Corey Parkers analysis here Is a metaphor for why the broncos are shite. Saying things like “For the right price” and “getting good value” constantly about signing and retaining players breeds resentment and disloyalty towards players and the team at the same time. You can’t expect fringe first graders to be happy about being at the broncos for lesser money anymore. You have to either play them or pay them, you can’t expect them to kick back in Qld cup for entire contracts and have them resign for less money because they haven’t “developed “ it’s a totally dick move
Yeah the Broncos are long past being able to say sign for less because we are a top 4 team shooting for premierships. BUT they do have the biggest pull for 3rd party deals which essentially is another form of salary...
@@JakeHolzheimer if that was still the case then why would they want to nickel and dime every single contract. Plus if blokes like mam and Walsh play up then 3 rd parties are gonna be loath to sign up
@@healthymindhealthybody9692 I think it’s more a developmental issue more than anything else. The broncos were the reason why reserve grade was canned by investment in the top squad mentality and they have lost their ability to scout and produce new talent
Nah they just cut a deal with him. Looks like 6 week suspension. The problem is if I did this I would go to jail more than likely. It will be interesting to see what the court has to say
@@deanmatters5739 I'd be in gaol with you mate. The problem's Mam's got is he's high profile and if he's charged with unlicensed driving, causing GBH (broken hip on a 4 year old) and driving under the influence of an illegal substance he's basically got no defence as far as I'm aware so he'll be bloody lucky to get no gaol time - those offences carry a maximum penalty of 14 years. All these "expert" commentators need to shut up about what the NRL and Broncos might do until the court case is over.
You can talk about who should stay or go, but without an attitude adjustment, same shit, different year. People have crapped on about injuries or origin period, but what they dished up this year was all attitude, or lack there for of
Corey is so smart he should be on the Broncos board, how he says keep players only for the right price is so insightful. Mate put this guy in the director’s chair, HANGON, PM this mofo let’s get him in charge of the country!
Players should be signing for less, set aside an amount in the Salary Cap say 500k & have performance based end of season bonuses given to the best performing players, time & time again we're seeing players are overpaid & underperforming.
Broncos move on with another 6 Keep all the middle and let the centres and wings make a choice to stay or go . Defence starts in the middle outwards, so Defence wins games . If the centres and wings can't make it , keep bringing in qld cilup wingers and centres. It's not that hard , Corey luv ya mate but keep it simple
They rewarded Walsh's bad behaviour with a $5M contract. Just imagine the young talent they could have bought out of Brisbane colleges, that actually want to play footy.
Hey Corey given how many years you played for broncos and how little premiership success they had in your tenure, I think you have little to no clout to discuss retention recruiting and value of players. Given the lack of success particularly at the end of your tenure, you were clearly over valued and ate into the Broncos ability to buy new real talent. Sorry but your desire to be a one club player hurt the Broncos given you were soft in your latter years and provided no go forward or platform for the halves. Stop dreaming you are smart enough to know what the Broncos need to do bro, just let it go!
Lol in Corey's later years he averaged 40 tackles a game and 100 running metres. Broncs struggled when he retired expecting jai arrow to step in but he couldn't fill Corey's shoes, eventually leaving for the titans. Corey was a massive contributor and captain of the Broncs and was integral to their 2015 run to the gf
Walsh, Xavier and Mozer are a must.
And Staggs. If we lose Cobbo to the cows, there’s potential for signing Laybut who is a lot closer to being a Farnworth replacement than Cobbo is 🤷♂️
Mozer? Sorry, he’s got a way to go.
@@honestpat7789im ok with cobbo going. He’s a bit heavy and has slowed down a bit. Seems like he’s got done issues as well.
