Usher seems like a chill dude. Regardless of how anyone feels about his latest music efforts, it can't be denied that he's one of the most talented performers of his generation, has been able to remain relevant for over 20 years and he's only 35 (he doesn't even look it). Looking at some of his younger counterparts who have come after him, it's quite hard to gauge who will be able to achieve that sort of longevity. I just did a quick search on his catalog and this man has quite the repertoire of hits! Even songs that weren't released as singles have become mini-classics in their own right (e.g. 'Bad Girl' and 'Can U Handle It' from 'Confessions'). Too bad his standing in the industry is not as strong as it once (songs charting low, ticket sales suffering etc) was because it seems like this upcoming tour is going to be a blast.
Much respect Chizoma. Usher is an artist. He sings, he dances, he's a businessman even. I remember watching him blow up in 1997 and he's been at the top ever since. He has a career based on albums not just singles which is something these new artists don't do. Kids today are more concerned about RUclips views than making good records. But it's whatever.
D. Foxx So is Climax and any newer Usher track lol. It's like nigga don't care anymore and its kinda sad because the quality of his music hasn't dropped, just the popularity.
Just cuz he's not charting here dnt mean he's not overseas. Usher will be fine and as you already mentioned has such a long catalog of classics that he'll be able to tour for yrs to come.
sanim03 Climax had a video and he's performed it on SNL and the today show....Usher, Lil Jon and Luda went nowhere to promote Lovers and Friends, because it wasn't even a single. Climax was a single. And it's not really Usher. It's Usher's label and management's fault, RCA. Chris Brown is under the same label and that's why Chris' previous album Fortune had little to no promotion, which is why it sold less than Usher's last album.
USHERS MY FAVORITE ARTIST PERIOD! I STILL ROCK WITH THE SONGS HE DROPPED IN THE 90s LIKE IT WAS RELEASED YESTERDAY! UNBELIEVABLE TALENT/ARTIST AND HIS LONGEVITY IS SOMETHING THAT TRULY NEEDS TO BE APPLAUDED. USHER = THE KING OF RNB - SALUTE
i love that he explained his lowest moment and Puffy took him under his wing... I liked that first Usher album... now he in his 8th album., hollywood walk of fame star, a movie is out.. he's always succeeding.
I'm a huge Usher fan I been a fan since hearing "call me a mack", but in 1994 I brought Usher first CD and I became a true fan. I have most of all of Usher CDs.
Usher is a really good performer. Specially live. He sings and dances very well live. I've seen Chris Brown live also. He sings over the songs that is blasting through the speakers not live
Usher control the interview and I like how he knew what he wanted at a young age and how important it is to touch all audience and the generation to come and staying r relevant in the R&B game.
How are people comparing Chris Brown to Usher?? Usher is much better. Chris Brown is so mainstream. Listen to Usher's old singles. They're wayy realer than any Chris Brown singles.
Him thanking Eminem just shows the level Em is is at and the influence he has on big artist. I still feel that Eminem is underrated for his craft.. He is the best MC of all time, no one in his league..
anyone saying he underrated is stupid, the man has been one of the bestselling artist in history for a long time and appreciated by both youth and older generations, he's influenced millions of people so no wonder, he not underrated, some people just don't appreciate his craft because he white, but still anyone who thinks that is racist ass shit smh
I still remember that song: "Jus' call me a mack Coz I got it like dat You gotta play by the ruuuules Jus' call me a mack" Haha! Still remember the video too...
LOL Sway Intro was some great stuff and I agree, damn can't believe it has been 20 Years but I remember the "Call Me A Mack" "Think Of You" years when he was like 15-16 years old. Remember seeing that video on BET Video Soul back in the day...DAMN I FEEL OLD HAHAHA But Respect To Usher!
Hi Sways, men pliz deploy another camera in the studio, it sucks when the camera man rotates the only camera left to right for and back in order to focus of the person talking. But that said, thanks for this great interview with an RnB heavyweight. Usherrrrrrrrrr Raymond
Usher: Can i take you everywhere on tour with me😂 That was the BEST intro in this lifetime 👏👌Sway. Usher is hilarious i will jump through hoops to make it happeni i didnt say brooms 🤣🤣😂
now i have a total different question where are the interviews of the people you see in the intro ?snoop, cedric, kardinall,dj drama etc etc ? i've wondering that for a long time
I love Usher and Eminem and all that but... I just seen a recipe for a CORNBREAD MILKSHAKE and that right there required all caps. I know that some seniors would take cornbread and a cup of warm milk and create a meal with that but this recipe consist of a blender, ice cream and cornbread. Im going to try it.
This man has had hits and I think that Confessions album was his best work of his career. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017
hahaha... when Sway says "talk about it" referencing LeBron... I couldn't help but think of the Kid Ink song... "lets talk about it!, (bout it), talk about it! (bout it)" hahaha.... "like" if you were thinkin' the same shit.
They're professional R&B singers, not professional dancers. Whoever is the better song writer/singer is the winner. Dancing cool and all, but I don't care how the person whose song I'm listening to dances.
Usher really held down R&B for a longtime. "My Way" is my favorite album then "Confessions"
8701 !!!
Those 3 Were classics.
100%
Confessions then my way then 8701
8701 is my all time fav then confessions
I still listen to Usher's album Confessions. Confessions is his best album in my opinion.

