Their adorable appearance is unreasonable! It makes us wish we could share our homes with them. They are far too smart to live inside with us though. We'd never be able to keep them entertained enough to keep them out of mischief. So, if you are obsessed with baby raccoons (like me), and you think you wanna get one as a pet (not like me), then just take a page from this awesome lady's playbook! Get some training, and become a rehaber (or volunteer for one). That way, you get to save them and cuddle those precious little creatures, and they will get to remain what they were always intended to be. . . wild animals. I keep seeing "pet raccoon" videos, and I think it's so selfish to do that. This video is so refreshing, and it shows people what a responsible expression of love for this species looks like too. ❤ Much love and respect for your work!
They are incredible critters. Problem solvers (how DO I turn off the TV for attention?) And strong. I think your rehab suggestion is the best. They do not make good pets!!
Animal lover here. We built our first home on the edge of a wooded mountain. The back deck was elevated on posts to the first floor, it spanned the length of the house, and I’d left a beautiful tree to go up through the deck, a growth hole surrounding it.
In Spain many people bought pet raccoons from abroad because they look cute. Raccoons aren’t native here and we don’t know how to handle them. So many were lost or abandoned because they are too smart and can be aggressive. Smarter than those who bought them, for sure. Now it’s an invasive species that’s causing a lot of harm in our woods. As far as I know, they are killed when found. I don’t know why people can’t just get a dog or a cat or a damn fish tank.🤦🏾♀️
@@booktrovertida It's so sad to read this. It's most likely the males that became aggressive when they were in their juvenile phase and their hormones for breeding began to kick in. It's something that we hear about frequently here in the US. The females can develop an attitude for whatever reason as well, but more often males. There are times we see in some of these videos that there's rare occasions that a raccoon has been seemingly bonded with someone, but you just never know when something out of the ordinary could happen. I absolutely love them. I've never made friends with a grown raccoon. I did bottle feed a newly born, eyes unopened, days old, raccoon, for a little over a month until I could get her to a rehabber and she was at a wildlife sanctuary. I was happy to see her go where she could have the best experience to be a raccoon.
I'm always super grateful to the person who recognized the situation is beyond them. Instead of trying themselves and risking the slight chance of survival, they selflessly reach out and surrender them.

Thank you for saving them!! They are precious!🥹💝 We saved a baby raccoon once (her name was Sammi) after she was abandoned in our elderly neighbors hot attic the summer of 2009. We raised her from Ziggy’s age up until she was tragically hit by a car about a year and a half later. Raccoons get such a bad rap, but they are actually highly intelligent, sweet and playful. And, they do not forget where home is and will come back every dawn (which is how tragically, Sammi passed). 💜 We must be kind, caring and compassionate, and try to save as many furry friends as possible!
This is how you “SAVE” a wild animal. Keep it alive, healthy, and able to return to the life it was meant to have. Not as amusement or affection for a human. Kudos to this rescuer. She knows what she’s doing.
@JPM.de-la-P.99 All wild animals should be left wild as they can carry diseases, etc. But I've always helped those in need when necessary and would definitely not harm them!
Been rehabbing raccoons and all the other Florida wildlife for over 20 years, from a sanctuary that I volunteered. You did a hell of a job. 😊 Should be proud of yourself and thank you❤
😊❤❤ May God bless all you do. I love this video, it made my heart smile. It's these videos that pick me up when I'm down. I found 2 baby squirrels that had gotten blown out of their nest during a storm. My amazing angel cat put them on our carport so we would see them. I found a wonderful wildlife rescue who took them right away. My cat guarded them all night. The wildlife rescue told me that was unusual for a cat, but God is good.

The work you do to save these babies is inspirational and thankless but thanks to you you have this amazing outcome so congratulations. On a different note gold stars for wearing the appropriate PPE when interacting with these babies because this contributed to their overall care and survival. Blessings to all involved.
THAT LITTLE SLEEPY GUMMY BABY MOUTH! ❤ Racoons are like the perfect blend of cats and dogs. I don't encourage anyone to have them as pets but rehabilitation and as much re-wilding as possible is ALWAYS a good thing. The Dodo gives me hope for humanity. Love to everyone who understands that without every other species there is no ability for human life. My greatest wish is for humanity to wake up immediately and finally understand & decide that symbiotic living with EVERY other species in our various habitats is vital. Not only for for them, but for us.
Oh my word. I have never seen a baby raccoon before and did not have a clue what you were taking care of and until the pictures came up of them as they matured how amazing. Thank you!!😊
This actually looks like a real rescue video. Not one of those fake “a girl found a baby animal” (cue video of a perfectly clean and well fed animal that clearly came from a breeding farm running on her porch) that make so many people foolishly praise them. This woman has clearly devoted herself to animals and does deserve the praise.

