
You can write it off as he wanted Gorgu home that a ship to be more familiar than a N1 or he like that ship that much
@misterlukke6219why would Zeb need or have a Razor crest? Carson Teva just uses an x-wing.
The Armorer omitted the line “From this moment on, I shall never remove my helmet” at Ragnar’s baptizing in season 3’s finale which made it clear to me that she changed her stance on that especially in light of reunifying all the different clans. They have moved forward in that regard!
That and telling Bo Katan to remove her helmet after she was also redeemed

The N-1 doesn’t have a bathroom, let alone a shower or space for them to stretch or walk around during long trips through hyperspace (which can take weeks or months!!)
Or space to transport a bad guy, which is his job after all.
The issue, from an audience/narrative standpoint, is that they’re just bringing back the same old things. At least give him a new type of ship.

@thedapperdolphin1590perhaps, but I think that’s underestimating the audience. He loved the first ship so it makes perfect sense to give him a shiny new one, particularly since so many of us thought the N1 was just so stupid.

1:19 They literally provided the reason for it in the trailer though. He really cant collect all those bounties in the N1 and it's in Din's character to seek a familiar ship type to get back to business.

0:25 I love that in star wars we can go from skeleton crew to andor and the mando as well as animated shows with completely different tones yet all feel right in the universe. Not many franchises can do that

Regarding the N-1, I thought it was pretty cool, but it is not suitable for Din’s new missions, bounty hunting. Yeah they could have got a different ship, but Din was looking for a Razor Crest previous to getting the N-1

I admit I liked the “return” of the RC. More room for captures means it’s more a pickup truck than a the N1 Sports car, which suits Mando better.
Grogu saluting was really adorable and one of the highlights of the trailer but all in all i'm really looking forward to it this was probably the better trailer not to say the first one was bad or anything but this one had more context without giving away too much.
Going back to the waters of Mandalor brings back the Mythosaur

I'm very excited about the movie. I'm going to see it with my boys, 9 and 7, and I'm fully prepared to bawl my eyes out in the theater. A story about a dad trying to teach his kid how to protect himself for the eventual day dad isn't around anymore??? I'm done for.

Such an exciting time!! I was 7 when the Clone Wars movie came out in theaters (what'sup Rotta) and my parents were 7 when the original Star Wars movie released. Hope y'all all have lots of fun and great memories. This is the Way!!! ❤️
Can we stop complaining about the Razor Crest. It was made pretty clear that he loved that ship and it's style. It was also made pretty clear that his Razor Crest was NOT the only one in existence. Makes the character more believable to decide to replace it with another one.

I absolutely agree with you! I just want a Star Wars movie to have that Rebels feel with alot of fun and the latest trailer did that and more. I have hope again, can't wait to see it!
This trailer made me excited to see star wars on the big screen again. I'm really glad they are giving pedro scenes outside the helmet again, those scenes are definitely Din's best moments. I am left wondering how the immerial reminant plotline connects to the hutt plotline, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.
I was hoping for Embo... I can't wait to see him and Anooba in live action. Loved the trailer... didn't give away too much of the story and was full of fun and interesting moments.

I'm having so much fun watching reaction videos to this trailer because like I don't know if I can remember a Star Wars trailer that just filled people with joy so much, like I'm not saying it's the best trailer. I'm not even saying that it makes the movie look like it's going to be great. I'm just saying there's this like spark of joy and giddiness that people have watching this trailer that I just don't recall seeing on that level before and I just love that. Like I watched Scotty Jayro's reaction video earlier and I'm pretty sure he was about to cry at the end of it ❤️ Also seeing Mollie's joyful reactions in y'all's reaction on your Patreon. And like you said, this just looks fun. This looks like a blast. And to see and feel peoples' joy from this silly little trailer is just pretty darn cool...

The helmet being removed by an adversary may be different than Mando removing it himself.

In the one scene in this trailer when his helmet is removed, someone else is removing it. Din isn't taking it off himself. So that makes me wonder if he just keeps it off after that happens. But at least in the scene in this trailer if you really look, he's not the one removing it.
The return of the Razorcrest makes sense: it is a much more practical ship that fits the adventures and jobs he takes on. A two person star-fighter, although fun, is a lot less practical. Plus, you can live on it much more easily, which fits with the vibe of Din keeping to himself.

I think the vision was always clear, it's just that the Disney execs forced the creative team to rush TBOBF and season 3 while Pedro was unavailable

I think the helmet thing is as simple as he’s just used to keeping it on. It’s an old habit at this point and while he may not feel shame about it or anything like before, it’s still just his personal preference.
In defense of the new Razor Crest I do think it (or at least a bigger ship than the N1) was necessary. Din and Grogu can't feasibly live in a small starfighter after all. Sure they have their plot of land on Nevarro but they're bounty hunters, they need a mobile home as well.
That said, I hope the N1 doesn't entirely go away. Would be cool if the Razor Crest had a space for it to dock on the side or something.

It makes sense the Mando has a new Razor Crest, not just because he needs more space or a bigger ship. He loves that model of ship. When he gets to N1 he keeps telling Peli Motto that he wants a Razor Crest, nothing else, still even if he also likes the N1. If Mando gets to choose a new ship it fits his character that he's going to choose the model of ship he loves and hasn't stopped wanting.

Thanks to the Weekly Planet I have constantly refered to this movie as 'The Mandolorian vs Groglet' and I refuse to ever stop.
The N1 is cool and fast but doesn’t make a lot of sense for two bounty hunters. They need more room for transporting everything they need let alone their bounties. The carbonite chamber would help and they would actually have living quarters for long trips. It would save a lot of money they would need to use for lodging and such as. It makes perfect sense to me that larger ship works better.
The deck of cards is similar to the deck of cards that law enforcement agencies use for their most wanted.
Dinn need a bigger ship he can dock the N1 with. Hopefully he still owns it and can take it out anytime he wants like a guy that also owns an expensive midlife crisis sports car.
I always love the positive energy here im still intrested in star wars and a few bad projects wont change that for me
Not to mention, Embo should have a new Anooba (unless it’s retconned) as Marrok died by 5 ABY or so

I love it all, I think it's fantastic! As a fan literally for 39 years and counting, maybe I'm easy to please... but I've never seen a Star War I didn't adore on some level, even if and when I had criticisms. Mando S3 is just exactly my flavor of SW, as is BOBF: two tons of fun -- glorious, pulpy fun! -- with the thematic and emotional stuff kept to a minimum, percolating underneath the adventure (heh) and excitement (heh), except for when it truly matters. This looks like that, and I for one am thrilled! With the more cinematic visuals and faster pacing of a two-hour movie, I think this will be an epic crowd-pleaser.

6:12 I agree on this part about needing to go back to the mines but, there is a line stated by the armorer in season 1 episode 3 saying
“did you remove your helmet…has it been removed by others”
This is the same line stated in the rules but that second line had never been talked about. That could be another process in the creed but we will see when the movie is released.
