If both teams were youth national teams, I would have FIFA investigate both sides for match fixing and have all of them banned from football for life. Having said that, maybe kicking rocks may be an option instead for the boys but you know what? I think they might struggle with that as well. This was a very difficult match to watch, with skill issues abound. Part of a very rough Saturday for the Moore League, which undid everything St. Anthony did the day prior. I believe the kids have to reassess whether a career playing soccer is viable for them. Reality hurts. It's tough. They'll have to come to terms with it sooner or later.
Been rooting for Lakewood the entire playoffs, but if there was somehow goal technology in this game, I don't think that goal would've counted still. Either way, great run for the Lake Wood boys they have no reason to keep their heads down they played a hell of a regular season and a great playoff run, but sometimes the ball just doesn't roll your way. Congratulations to Etiwanda on a CIF Title.
