J.O.E. Educates: Slavery, Catholicism, and Lessons for Today

Guest speaker Christopher J. Kellerman, SJ, led a discussion on Sept. 7 explaining the basics of the Catholic Church’s historical involvement with slaveholding and the Atlantic slave trade, drawing lessons from this history for the life of the contemporary Church.
