I've always wondered why these characters feel the need to give closure to the scumbags despite knowing they're being played. And all this, wait for a 3 days, or a week, or month before I walk away doesn't make sense to me. No one should extend their stay in a toxic relationship unless they're plotting a safe exit to avoid physical harm or retaliation, or saving up money to afford an independent life. But these characters drink and party with the scumbags, knowing that they may be poisoned or trapped into an unfortunate situation. Sometimes, they even eat food they're allergic to - just to prove some point. Why? Why? Why?

That final breakup was one of the healthiest I’ve ever seen on one of these shows. I’m glad that we weren’t subjected to full blown cheating (what happened was bad enough, thank you very much). It was sadly funny when he kept saying things to her in Paris that we so often hear from the FLs confronting their heartless scumbags. And it was nice that she managed to stay calm throughout, and feel empowered and ready to face her future in the end.

Also he clearly revealed while he was drunk, you know the saying kids and drunks always say the true. Him not wanting to let her go was a mix of not wanting to let go of the person which took care of him for years and her dumping him first.

He definitely deserved a slap after the haunted house incident. But she was already so disappointed in him that she just left him quietly. That was more for her well being than trying to hurt him. He learned to late what his actual feelings were. He thought he had done the whole boyfriend correctly but he didn't even know what she was allergic to and kept trying to feed her that. I'm glad she moved on and also not jump right into another relationship. She needs time to figure out who and what she really wants in life.
I really loved the end, when they became two people who actually communicated instead of the toxic versions we usually see where the FL instantly jumps into another relationship and hides behind it. Here FL owned the end of the relationship and gave no quarter.

He definitely deserved a slap after the haunted house incident. But she was already so disappointed in him that she just left him quietly. That was more for her well being than trying to hurt him. He learned to late what his actual feelings were. He thought he had done the whole boyfriend correctly but he didn't even know what she was allergic to and kept trying to feed her that. I'm glad she moved on and also not jump right into another relationship. She needs time to figure out who and what she really wants in life.
I really loved the end, when they became two people who actually communicated instead of the toxic versions we usually see where the FL instantly jumps into another relationship and hides behind it. Here FL owned the end of the relationship and gave no quarter.
