How could someone say he was not powerful. He was very strong, he saved everyone alone and none of them died because he was able to stop Akaza to kill Kamado. Akaza failed because he was not able to complete his duty but Rengoku won because he saved everyone and completed his duty as Hashira. ❤❤

Hes pretty much the only reason I started watching anime, going to theater just as to make sure my sister was okay, I genuinely enjoyed the movie and having not seen any of demon slayer at the time with the movie being my intro, watching him still gave me and still does get me hyped.
Dude became an anime legend in only one movie / 7 episodes. Only other legend with so few episodes I can think of is Kamina from Gurren Lagann who lasted 8. They both were short lived and they were what kept the main character going to the ending of the show. Bruh died, got back up without vital signals on the main ship, avenged himself, gave a speech to Simon and passed with a smile on his face. Only thing Rengoku didn't do was avenge himself.
I just start crying whenever I see Rengoku at this point... I still wonder what would happen in this fight if his dad who is the former flame hashira had taught him Flame Breathing. But no, his dad just ignored him. Yet, Rengoku strived for improvement and has became the Flame Hashira without any mentor. Truly an inspiring person... I’m a 90s baby and always loved anime but I’m not a fan of newer anime’s. I gave demon slayer a try bcus of my 9 year old daughter who was 7 at the the time this movie came out. She absolutely loves demon slayer. When I saw this moment where Rengoku turned up at the brink of defeat I was in complete shock. At this moment is when I became a fan of this franchise. Thank you Rengoku for making me a fan of this wonderful anime ❤️🙏
I just realized that since Akaza's only motivation is to get stronger due to sheer hardwork it must've mean he sees Rengoku as a fellow respectable fighter. He saw the grit, honesty, and hardwork through Rengoku's fighting style and attitude. I don't think Akaza ever gives this amount of respect to anyone, including Muzan.
He really was awesome ...he fight with akaza alone and even managed to nearly kill him..while it take muichiro genya sanemi giyome to fight kokushibo ..just imagine if he is alive till kokushibo fight..I wanted to see more of him

in the italian version "rengoku" means "purgatorio" or "purgatory" in english. the first time i watched this part was in italian and the voice actor screams "purgatorio" so loud that seems all of rengoku's anger goes in to that move. it gave me big chills
I hate that he died but it was a necessary death for character development…it’s always the best of us that are taken away. But his death inspired tanjiro to get stronger and through that has inspired so many others to not only get stronger but to strengthen their bonds to each other to give everyone something to fight for, true unity.
Even Akaza amazed by this kind of presence. From the seemingly immortal demon, Rengoku is so so so much younger yet he has a great potential to unlock unimaginable fighting power. A rival that Akaza yearn for. Also, kudos for the voice actor: satoshi hino. It's kind of refreshing to hear him as a very fierce yet warm and loved character. (I'm used to his childish and cheerful yet psycotic of kamui's voice in gintama 😂😅)
Rengoku kyojuro is my only and forever inspiration. And he the only hashira who's have no partners with him. He is alone. And his last faith was in tanjiro kamado. ❤❤❤

If you didn't know these breathing effects coming off the swords are actually fake, just visuals you cant even see them. It's just there so it can look cooler, the creator of Kimetsu no Yaiba confirmed it and it kinda make me angry 😠
It's literally baseless because as you can see that rengoku's fire barrier clashing with the air strikes of akaza in fourth from of flame breathing ( Blooming flame undulation ) and in the case of fourth form ( flame tiger ) it's just impossible to believe that they are only visual effect ...... basically writer statements are contradictory.
its just a visual aid and its best not to think to much about it. Really it doesn't matter too much when you're watching the action whether or not its real or not!

Why does this man have to be sacrificed for the plot why after his death I really didn’t enjoy the anime but just watched it not trying to be rude to my friends who where the real fans.
