Yes, Yes - if you react to PTX 'Gold' it's a must to watch the original first - just to really prove (if you need to) how damn good they are - especially Mitch
One of the impressive things about this At Home EP is the fact that they did this while in quarantine. They worked out their arrangements via videoconference, then each person recorded their own audio and video, which they sent to their producers. The fact that they were slightly off isn’t all that shocking (well, it is for PTX, but given the conditions....) but that there was as little of it as there was. And don’t worry, PTX fans appreciate music nerds. PTX’s twitter bio describes them as choir nerds. 😆
I heard the breath was a touch off, but they got it back right away. It was super subtle, but I know they tracked everything separately, so that's why I called myself out for being nit-picky. I know how good they are, this just means they're human and not machines designed in an a capella lab somewhere!

@@DJSwitchPDX it's my absolute favorite cover from them. I loved it from the Cranberries and hearing it again brought out emotions from a younger time in my life. When you were talking about reverb I kept thinking back to their live performance of "Silent Night" that they recorded in a church - you should check it out. Another recommendation: Daft Punk (private performance) - it's live and no mics

Personally, I’d love your take on their Sing Off series performances....there’s even one where Ben Folds gives them advice about taking a pause to add to the arrangement, lol! You can literally see them absorbing each good bit of advice, each experience, and growing in front of your eyes. Thanks for a really informative reaction!
Thank you for watching! Ben Folds was half the reason I watched Sing Off when it was on the air. His "Reinhold Messner" album was such an inspiration back in the day, and his song "Lullabye" is still one of my favorite works of contemporary pop from a purely artistic standpoint. I'm gonna have to find some of his stuff to react to soon haha
I say this every time but the editor had to put 5 totally separate recordings together of people that harmonized without hearing each other sing. Then he had to put 5 different videos shot from 5 different houses and make them sound and look excellent. Which makes it even more amazing.
Again, kudos for the depth and breadth of your analysis. Do not fear to mention the small weakness a human performer might have when your obvious joy at listening is almost tearful to watch. Keep it up.
Any quirks you find are 100% forgiven 😍.. Please do more! The challenge is on! How about Sound of Silence, Come Along, or even some of their originals..
Thanks! I mentioned another react channel from a vocal coach that inspired me to do these in my most recent video. I didn't want to create something unless I felt I had something to offer.
It is very common for Traditional Irish Music to use this style of cry that Mitch is singing ... Dolores O’Riordan: R.I.P. came from that Traditional training. It is also used in instruments too...gives the songs sense of pain and angst. Check out The Corrs and the sound track to River Dance. the base note being held is also Used a lot in Traditional Irish Song arrangements.....this would be something playing the Uilleann pipes...like the bag pipes but you don’t blow into it. I was fortunate to see the Cranberries live here in Perth Western Australia back in the 90s when they were starting out.
I loved The Corrs back in the day! Couldn't ever get into Michael Flatley and Riverdance, but that might be worth revisiting as an adult. My tastes are certainly broader now than they were 25 years ago haha.
The end section built voice by voice on the bass drone line before they started the last lyric. I hadn't noticed it in my previous 50? listens to the track. Thanks for the music education. I subscribed after your first video. I'm looking forward to more.
OMG, I loved your reaction when you realized what song it was @ 3:34. Great reaction, great analysis. Will definitely look at some of your other stuff.
Sharing your technical expertise is awesome... very cool to hear the musical background, but then combined with the applied production experience provides great insight into the the sheer redonkulous talent involved in these endeavors.. :D
The way your face lit up when you recognized it is exactly what happened when I played it for my wife. She looooooooooves The Cranberries. And while she shares my love of PTX, she ALSO doesn't hop on youtube or facebook much, and assumes I'll keep her in the loop on any new music they put out. So I was able to hide the fact that they were doing this song from her until I had her parked in front of the computer with the good speakers and hit play.
Man, you always make me listen that much harder & I've already been listening so microscopically❤ Yaaaaassssssss hunty, anything that makes me study music even closer is dear to me. You help me hone my craft, all while enjoying my passion💛
You and Jacob Restito are reactors who get into the technical aspect of things in a very helpful way. Jacob has interviewed the guys behind the video's. The arranger, the product engineer etc. Give him a look if you would. Thanks for your deep technical talent to share insights with us
This song makes me so emotional. The first time I heard it I immediately had the thought that they really made this for us, the pentaholics, as sort of an appreciation. I'm a lyrical person so the words for me gave of a message that this is what they think about their fans. Love your analysis, it's really refreshing!