And, they do not forget where home is and will come back every dawn (which is how tragically, Sammi passed). 💜 We must be kind, caring and compassionate, and try to save as many furry friends as possible!
Thank you for loving and raising them. I raised 3. And it truly changed my life. It is beyond wonderful that you have a safe place to release them.
Isn't she the cutest little thing?! Of course Ziggy is adorable too! God bless you! God bless the woman who turned her in to your rescue.
The little lip smacking at the beginning was so so cute. ❤❤❤ love what you do!!!
I was looking for this comment ❤
I love these beautiful babies thank you for rescuing them ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank u for rescuing her! Then a companion! They are precious! God bless u!
This is how you “SAVE” a wild animal. Keep it alive, healthy, and able to return to the life it was meant to have. Not as amusement or affection for a human. Kudos to this rescuer. She knows what she’s doing.
You save one soul and you save the world! Bless you!
So precious!!❤ And so tiny! I'm so glad you saved her
What a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing❤
Oh what a lovely story. Thankyou for looking after these beautiful babies🙏💚
Precious... I have been around baby raccoons, fed them bottles, burped them, had then fall asleep hugging me... thdyre absolutely adorable
Such a sweet little love. The two together are just heartburstingly cute!! Wow. I love wildlife. Thank you for nurturing them all. So great.
What a great “job”. Love & respect to all lil creatures & their caregivers❤
OMGEEE, sorry for all who think these little critters are rodents, but to me, they are just THE CUTEST and SO SMART!! Bless them 🥰🦝🥰
@JPM.de-la-P.99 All wild animals should be left wild as they can carry diseases, etc. But I've always helped those in need when necessary and would definitely not harm them!
Pretty much love all the critters. This little one was so adorable. Babies are precious. I'd love to be involved in doing something like this.
Raccoons aren't rodents, they are carnivores 😊 I like raccoons ❤
Hey rodents are pretty great too.
@@Nayr747 Agreed! I've even rescued a tiny field mouse with a broken leg before 🥹
Thank you for your love and commitment to this precious creature
Been rehabbing raccoons and all the other Florida wildlife for over 20 years, from a sanctuary that I volunteered. You did a hell of a job. 😊 Should be proud of yourself and thank you❤
Thank you 🙏🏽 so much for everything you do for this precious little babies ❤
God Bless you 🥰💕
Thank you EarthAngels!! 🌹💐😊
Geez. I can't cry anymore. No more tears! Thank you for rescuing her.
Hero cat for sure
Thankyou for caring. Brings joy knowing the little one has a life ahead.
I had no idea they looked like tiny werewolves as a newborn 😱😭🥹 omggggosh. ❤ I'm so thankful for all the great people who do stuff like this & treat animals with such care & kindness ❤🎉
They're now both a bonded happy family together. Thank you for helping the little guys.🫂🙏🏼😇🤗🥰❤️🦝🦝
Wow..thanks for the patience and dedication to feed her❤❤❤ and making their lives happier
Oh my word. I have never seen a baby raccoon before and did not have a clue what you were taking care of and until the pictures came up of them as they matured how amazing. Thank you!!😊
Thank you for saving them! ❤
Thank you for rescuing these cuties. I like that they can come and go as they want, living their best lives ❤
Super sweet . So joyful to watch
Well done for saving the tiny baby ❤
This actually looks like a real rescue video. Not one of those fake “a girl found a baby animal” (cue video of a perfectly clean and well fed animal that clearly came from a breeding farm running on her porch) that make so many people foolishly praise them. This woman has clearly devoted herself to animals and does deserve the praise.
Wow! 2 of the Luckiest Racoons on the planet for sure💕👍🏼The final shot of one in the dark astounded me with their impressive size🤣They obviously are still very well fed😊‼️
Lil fur babies ❤
After Guardians 3, I can’t look at a juvenile raccoon without crying. First word: “Hurts.” 😢
Your editing is so smooth, loved it!
So sweet and both now living their best lives. Thankyou
You are just such a superhero. God bless you for taking care of these little critters where they would have no hope, but you gave them life and happiness❤❤❤
They are so perfect together!! ❤️❤️💙💙
So cute! ❤ its cool they'll be safe & can visit when they want to have a safe place ❤
David Bowie would approve!!
Thank you for everything that you do for these beautiful, precious adorable fur babies we need more people like you in this world. ❤
That's a success story, no doubt! Thanks to your love, care n fortitude. Good hearted woman. 😊
fun fact, raccoons in the wild live at around 3 years while raccoons in captivity live up to around 15
In Gefangenschaft werden sie auch nicht gefressen. Dieses Leben würde ich vorziehen.
How lovely you are and what a beautiful place for you all to live in. God bless you and all the animals you care for.🙏🏻😇❤
Beautiful little creatures. You're an absolute Gem for caring for them the way you do.
Thank God for sending a special Angel to save these beautiful animals 🙏 GODBLESS YOU 💖
What an adorable little poppet! She's so pretty, and Ziggy's a cutie ❤
