Why don't you show the 2 watt dead key on low-power and 10 watt dead key on high-power a little closer instead of just keying up where nobody can see it
I have ran ranger for years,..love the big cases as parts run cooler, and not packed in.The 69 is one of the best ones..I run rci 2980 with echo max 2000 mikes.I put twin fans and 100 w finals in mine awesome.looking for someone to build me a wireless max 2000 mike for it...
I have an old RCI Ranger RG-99 mobile unit I don't use anymore. Had it set up as a base station in a house but now live in a condo. I don't want it in a vehicle and have it stolen. What's a decent asking price?
This looks like my RCI 2980 and thats was a great radio, i bought one of these, now i wonder if someone can tell me how to change out the power supply, because the radio is coming from America and i live in Australia its a different Voltage, America is 110 volts while in Australia its 240 volts, i know i cant get a step down converter but at some stage it will be better to change the power supply, does anyone know which power supply i would need?, and is it something i could change out myself?, hope someone can answer my questions....
Nice radio I do amateur radio and I also do CB radio my question is when you buy a stock will it work on the Citizens Band the CB 11 meters? Or do I have to put a crystal in it I will not do it myself I would let the CB stores do it for me
Just move a jumper to another location or install simple easy part on board, usually 1 component. Easy conversion, don't pay someone else to do this, they could destroy it if they are a quack shop.
Hey can you trick out the President Richard 10 Meter Ham Radio, 50W PEP .. to add channels, convert to 11 meters, and tune it up .. let me know what options I have please sir.
mine has a swing kit in it and on low keys 2 watts and swings 200 watts and on high dead key is 50 and swings 250 but with a whistle 280 watts. do you thing this will shorten the power supply life? or amp life?I just bought it off a Guy i know.
My 2517 wich is the older board is creat on ssb, 5 digit counter is enough to get you spot on when calibrated. Mine drifts for about 5 min on warm up then its rock solid. My lincoln 2 plus has about the same start up drift
Back in the '90's I used to run a Galaxy DX 77hml in my mobile and it did not have a built in frequency counter on it, I had to use my ears to tune it. No Big Deal! Made bookoo's of contacts all around the earth on that rig. One of the best Galaxy's ever!
i still have the cobra 2000 that you did on here...glad you are back on ,,,
I like the case. Go figure... Wish the freq counter had the extra digit and it had a 10kc switch.
So you can watch it drift? If it would stay on frequency they would be ok, then worthy of the 6th digit.
You don't care for the case, but it looks like a REAL transceiver! 👍🏻
MIne's a beast and it drives my 300A perfectly.
650 here !!! #9 in the Keystone
Muy bonita radio, saludos desde islas Canarias España.
2:23 vco having a little trouble locking? Mmm, imagine that.

I'm going to use a mobile connex the newer one with big meter for a home base what kinda power supply should I use?
Watt meter for CB radio
Nice radio I do amateur radio and I also do CB radio my question is when you buy a stock will it work on the Citizens Band the CB 11 meters? Or do I have to put a crystal in it I will not do it myself I would let the CB stores do it for me
It comes 10 meter only 👌
At least that's what I was told ? I'd say that is correct

If you were to compare this to RCI 2995dxcf which radio is better
No comparison. The 2995 all day long.
@@davesdelta7836 What makes the 2995 better? I'm looking at both and was wondering the same thing.
Como combinar un microfono a un radio2950
Which pod is the power low and hi???
I know it is minor but I am no fan of the green LEDs. I preferred the old red ones. Red or maybe blue or yellow even would be better in my opinion.
Where can I get a 6 digit freq counter that will be wired and ready to plug in rci 69 base? thanks
Copper electronics. That is If they are in stock. Copper is out of many products due to the supply chain problems.
How much is this and where can you order
Hey can you trick out the President Richard 10 Meter Ham Radio, 50W PEP .. to add channels, convert to 11 meters, and tune it up .. let me know what options I have please sir.
The conversion is simple, it's online.
Did you have a shop in Commerce City Colorado a long time ago?
Nope

Is the radio stable on frequency for sideband use ?

Can you show what it looks like on a spectrum analyzer ? And how do we get ahold of you to get a order
You don't want to see it on a spectrum analyzer trust me.
@@kevinmccool3719 lol i agree lol
I can c one in future I miss my Saturn base.
"Cans" for frequency adjustments?
Inductor coils

i have a 2990and a2517rci and galaxy
I like this board.A lot of comm men can WORK on it,IF YOU have SOME knowable electronics and it's workings
This radio drift on ssb?
You know it does
@@Alpha1545 oh I didn't know
It drifts terrible just like all galaxy ssb radios. Complete junk for 650 dollars.
Fuck who cares if drift on ssb most people on ssb jerks anyway
As of June 2021 $650.00 on ebay
I was with him til he went Greek ( Geek ) on me
Hint; Get a stationary camera! This is unwatchable!
Was filmed during an earthquake
Only 5 digit counter no good for SSB NEXT

They do this so you don't see it constantly drifting
They are only stable enough for 5 digits ;).