The syncopation is still pretty amazing considering they all recorded separately in their own homes. I'mma subscribe to see what other content you got.
Greetings from Dominican Republic (an island in the Caribbean Sea) I stumbled across your channel as I was looking for reactions on Pentatonix. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I learned by watching your comments. I subscribed and I will definitely check some of your non-Pentatonix reaction videos. Keep up the good work
LOOOOOVE ur reactions to pentatonix u react from technical & dj point of view which u would not usually see her in RUclips & love your passion! so thank-you I'm actually really enjoying your videos keep it up!!
I had to get just to you're technical reactions, but I like it. Because I see you're enthusiasm and love for the music. I'm looking forward to more of you're reactions
Thanks for your reaction. I love this song cause it's so relaxing. I really appreciate your commentary about the song. Some of the stuff you mentioned I had noticed but you brought attention to a couple of things I didn't catch. Thanks again.
Thanks so much for your fascinating and very informative reactions to Pentatonix. I have been a fan of theirs since the beginning, watching them grow and mature and continue the absolutely amazing and beautiful music they gift us with. Pentaholics are all ages and I happen to be a fan of a "certain" age. They appeal to such a wide audience, offering some covers of music I grew up with, but also introducing me to new artists all the tme. Thanks for sharing your knowledge of music with us, helping us understand what is so appealing to so many. It's never too late to learn! Thanks again!
I would love to see you react to some songs from the band Walk of the Earth (or WOTE for short). They make many covers, but also original music. Amazing timing, playing music on anything from forks and screws to childrens toys, and a LOT of different instruments, some of them custom made for the group. Also amazing singing voices, and great arrangements. So much talent and a lot of FUN! :) song suggestions: Cheerleader Shake it off Hello Shape of you A History of The Beatles Girls like you Old town road Hey Ya! ......and so many many more ;)
My dude, do NOT apologize for nerding out to 90s music. This song came out when I was in middle school but I first heard it the summer right before high school and it’s been a favorite ever since. When I got to this track on the EP I nearly died because, as you said, this song is a classic and the 90s will always be my era of music and they KILLED it. Also just want to say that my favorite thing about Pentaholics is that we’re not Gatekeepers. We WANT and welcome new fans because that’s just more people to nerd out over this group. And we especially love watching new Pentaholics being born because we get to live vicariously through you guys as you discover the band for the first time. Also, I just subscribed and will check out your other videos because I really like reactors that have music knowledge cuz then I get to learn something new.
Thank you SO MUCH!!! I've been quietly enjoying their work since Sing Off, but this is the first time I've stepped into a more active role as a content creator within a community like the Pentatonix community. To be completely up front, I had already seen the effect the PTX fans had on other react channels, and that's part of what made me want to be here. What's not to love about all this positivity and enthusiasm? haha I think I really discovered a capella in late 2000/early 2001 via Napster. The Brown Derbies, The Duke Pitchforks, The Academical VIlliage People (which I think is the group Sam from Critical Role used to be in) ... all those college groups you find on BOCA compilations, basically. Then my college choir sound gig was 2002-03 when I was 18/19. So when I found out about a show called "The Sing Off" and that there was a group from University of Oregon on there, I had to check it out. Then, obviously, I stumbled on PTX. I hope I get to share some of that stuff with a platform like this some day. There's some great a capella classics I'd love to dive into.
I’m a fellow PDXer and I love PTX! You do Portland proud. I appreciate your keen auditory and visual observations. You can’t nerd out too much as far as I’m concerned!
Awesome! Welcome! If you get out to the Rose City Comic Con or the Portland Retro Gaming Expo, come say hi! I'm usually in the arcade with my turntables at the local cons :)
I absolutely adore The Cranberries, and Dolores' death saddens me to this day. To see your reaction when you recognized the song was priceless, and made me subscribe. From one Saxophone player to another, thank you!
