  • I packed the Subaru with all my gear for a three day rockhounding-dry camping trip in the Mojave. I’ll show you my canvas 10x14 Springbar, Family Camper Tent and how I setup for colder weather in the dessert and my camp.

I would enjoy a review of that shower/outhouse, if you have the time.

You bet. Thank you for asking and watching. Well it’s a Joolca. We tried two other types previous to this one. Flimsy describes both. This can handle the desert winds no problem. Great ventilation and pockets for clean and dirties. There a good floor. It’s sturdy. We use it as a shower and bathroom. The company offers shower equipment options and two sizes. Easy to pop up and take down. Stores compact and in a good bag. My wife loves it and that gets me out more often. Worth the money.

Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner, lots of campus catering over the last week. It is manufactured by Campy Gear, Little Chubby model. There “was” a larger model, Chubby. I bought this in 2021 off Amazon. I did a little research before responding to you to see if it was still available… it appears to me that the original company may have sold to another. The same brand name but the logo has been changed and the current version of my model looks nothing like mine. Mine feels built tuff but the reviews on the new model are bad. I did see one on eBay, used like mine. I love mine. Hope this helps! I would have loved to recommend it.

@@Gene.Guazzo What is the rated btu output ... if you know it, please? Does it run on propane or on iso butane?

@@WayWordWay It runs on propane. there are some similar models out there. I put a tea kettle on the top for my coffee and to add some humidity to the tent since it's so dry in the upper dessert. I can run this on a 20 lbs. tank for 25-30 hrs. depending upon full blast or being conservative. I'm not in front of it right now but I believe it is about 8000-9000 BTU's. I like the option to place a pot of water or cook some food on the top. I listened to some of your band's music yesterday, very cool stuff.
