@@emjay2045 look at the position of the Vandoren logo, it's on the bottom. Above the ligature, BD logo. I play the BD5D, awesome mouthpiece and it's the only one that looks like that. Vandoren's D concept mouthpieces are the ones with the Vandoren logo on the bottom and model number on the side. In the case of BD5D, the BD logo is on the top. Manasse used to play this too before the B40D
Vandoren BD5 HD, but he's used MOBA, B40, BD5, and a million other mouthpieces. #1 way to improve your sound is better usage of your air, increasing your air capacity and using more volume of air without forcing the sound
I want to play my c clarinet more often but the high notes (above c) are not in tune using the regular Bb clarinet fingerings so not sure what to do or how to find those fingerings. Do you use regular fingerings on notes above high Csharp or D?
I don't have a C clarinet but based on playing other types of clarinets the same fingerings should work. My guess is that the tuning tendencies are different from your Bb. Maybe try adding the F# fork for E and F it they're flat, otherwise remove the Eb vent. It could also be a low quality instrument but I couldn't judge. That's just my two cents anyway.
This instrument needs more love!
Amazing playing!
He works very sparingly with his fingers. Good technique.
GREAT SOUND, lots of light and bright but não nothing of shrillness.
So wonderful!
Superb as always!! 😍🎶👍👍

Yeah he's using the BD5 HD
@@thelookingcatyou sure. The VD website had him on the BD4 , B40, B40 Lyre … He’s all about the 4’s apparently
@@emjay2045 Sorry, he's on the BD5D. I misprinted. It's the only D series BD mouthpiece.
@@thelookingcat from where did you get this info ?

Que genial
I have a c clarinet and would like to improve the sound. Would you mind telling me what mouthpiece you are using?

@@thelookingcatnot in this video. 2 years ago the VD HD mouthpieces didn’t exist. The white stamps suggest a German type VD mouthpiece
Bravo
Is it originally written for the clarinet?
No, oboe
