  • An exciting day here ‪@TinyBarnFarm‬ as we offer a home for these wild critters on the farm. A local wildlife rescue was in search of release sights in northern Ontario for some of the animals they have rescued and cared for over the summer. Many of these critters were orphaned as little babies this past spring and are now old enough to be returned back to the wild to live their best lives.
We jumped at the opportunity to offer our 100 acre farm. The property offers a diverse ecosystem with open meadows, forests, wetlands, streams and ponds and many hiding places.
We had the pleasure of welcoming 9 teenage raccoons and 5 teenage skunks to share the land with us. In this video I share some footage of the releases at different areas of the farm and some interesting things I learned about these incredible wild animals.
Thank you so much for watching. Please be sure to like, share and subscribe for many more adventures here @TinyBarnFarm

So great of you to offer your property!
You might be sorry if the raccoons get into your shed or barn as they’re very destructive but hopefully they’ll stay in the woods.
Imaging letting your teenager out into the world by themselves!
They looked a little freaked out to begin a big, wild, unknown place but, like you said they’ll have ten hours or so to acclimate before they settle in for the night.
    I hope they do well.
I know they’ve been taken care of by humans for many months so are used to you but will have to now fend for themselves!
Maybe they’ll come back to your house to visit!

HI Pam! Oh yes, I imagine these little critters were quite nervous and super excited to be out in the wild. They're quite a long distance from our house so imagine they'll prefer the woods, but you never know... I may see one peering in the window one day! Hahaha