I like that you backed up after you talked about the different parts. Came for Pentatonix When a party is over reaction. Came back for this. going to watch Weird Al react next. I like your style.
I just discovered your channel..better late than never lol I enjoy your technical take on your reviews. I saw an interview with Pentatonix. This EP was created and produced entirely by them because they are all in their homes now due to the pandemic. They were discussing the challenges of learning how to edit and produce. I think they did a great job! If you want to be blown away by Scott's bass abilities please listen to or watch sound of silence. This one is amazing. Ty for your reviews
I am a PTX fan and loved their arrangements since they first appeared in the Sing Off. I discovered you through all the reaction videos i have watched lately. I like to watch the people's reaction to the impressive vocals of PTX. I espacially like the explanations from a vocal coach's perspective. But as soon as i saw that a DJ also reacted to the videos i had to look for it. After seeing some of your videos now, i have to say, that i have never seen a guy who explained the perfectly produced PTX music videos in such detail. The langague, which you use to explain the music production is impressive. I am very happy that you choose to implement your own content by explaining the production and not only reacting as many others. So continue with this passion and i am very interested in the new stuff which hopefully is coming in the future :) Last one thing: Check out their cover of Imagine. The mentioned silence, which produces the drama, is also used there.
I absolutely love Pentatonix but I would like to suggest three other artists. Peter Hollens is a fantastic artist as is his wife Evyonne Hollens. Peter does mostly an accepla (probably spelled wrong) song list. Evyonne's play list is mostly with instruments. When they sing together it is magic. Now if you're up to reacting to an instrumentalist, I suggest Lindsey Stirling (Violin). She's the one that "America's Got Talent" said could never fill a venue and that her music, at times, sounded like rats being strangled. Lindsey had to push through those kinds of comments. Push through, she did as she just hit 100 videos on RUclips and 3 BILLION views. She is now a motivational speaker, dancer, singer, and a believer that everyone has talent and goodness in them. Oh, she's also a multi-millionaire. Not bad for a girl that the entire musical community said she wasn't good enough and there was no place for her type of music. You couldn't go wrong any of these three.
I'm familiar with Peter's work, but I don't think I'm familiar with Evyonne. As for Lindsey, funny thing ... one of the guys in my DJ crew? His brother is her touring lead sound tech. :) But it was through being a fan of Lindsey that I discovered Peter years ago, so these are all no brainiers for me. Great suggestions!
DJ Switch PDX i would suggest first doing 2 of Lindsey’s collabs with PTX. They have Radioactive and Papaoutai. Both with Kevin playing his cello too right along side of her.
Hi! Yep - here for your PTX reactions :-) I've subscribed as well. I really enjoy your notes and information about the production and singing. I'm not a singer or in any way a musician - so to hear and learn why they are so good in a technical sense is very interesting to me. Thank you.
Welcome to the channel! I hope you'll check out some of the non-PTX stuff as well. I'm a fan of all music, so I'm trying to keep things a bit diverse. :)
@@DJSwitchPDX Thank you - I love music - and am a child of the 70s listening in my teens and twenties to 80s and 90s music. Love Musicals and classical - will definitely check out some of your other reactions.
For something different definitely check out their original music. And I LOVE Mitch and Scott's duo project Superfruit. Which is mostly original music. The covers are amazeballs but there is something so amazing in their original music that gets overlooked.
Please react to something live from them!!!! I love your insight into the production and would love to hear what you have to say about their live performances. You’re the best reactor to PTX I’ve seen! Very much appreciate your pro opinion
Thank you! I will get to some live stuff, but right now I can only do a couple videos per week because of my day job schedule, so it might take a little while.
They filmed, choreographed and produced everything themselves separately in their individual homes during quarantine then sent everything to their editor for final production! That's why the individual boxes or frames if you will.... Here's the link of an interview they did explaining the details! ruclips.net/video/NLg2zfkOaC8/видео.html
So ... I was OBSESSED with those movies, and when I was playing peewee hockey as a kid, my local house hockey league named their teams after NHL teams, and my team was called "The Mighty Ducks." We won the Oregon State championship in '97, and that film franchise has meant the world to me ever since.