Lovers and Friends is "the hit that never happened" in the words of Usher. Everyone loves that song and it didn't have promo or a video
Much respect Chizoma. Usher is an artist. He sings, he dances, he's a businessman even. I remember watching him blow up in 1997 and he's been at the top ever since. Sway wants him to consider it too lol. You see how he told the dj to send usher that intro with the mix he asked for. Smart move sway lol

@@lateshiachilds3640 I remember my dad brought that album called usher so yea he was on rotation back in the day
Sway in a league of his own!
Usher seems more comfortable with Sway than the members of the Breakfast Club. Great interview. I like seeing this side of Usher.
Can you blame him?
Usher seems a lot more personable and less guarded than he has in a long time.great interview
giving props to Bone Thugs, that's what's up. 💯
That's my group
I'm a huge Usher fan I been a fan since hearing "call me a mack", but in 1994 I brought Usher first CD and I became a true fan. I have most of all of Usher CDs.

I cant wait to see Usher in concert and meet him
Usher control the interview and I like how he knew what he wanted at a young age and how important it is to touch all audience and the generation to come and staying r relevant in the R&B game.
You gotta be able to handle the omg lol the song Kisser does says it all. I feel you Usher 👍✊✊👈
How are people comparing Chris Brown to Usher?? Usher is much better. Chris Brown is so mainstream. Listen to Usher's old singles. They're wayy realer than any Chris Brown singles.
detroitMC313 they are talking about dancing
detroitMC313 In terms of career Usher is better. In terms of dancing Chris Brown is better
I truly agree
@@ivanivez7456 in terms of career cb is better and wayyyyy more consistent and had wayyy more hits and is a better performer
@@desmondred6460 I agree. Currently right now Chris surpassed Usher

Nice to see him at end answer Chris Brown dancing challenge. Idc who wins. I'm just glad it's happening.
Stop wearing sunglasses indoors people, it's called SUNglasses for a reason.
I agree...it is annoying.
Some people just have hella sensitive eyes ..
Lol

So irrelevant and pre-school level of communication!!
Really doesn't bother me when ppl do that. I'm more interested in what they're saying.
Live interview from a legend U R
Usher is STILL the hubby! ♡♡
Sway is the homie
He said that he was supposed to be the one to sing " Can we talk for a minute" TEVIN Campbell.
simple things on confessions is a classic
HEY, Great context here. Mother does indeed share the same name.... *Mari, as does Grandmother 6:11 official product of environment and out of love.
I cant with Usher. He's funny
There goes my baby
now i have a total different question where are the interviews of the people you see in the intro ?snoop, cedric, kardinall,dj drama etc etc ?
i've wondering that for a long time

Anyone know the song at 28:44?
Edit: Found it, It's called I Don't Mind by Usher
Love this man!
Usher's more like the Allen Iverson of R&B
Nah my dude actually won awards like Grammy, AMA, Billboards
I agree
Zaya Watson
So what? Iverson has also plenty of awards...multiple mvp's, multiple scoring champions...
But a grammy is supposed to be the highest honor in music
Zaya Watson no way in the world you really believe that

usher my nigga but i think chris will bust his ass in a dance off.lol
