Damn. This is fantastic. Edit: Ben, I'm glad I stumbled across your Music Theory series. It led to me discovering your band. You are all amazing! Hoping you'll tour the West Coast sometime.
The musicianship and showmanship is absolutely pristine. You are all very talented and I hope wonderful things happen in your lives on and off the stage.
Yeah. It's fact. No doubts, you all rock the casbah. Your combined dynamics melt my face. I feel as though the percussion is missing something I can't quite put my finger on?.?.. or in?.?. hmm... Eureka!!! I know, how about a green Tyrannosaurus Rex... lol But really, you guys are awesome and great to see things are well for you. Though I'm in Cali now, I always looked forward to your sojourns to Eugene Oregon. Peace and blessings to you all!
There aren't really metal guitars and not-metal guitars. Any good guitar will have a good clean tone. Anyway, the guitar Ben playing is a Steve Vai signature model from Ibanez, and Steve plays every genre under the sun. Started his career as Frank Zappa's "stunt guitarist."
True. But very few "non-metal" guys use these guitars. Of course, Ben, like Vai, is such a versatile and capable artist that he could play any style with any gear.
i would marry Jessica Kion on the basis (eh?!) of her bass playing alone. Then I heard this and it was like 'oh wow her voice is beautiful too.' ridiculous. every single member of this band are bad motherpuppies, but I particularly dig adorable bass players who are really talented and have killer tone.
I absolutely love Ben as a composer, but man, I hope he's abandoned that piece of shit shredder Ibanez by now, and its gurgles. It's not cute, nor clever.
Everything about bent knees music is incredible
shhh dont tell anyone - but im in love with Jessica
As long as you don't tell anyone that I'm in love with Courtney
So is Ben. Get in line.
So haunting and heartbreaking. A song for staring out of window on a cold, rainy day and yet.., feeling every drop of rain.
Finally, someone with creativity that breaks musical barriers. We all need this, keep it going.
Yeah, no one was creative until these guys formed in 2009.
We need more Jessica. Justice Cow was a masterpiece, and anything she's a part of (especially when she sings) is incredible.
Jessica kills me in this song...
Damn. This is fantastic.

looks like your dream came true!

I know how you feel...!
Wish I discovered this band sooner. Amazing.
Well you found them & that's the most important thing 👌🎶
What an extraordinary beautiful song and even more gorgeous in this version. Perfectly played!
Powerful, emotional, musical, absorbing.
its good u bright people have stuck together after college, to make some beautiful tunes. Good luck and keep up the good work!

When they keep asking me 'what do you mean when you say prog is the perfection within imperfection? Now i can say Bent Knee
That was so delightful....
Strange yet beautiful ...
Courtney's vibratos make my heart feel funny.
Damn Jessica!
Holy wow
Hey man I too love Volta and Bent Knee we are one in the same, you and I
Only beautiful sounds coming from that guitar
I disagree. Ben can get really angsty and gritty when it's called for!
Angsty and gritty IS beautiful. More than anything contrast is....
Haunting
This was so what in the fork-ly good! Love the message. I was completely floored when it cut to the bass player's singing.
One hell of a song.
beautiful
Powerful and Evocative
Sorry it took me so long to discover this. Glad I’m here. This is mind blowing!
Wow. This is just exceptional. This live version might be better than the studio version!
Stunning :)
Just absolutely beautiful
Amazing.
Liked saved subscribed. I'd say more but I'm still quite speechless.
me parece que tienen influencia de cocteau twins, aun con eso muy buena rola y muy buena banda........
Sick!
I love Ben, especially for Ben Levin Group but damn Courtney is a fucking great singer and performer!!
Also, is Jessica really the same one from Justice Cow? damn! you wouldn't even know haha
Yes
Looks like the drummer and Ben have been in Justice Cow videos or whatever....Idk anything about it, just looked at some thumbnails
Yup. She is brilliantly artsy fartsy funny.
I love that the song is beautiful....I hate that it's relevant.
The interesting thing to me is how the guitarist uses a guitar normally used for METAL to get such pristine clean sounds.

Yeah . . . there are, tho.
I think I like this band, but I'm still unsure...
you do
Say hi to aaron and greg for me, God Damn
I just find out that Mohamed Salah is not only a football player, but also a guitarist
Honestly, the drummer's carrying them here

Ben really needs to bring back the long hair
Phenomenal vocal and damn that guitarist is so skinny 😁
Less reverb please...