@@DJSwitchPDX That's awesome! I live in a tropical country and most of the people here probably don't even know what hockey is. 😁 But my cousins and I grew up watching and loving it. Ah the nostalgia.....
That was so educational. Thank you so much for this. Mitch said he fought for the band to do this. If you have twitter go to Mitch Grass is page and he talks about this song.
Another rad analysis! Also, I like your d20 hat :) PTX’s version of Silent Night live from a church is gorgeous and un-mic’ed, and it’s neat to hear the way their voices blend in that super natural, and naturally reverb-y, space. It’s worth checking out, if you haven’t seen it already. Have an awesome day!
Thanks! The d20 logo says "RC" and "CC" which is from Rose City Comic Con, a local con in Portland where I've been lucky to work as the DJ/MC in the arcade for the last couple years, and even got my vinyl copy of Weird Al's first self-titled album signed by Al! I've been working with RCCC for a few years now, and I've been lucky enough to serve as DJ/MC for the Portland Retro Gaming Expo since 2011. This would have been my 10th annual show with PRGE if it wasn't for the pandemic, so as you can imagine, I'm pretty excited for next year (assuming they find a vaccine)!
Great reaction! You should really react to their "evolution of music". Its a live recording and you could really hear how tight they are. Even though its one of their earlier medley videos. Enjoy becoming part of the pentaholics :-)
@@DJSwitchPDX yes! It all the people who are absolutely crazy about PTX. Check out the youtube channel, pentaholic, lots of good videos on there. Thanx for the reply.
If you want something completely new that you’ve probably never heard the original of, try their song Come Along. It’s truly interesting and fun! I also have been into Butter x Dynamite lately. I’m a bit older so I had not actually watched any BTS videos, and PTX does a mashup of these 2 songs
I’d love to your reaction to one of their first Christmas songs...Carol of the Bells...Mitch does much of the song and one reactor wondered when Mitch took a breath early into the song. Wondering if you can find the point where he does take a breath, because it really sounds as though he doesn’t yet carries the tune up, down, and all around. New subscriber. Thanks for the technical comments.
I *think* they recorded this separately, and that might have something to do with the slightly off of sync-ness we see in this one! Great reaction, I love yours as one of my top PTX reactors!
You mentioned in the first PTX video that you did sound mixing for a vocal jazz group in college - would love to hear your thoughts on either The Manhattan Transfer (their cover of Cantaloop is so good) or New York Voices. I sang in a vocal jazz group in high school and I've always loved those two groups.
So, yeah, I'm 3 minutes in the video and I had to stop to write this: yes I found your channel looking for reactions to ptx songs, and got recommended your reaction to hallelujah. You know what? I've lost count of how many reaction videos I've watched and I usually stop right after the song ends if not earlier, in videos that are usually not longer than 10 minutes, and forget all about that channel. I suscribed to yours mid-video, the first one I watched from you, which was three times longer than the typical reaction video and I watched the whole thing right to the end, not because it was ptx but because unlike many others you know what you are talking about, you are one of the few music reactors on this site I've found who actually KNOW music and I genuinely listen to every single comment you have to say. So go ahead and react to someone else, you've got my watches.
That's incredibly sweet of you! Thank you! I do have some new content in the works, as well as some updates soon. Thank you for the sub, and welcome to the channel :)
DJ Switch PDX and youre right about Mitch's yodel or flip of whatever you wanna call it - classic Dolores and he doesn't normally sing that way so it was intentional. I saw a short clip of him saying this was his favorite song ever and he was so proud how their arrangement came out
Speaking of playing saxophone....Kevin Olusola also plays alto saxophone. Can you please react to him playing at Carnegie Hall? His saxophone playing is phenomenal and his breath control. Please and thank you 😊
Avi Kaplan’s music after he left PTX is pretty amazing and different than Pentatonix. Home Free is another acapella group with a totally different sound. Acoustic music is always a favorite for me as well as folk style.
Yes!! I love your reactions and I LOVE the theory and music “nerdom”. Super refreshing!! Us Pentaholics absolutely adore all PTX stuff, but we also love other amazing music. Are you at all familiar with Postmodern Jukebox? That’s a cool genre of music, and a great one to check out is Postmodern Jukebox’s cover of Creep, featuring Haley Reinhart. It’s a great listen and TONS of places to analyze because her voice has so many different pieces to it, not to mention their rendition of the piece.
