I just came back from Changsha, even it's only considered 2nd tier city among others, its infrastructure still beats DC where I live in the US. The cousines, metro, parks, malls, and most important public safety. It's not a joke you better have get your will ready before you take a walk in some of DC metro areas at evening... One taxi driver in Baltimore, just north of DC, told me a few years ago her coworker got robbed and killed by a thug that pretended to be a customer. It’s an extremely dangerous job to be a taxi or Uber driver around the DC/Baltimore area! These thugs wouldn’t think twice about killing you if they think they could make some money out of it! I met a fisherman at a river last November who told me a US general got robbed after he got out of his car! The fisherman told me he is an Army veteran who was stationed in Afghanistan for 8 years before he retired from the military, but he did went back to Afghanistan to work as a defense contractor for a private company for a few years after that. I do believe his story because he did show me his pictures in uniform in Afghanistan. If not even a US general is safe, imagine the rest of us!

They have a functioning economy, free internet, and they actually have enough young people to make it through the next 20 years. And in America you can do things like drink the tap water, browse RUclips, express your opinions about the government.. all of these things you still can’t even do in China. China does have way better train service though

Chinese civilization has long been underrated. Is there any city in Europe with walls as massive as those in China? European walls could be breached by cannons, but Chinese walls were far more robust. This is why gunpowder technology didn't advance as much there.
