Great city with some of the best food in the world. Jalan Alor isn't exactly cheap, but has a busy, SE Asia-vibe. If you like markets, I suggest Chow kit wet market instead of the touristy ones. Wet, not touristy market for locals and hardly any tourists. Ridiculously great fruit as the usual mangosteen (the queen of fruit), longan, mangos and stuff you've never seen or tasted. You seem to have a very open mind which is great. Enjoy.
This was my first time in Malaysia, I always expect tourist areas to be pricy. I do like to venture off away from tourist areas then I travel. My next trip I will!
For your next trip, try authentic Malay food at the 100 years old Kampung Baru, the only village left in the middle of the city. Just a stone’s throw away from the Petronas Towers. A totally different vibe. Wanjo nasi lemak with delicious beef or chicken rendang is recommended. Although I find their sambal (red chilli sauce) too sweet, not spicy, I reckon they are more palatable for beginners. Not sure how much longer will this village stand due to it’s much sought after prized location 😢 Also worth trying is banana leaf rice at the various Malaysian Indian restaurants in KL. The best I had had were the ones in Bangsar area. (Rice served on banana leaves with delicious side veggies and curries)
Nice food in street Kuala Lumpur sir ok😢😮❤❤😅😮😅
Thank you, a lot of options. I liked that it wasn't loud.