Oh! And I saw Beth Roars do a react/critique of Haley and PMJ doing Creep, and she did a great job of dissecting some of Haley's performance choices. Highly recommend the Beth Roars channel if you're not familiar! :)
I don't want to ruin anything for you, but they do apply a little timing correction on their studio work. That's not to say their performances aren't almost as perfect, but I don't think even PTX can nail those cut points without a little augmentation.
I figured as much, but the fact they can get that close at all without even being in the room during the pandemic still speaks to their talent level. I know they're human, but they're still good at what they do IMHO :)
Just a heads up regarding DJing... Mitch has a side project called DJ Messer which he is doing at the moment (there's only one vid so far that I know of ) he is also putting out a solo album in the not too distant future (takes a little longer with the current situation of course) The DJ side he doesn't sing of course...the new album he will !
I read about that! His format as a DJ is interesting. I'm what they call "Open Format," or a jack-of-all-trades type of DJ. I have to know a little bit of everything, but I fell in love with so many different styles of music when I was a kid that the open format thing kinda works for me. I'm interested to see what he does with his DJ project.
@@DJSwitchPDX This is a little long, but you'll no doubt get the gist. It was a one off set - just to test the waters I believe, but Mitch is very passionate about EDM and I think he would like to pursue this as a side gig outside of PTX. ruclips.net/video/USajg7xMDJg/видео.html
You should check out dimash all his stuff is crazy but his version of diva dance from fifth element that was completely synthed for the alien but he just dose it like it’s not even hard

Thank you for watching, and thank you for the suggestions! Sound of Silence is another old favorite of mine. :)
I really enjoyed all of the information that you gave to us, it helps me to appreciate what they do even more
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!
So true. So refreshing to find an educated reactor.
Thank you for the sub! I'm glad you liked it!
We are still here because the way you break it down is super insightful and educated... it's like listening to their songs for the first time
Thank you! I've got more coming! Stay tuned! 😁
OMG, I loved your reaction when you realized what song it was @ 3:34. Great reaction, great analysis. Will definitely look at some of your other stuff.
Haha! Thank you!
I really do love that song, and PTX really did it justice (like they always do). I'm so glad you liked it!
Sharing your technical expertise is awesome... very cool to hear the musical background, but then combined with the applied production experience provides great insight into the the sheer redonkulous talent involved in these endeavors.. :D
Thank you for watching! I'm glad you liked it!
I think she even said "You've gotta be kidding me", too...
An excellent surprise!
Man, you always make me listen that much harder & I've already been listening so microscopically❤ Yaaaaassssssss hunty, anything that makes me study music even closer is dear to me. You help me hone my craft, all while enjoying my passion💛
I'm learning so much and really appreciate how you explain things. It all makes perfect sense and adds to the experience.
You and Jacob Restito are reactors who get into the technical aspect of things in a very helpful way. Jacob has interviewed the guys behind the video's. The arranger, the product engineer etc. Give him a look if you would. Thanks for your deep technical talent to share insights with us
Loved your reactions. I enjoy hearing your take on Pentaton music. So good.
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked it!
That Finale harmony though ... :*
That is amazing! When you talk about their breathe not the same could, it be they are all in different places and still come together.
I love how they build the final chord add the 6th to it then resolve back to prime unison
Great reaction/analysis
Thank you for watching! I'm glad you liked it!
This song makes me so emotional. The first time I heard it I immediately had the thought that they really made this for us, the pentaholics, as sort of an appreciation. I'm a lyrical person so the words for me gave of a message that this is what they think about their fans.
Love your analysis, it's really refreshing!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Listening to you is almost like a master class in music production. Totally appreciate it. Well done.
The syncopation is still pretty amazing considering they all recorded separately in their own homes. I'mma subscribe to see what other content you got.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!
Greetings from Dominican Republic (an island in the Caribbean Sea)
I stumbled across your channel as I was looking for reactions on Pentatonix. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I learned by watching your comments. I subscribed and I will definitely check some of your non-Pentatonix reaction videos.
Keep up the good work
A pleasure to have the DR represented here! Thank you for the sub and welcome to the channel!
