The plane involved in this accident was retired recently in late of 2022, According to people who have went to the aircraft there are still dents in the cockpit and nearby areas from the fight.
Well I mean, yes they are incredible pilots, but they didn’t really save anyone but themselves as it was a cargo flight, but if it was a passenger flight I would definitely say they were heroes

the animation may not seems that good but the way they told the story in the full documentary was a masterpiece, comparing to latest seasons. really wish they would tell them the way they were again in future seasons.

But the plane was repaired and returned to service, eventually receiving the glass cockpit retrofit, and is still in service with FedEx until it is retired, alongside the rest of the MD-10 fleet by the end of 2023. I can only hope that this plane with end up in a museum, but in its livery during the attempted hijacking.
