  • In a blockbuster takeover, Nippon Steel has bought the iconic American producer United States Steel in a $14 billion deal. The combined company will have a global steel output of 86 million tons and is part of Nippon Steel’s program to achieve 100 million tons of global annual production.

    If the operations are still run in the US and no jobs are lost, this is a big win, Japan is a great economic partner that has proven track record of trust and cooperation. If they continue to invest in progressive technologies we could see real returns from this

    Japanese industry does not have a track record of CEO's & shareholders raping the business, so this is an encouraging development.

    Japan does not COPY technology unlike the neighbor .

    Have y'all went and seen if that sizzling Tower or that hurts tower from over and the olden days of the Soviet years sitting there separating y'all's material from the inside development of your equipment putting you more slack than material
