I confess as a "white woman" I am aware of how my distant ancestors treated Native Americans and feel horrible and disgraced about it.
But I was not there, and can not control the past.
So I try to take interest in Native American topics, legends, and stories.
While I am technically Christian, I find topics of Native American religion and concepts fascinating.
Wish this film was on Netflix! :)

Saw the film. Enjoyed it. Interesting story with nice plot twist. Thought the main character did a great job portraying a man with PTSD. I want to see it again!

@@HoltHamiltonFilms not sure if I can handle another one, legends from the sky brought up a lot of memories I was made to forget for the betterment of the people. Memories that sometimes I wish never returned and other times I wish I had all the memories that were taken so I could prepare my children and grandchildren for what's coming. The flood of memories sometimes are so painful that I wish I could die. The lives lost just to cover the past most have forgotten, the gifts some are given could have saved so many if they hadn't been locked away and hid. Now most refuse to talk about the gifts we were once given and others deny it was even gifts we should have had for we were young and they were old and it wasn't our time to lead but had no choice with as many that died before it was their time.
Am I the only one who feels confused ? Also the acting is so bad... sigh.

Poor acting, poor storyboard plot, bad camera angles and too much eye wondering, they need to feel the movie - not act it. Be the movie. I could do a better job directing and acting!

No actors were forced to work on this film. All tried out and gave it their best. The first time Native actors in this film had to start somewhere. Lots of people complain about there not being enough Native actors in Hollywood but no one gives first time Native actors a chance, then when someone does, like this film for example, - others tear them up so they don't want to try out again... sort of like trying to speak one's own language before it's gone - only fluent speakers often make fun of those trying to learn, instead of encouraging and helping them see how they can keep practicing and get the chance to improve and be better. Hope there are more opportunites in the future for all to improve. What are you doing about the situation besides offering criticism?

I've realized we all have one opinion, good or bad, for or against... regardless we each only get just one. I'm learning it's in the averages where we see what the majority of people with their one opinion really think.

Definitely worth waiting for the dvd, plot jumped around way too much, story could have been better, as well as some of the acting, main character needed to relax, guy was robotic and spoke louder than need be during some scenes. A little disappointing, but it was an okay movie.

I once asked my father which scene he remembers most from any Holt H movie. He said "The part when Ernie kicks the ant pile." I think this summarizes Holt Hamilton Production, a group of guys who cannot find any interesting in their lives to write about, so they exploit Native Americans for their source of plot material and profit.
I felt Turquoise Rose was a below average movie, but I gave Holt some credit since it was his first film (I even attended the premiere and wore a nice business suit). But after watching Blue Gap Boys and More than Frybread, I found his movies have increasingly gotten worse. The only reason why I will hate watch this movie is because my parents will probably have a bootleg copy of this film and the only show on TV is a re-run of Keeping up with the Kardakins.
