      Someone asked me that question and I thought it was such an excellent question. I was nervous about answering it because it occurred to me that I'm responsible for representing Jesus well if I'm going to develop a business publicly. No pressure - lol. But, thank you. I'm doing my best. :)

    Can you make a video please, on how to create collections and what that exactly means. Also how to put them together in a look book and web site to present yourself properly to companies. Thank you so much. Have a wonderful day!!

      Yes! I can talk about collections. I can cover some of that stuff, but not go into all of it because that would be a crazy long video. But I can cover some of that for sure! I also send out art prompts in my emails if you want to be on that. If you find my other video "How to get starts with art licensing" I have a brand book and a list of companies you can download too.

    Hello! I just wanted to say thank you so much for providing this information. You have been so helpful! I wanted to ask you: How many pieces does someone in your field make a month when both working with a client and when trying to find some? Thank you so much!

    • @juliemaida.creative
      @juliemaida.creative  5 месяцев назад

      Hi @tideman5423 - I am unclear about your question. How many pieces of art do I make in a month? Money? Pitches? Can you clarify for me what you're asking? Thanks!

    Hi Juli, what a great video this is! Thank you :-) he would mention Social Media. If we do not have a large Social Media following do you think that will make it difficult to get accounts? Thank you again for your help :-)

    • @juliemaida.creative
      @juliemaida.creative  5 месяцев назад

      Hi! You are welcome! I think it depends on the company. Some won't even consider you unless you have a huge following (agents and big brands often), but plenty also don't care. I don't have a huge following on IG or anywhere, really, and it affects me some, but doesn't stop me.

    Do you copyright each piece? Any insight on trademarking?

    • @juliemaida.creative
      @juliemaida.creative  5 месяцев назад

      Personally, I don't because it gets expensive to do that. I would probably copyright an entire collection as one piece, but not each one individually. In the US, you own your copyrights automatically. You can register them too, but I think it costs like $50-$75 per piece of art. As far as trademarks, I would be more likely to TM my name, I think. But I am not an expert of trademarks.

    Thank you for taking time to share these with us beginners. How would you advice to start learning the DPI’s measurements? I am a Christian creator too. God bless! I have been thinking of getting that book, it is in my save for later cart..

    • @juliemaida.creative
      @juliemaida.creative  Год назад +2

      @jokesalamidesigns6435 YW!! I'm not sure about how to answer your DPI question, though.
      DPI is resolution (dots per inch) and I'm referring to how high to scan your art in this video. Does that help??
      The GAG book? It's so worth it!

      @@juliemaida.creative ok, I will read more about the DPI.

    Did you register for an LLC? And sellers permit?

    • @juliemaida.creative
      @juliemaida.creative  11 месяцев назад +1

      I already had an LLC because I also have a design agency. But I would do that just if you have a business bc it protects you. But I don't know what a sellers permit is...I don't think we have that in the US ??

    Do you need to get a business license for selling your artworks for tax purposes?

    • @juliemaida.creative
      @juliemaida.creative  10 месяцев назад

      @bellaeusebio849
      Not in the U.S. You can be a sole proprietor. But personally, I got an LLC. Also, each state in the U.S. has diff laws about how to set up businesses. I'm not sure about outside of the U.S. though.