I love your technical analysis! I would watch your videos for hours. You definitely have an oratory talent. Many thanks from Romania! ❤️
Thanks! Welcome to the channel!

I had to get just to you're technical reactions, but I like it. Because I see you're enthusiasm and love for the music. I'm looking forward to more of you're reactions
I like your technical comments of PTX...just in general your knowledge is inspiring...
Thanks for your reaction. I love this song cause it's so relaxing. I really appreciate your commentary about the song. Some of the stuff you mentioned I had noticed but you brought attention to a couple of things I didn't catch. Thanks again.
Thank you for watching!
Thank you for your informative reaction! I enjoy your program very much.
Thanks so much for the reaction ! I just wish their tracks went on for longer - can never have enough of PTX 😊
I'd be making 3 hour react videos directed by Peter Jackson and saving the "Uncut" versions for the Blu-Ray release hahaha
@@DJSwitchPDX True that !
I'm glad you enjoyed them! Thank you for watching!
song suggestions:

A History of The Beatles
Girls like you

Hey Ya!
......and so many many more ;)
I love their video concepts! A truly talented group and it would be so fun to take a look at some of their stuff!
Loved listening to your descriptions and take on the music as well as a bit about your history. So much fun! I'll have to check you out on twitch!
What's not to love about all this positivity and enthusiasm? haha
I think I really discovered a capella in late 2000/early 2001 via Napster.
DJ Switch PDX Oh yes you absolutely should share some stuff, that would be dope!
Hmm ... Maybe I need a sub series where I can dissect old acapella recordings haha
I appreciate your perspective and energy so much 😊
Thank you! I really love music and I'm just kicking myself that I didn't figure out these react videos sooner! ♥️
I love a lot of different ptx reactors, you I love for the technical knowledge and appreciation that you share. Subscribed. Thanks
oh, and also the smile on your face when you recognised the song at the start LOL
@@TheAmocca Thank you! I'm so glad you like these! Welcome to the channel! 😁
Your videos are rad. You give REAL, succinct knowlege in your reviews and reactions. Oh, and LOVE the shirt too man. Let's Go Ducks!
QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK!!!!
I absolutely adore The Cranberries, and Dolores' death saddens me to this day. To see your reaction when you recognized the song was priceless, and made me subscribe. From one Saxophone player to another, thank you!
Thank you! Welcome to the channel, brother sax man!
I like that you backed up after you talked about the different parts.
Came for Pentatonix When a party is over reaction. Came back for this. going to watch Weird Al react next. I like your style.
Let also talk about that their not in studio together (I think) due to covid-19 witch makes what their doing even more impressive.
So happy to have found you! You’re so professional and impressive in your analysis, excellent reviews. I’m subscribing. 👍😊
So continue with this passion and i am very interested in the new stuff which hopefully is coming in the future :)
Last one thing: Check out their cover of Imagine. The mentioned silence, which produces the drama, is also used there.
Thank you for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed my videos! :)
Run to You is an amazing original song! Would love to hear an assessment of one of their own! ❤️
Scott and Mitch have their own album called Superfruit. You should listen to their cover of The Promise.
But it was through being a fan of Lindsey that I discovered Peter years ago, so these are all no brainiers for me.
You’re smile once the song started!! Subbed just for that grin and will check out your other stuff!!
I love how technical you are, if you want to see The yodeling listening Gold.
I have just subscribed. I will watch your other videos, just please don't stop with PTX
Thank you so much! Don't worry, I'm not going to stop doing PTX vids any time soon :)
They filmed, choreographed and produced everything themselves separately in their individual homes during quarantine then sent everything to their editor for final production! That's why the individual boxes or frames if you will....
Here's the link of an interview they did explaining the details!

I gotta start writing these down!
Thank you for the suggestions!
DJ Switch PDX OMG. Talk about production, Kevin’s version of Down is something you have to check out. He’s ridiculous.
I'm digging your Mighty Ducks shirt. Grew up in the same era as you. Great reaction as always. ❤
So ... I was OBSESSED with those movies, and when I was playing peewee hockey as a kid, my local house hockey league named their teams after NHL teams, and my team was called "The Mighty Ducks."
