When I was in middle school, my grade was forced to sell cookie dough because my school was that cheap. I often wondered if it was because the school was too broke to pay for any much needed maintenance. Apparently not because students in my grade were the only ones doing this, not the other 2 grades. I then heard we weren't allowed to keep the money or even receive a commission from it. So I thought to myself "the hell with this" Long story short, the school's idea of selling dough didn't work because only a few kids sold some while the majority didn't because they weren't decent salesman and others, like myself, thought it was dumb since the beginning and made no effort, especially since there was no monetary gain to be had.
Greetings from South Africa. My boarding school sent me home with raffle tickets for a Camping Safari in the Kruger game reserve. Try selling that to you, black aunts and uncles.
15:59 ya there’s cars that turn into boats and back into cars. They’re called Amphicars (amphibious cars) or water cars. - they don’t go very fast on the water but it’s a cute idea and funny to see em on water There’s also a new brand of boats that just look like fancy sports cars but they’re just modified boats.
No allowance for me, the closest thing I got to an allowance was like $10 for getting straight As on a report card in middle school. My middle school would sell chocolate bars, the prizes were decent, heck the biggest prize was you get to go in those glass boxes that blow bills all around you and you grab as many you can within the time limit. And the only thing I know about Scarface is "Say hello to my little friend!"
God why are the school fundraiser prizes always so bad?
Fr I was disappointed
bottom line's lower
Exactly like those thousands of dollars are worth those crappy plastic prizes
That’s why I was so lazy with school fundraisers. I was like “them lame ass prizes ain’t worth the amount of work I gotta put in to this 🙄”

Yes, I used to get an allowance sometimes. It was always no more than $20. I tried selling candy a few times but wasn't really that successful at it.
