- I have been looking for this song like 12 years. Finally I have found it. It is a song about soviet army, ready to defend the motherland, the peace, alongside with allied forces of the WARSAW pact. In the video, you can see the pictures of the armies of Czechoslovakia and Poland. I hope you will find this song interesting. As always, tell me what you think about it. Thanks.

Such a beautiful song, you can clearly tell what it's about without even reading lyrics. The first part with the manly solo is obviously a grim fight song, warning about enemies and readying potential for war. Then the chorus is a warm welcome rally to all potential comrades and friends.

This song was called "The Song of the Allied Forces", the title makes me think that Soviet really made songs for the Western Allies in World War II, until I watched the video...

Good old times... Maybe one day all Slavic people will be marching shoulder to shoulder once again.
Gratius Military pact made by russians was used only 3 times in history. And in all 3 cases it was agresion againts it's own member.
laszu I know, Hungary and Czechoslovakia. But still, no meber of WP was ever fighting Soviet's wars. And these internal turmoils you've mentioned were solved quickly and with minimal casualties.
Tell me, what's NATO purpose right now? This pact was created during Cold War to protect West from communist East. Soviet Union is long gone, most former WP member countries are now NATO members... For what?
Gratius Internal turmoils solved with minimal casualties. 1956 revolution in Hungary- 15 000 people killed. 1968 reformation of communist regime in Czechoslovakia- 600 people killed and 93 000 people fled to western Germany. And Russians still call it help. 1981 after Russians threatened Poland with invasion 300 people killed by their own army. From time of these events Soviet union only lost few not so fucked up countries, changed it's name and lost it's shield from civilized countries made of us. You see why central European countries are in NATO to defend themselves against bolseviks from Russia?
Both of these examples are still better than civil war or full scale Soviet invasion. About Poland... Polish "opposition" was sponsored by CIA and there's enough evidence for it. Hungary in 1956 tried to leave WP and became neutral, Soviets didn't let that to happened. Czechoslovakia is a different matter, this intervention wasn't neccesary.
In the past slogan about defending Europe against bolshevism was very popular... Guess where exactly and who was using it. ;)
laszu I know how "German help" looks like, my nation payed their share of blood trying to stop the Nazis. And if you're proud of Hungary's membership in Axis during WW2, you should probably seek professional help.
Their is an old saying "Poles and Hungarians, two brothers", at least in Poland. It seems that this is just stupid saying, nothing more. ;)

Well I have thought about that. But to be honest, there are many "victory day" songs, but I find just a couple of them really good. And I dont want to post the same footage all over again, and finding a new one is quite challenging.

Trzeba jedno przyznać, że ZSRR lepiej wtedy zabezpieczało Polskę militarnie niż teraz USA. Wtedy przyjaźń pomiędzy Narodem Polskim a Rosyjskim była bardzo dobrze widoczna.