We won the Oregon State championship in '97, and that film franchise has meant the world to me ever since.
@@DJSwitchPDX That's awesome! I live in a tropical country and most of the people here probably don't even know what hockey is. 😁 But my cousins and I grew up watching and loving it. Ah the nostalgia.....
I totally get your geek out, I sang this song over and over and over when it came out in '95, and I was only 9-10 that year lol
Such a modern classic! Thank you so much for watching!
Why the thumbs down? This is such a great reaction
Aww thanks! Can't please everyone, but if I can please ANYONE, I'll call it a win. 🙂

That was so educational. Thank you so much for this. Mitch said he fought for the band to do this. If you have twitter go to Mitch Grass is page and he talks about this song.
I'm not a big fan of Twitter, but I have an account, so I will go check him out!
Thank you so much for watching! I'm glad you liked it :)
DJ Switch PDX that sounds like a blast! Fingers crossed that the world is back to a place where you can get your nerd on next year :)
Right?? Here's hoping ...
I love to watch a reactor that can bring something new to the table with what you say
Could you please also do pentatonix - home?
I'm glad you liked it!
I've had a few other people ask me about that song. I definitely need to start writing some of these down!
They are amaizing!!!
I recommend to react to"Run to you".
That song is from back then when Avi was still in the gang.
The song is just... 👌
I'll check it out! Thank you!
Great reaction!
You should really react to their "evolution of music". Its a live recording and you could really hear how tight they are. Even though its one of their earlier medley videos. Enjoy becoming part of the pentaholics :-)
Thank you for watching!
I've been a fan of their work for some time, but the term "pentaholics" is new to me. I gotta admit ... I don't hate it ;-)
@@DJSwitchPDX yes!
3:37 I made the same face when I realised whose song this is too.
ALSO, I got goosebumps just watching your reaction to figuring out which song it was! That was fantastic!
* In Obi-Wan voice * Now there's two group names I haven't heard in a long, long time ...
@@DJSwitchPDX LOL right? Dissonant harmonies up the wazoo
I tried to explain Mannheim Steamroller to my 19 year old nephew recently.
It ... did not go well.
@@DJSwitchPDX oh I love them too - my Christmas playlists are never complete without their version of Deck the Halls
Them and TSO, right?
Chills!!
I LOVED your face when you realized it was The Cranberries - mine was the same 😂. Six Pence was a good guess- right decade at least
Thank you so much!! I'm really glad you liked it!
DJ Switch PDX and youre right about Mitch's yodel or flip of whatever you wanna call it - classic Dolores and he doesn't normally sing that way so it was intentional. I saw a short clip of him saying this was his favorite song ever and he was so proud how their arrangement came out
I'd love to see the interview! Link me if you get the chance?
DJ Switch PDX hopefully this link works facebook.com/Pentatonix/videos/564861844181884/?
I upvoted this for the Herb Albert !!
..
Apparently, that "yodeling" is common in Irish music.
Man you the boss, i think the same as soon as i heard the yodoling thing, i said did they made a cranberries's mix ?
Scott Bradley is a genius! Check out my Scary Pockets - Imagine video. You might like it :)

Oh! And I saw Beth Roars do a react/critique of Haley and PMJ doing Creep, and she did a great job of dissecting some of Haley's performance choices. Highly recommend the Beth Roars channel if you're not familiar! :)
I'm enjoying your detailed reaction. Please react to PTX "Break My Heart" cover. Thank you
watch Silent Night and Mary Did you know to hear some reverb
You should react to Cheerleader by Pentatonix!
Nice catch!
@@DJSwitchPDX here's an article written by someone who does mixing and production for PTX.

(and his solo project, obviously)
@@DJSwitchPDX This is a little long, but you'll no doubt get the gist. It was a one off set - just to test the waters I believe, but Mitch is very passionate about EDM and I think he would like to pursue this as a side gig outside of PTX. ruclips.net/video/USajg7xMDJg/видео.html
Delores O'Riordan would love this.

Not sure how many PTX ( yes call them PTX that way you will not make the mistake of calling THE Pentatonix), LOL. But not sure how many you have done, as of right ow you have 317 subscribers, I am going to share this reaction to two FB PTX Groups.
