    You can’t beat the Wireless GO II versatility. Only downfall is remembering to keep it charged and the battery life isn’t as long as the NTG.

    Thanks for the video! I typically use a TASCAM+Lav, but there've been times where I forgot to record audio or there's nasty peaks for no reason that the lav can't handle. So a backup mic on the camera is my hope to solve the issue. But the quality even of the Rode Micro is so good, it may become my primary one day.

      The rode micro is a solid mic! I e had mine for quite awhile and it’s in my bag pretty much all the time. I haven’t picked one up yet but rode just put out the Rode video Go 2 which sounds a lot like the NTG video mic but way less expensive

    Hi Kyle, thank you for the video. It is much appreciated. I am not going to use this camera outdoor since my videos will be always inside. Do you have any recommendations for a mic which is going to work with this camera in this specific case? As I said I am planning to do indoor videos and Twitch so I am wondering if your recommendations would stay the same or you have something else in mind. What do you think?

    • @KyleWattsTV
      @KyleWattsTV  2 года назад +2

      If you are streaming on things like twitch you will probably want a usb mic that you would plug into your computer. If you are recording videos to upload then I would plug into the camera. I use the rode ntg videomic as my main mic (in studio and on camera outside) and I love it. It’s both a mic you can plug into the camera and a usb mic. It’s a pretty great sounding mic as well.

    Great video.
    I'm looking for a mic (for the ZV-E10) to record cycling events (so trying to pick up the sounds of the road/mountain bikes as they approach the camera). I'm guessing they will be about 30' or so and approaching.
    Would these mics work for that, or is that an entirely different type of mic?
    I enjoy your videos, and would like to support. If you have links for the recommended mic - so I can buy through your channel, will gladly buy through that.
    Thanks and look forward to your future videos (even if they don't apply to anything I'm considering; they're still entertaining and educational).

    • @KyleWattsTV
      @KyleWattsTV  2 года назад +1

      The ntg would probably be the best if these for that purpose but you would have to turn the mic up a lot and it would amplify the sound around the mic of close sounds. What people use for long range mics is called a parabolic microphone which is like a round dish around the mic (like they use at football games)

I’m trying to capture the detail sounds when I’m working on the crafts. It’s not asmr, but I want clear distinct sounds because I do macros while I’m tinkering.
    I’m not sure which mic would work best for this.
    Can the mic you recommend also connect to an iPhone? If not, which mic would you recommend for an iphone to film the crafts? Thanks in advance!

    • @KyleWattsTV
      @KyleWattsTV  2 года назад +3

      On the Zve-10 there are 2 options for stabilization, standard and active. Standard only turns on lenses that are stabilized. Some Sony lenses have the work OSS on the lens and they signifies that it’s a stabilized lens. Active stabilization is the camera body’s digital stabilization. This mode crops in about 40% so that it can have room to digitally stabilize the image. For me the active stabilization is cropped in too much for vlogging or pointing a camera at yourself so I will use standard as long as I’m using a OSS lens (the kit lens is an OSS btw)

    Hi Kyle, thanks for the review. I've just got a Rode VideoMicro for my ZV E10, but when I plug it, the camera keeps grabbing the sound from the internal microphone. The microphone is plugged on the mic input (just on top of USB-C port), I have also tried several cables and checked it is fully inserted. The microphone works on my computer. Is there anything special to set up on the camera ? Thanks :)

    Hi, I just got my deity d4 duo mic on my sony zve10. how should be the set up on the menu? I couldn't figure out the proper set up so my camera can record with audio from the microphone.

    • @KyleWattsTV
      @KyleWattsTV  2 года назад +1

      The only thing you should need to do is adjust the audio levels to go with the mic. I try to get the levels to around -12 on the meter. Also if you use the mic for front and rear recording, it’s going to split your audio to left and right so you will want to usually edit that in post to mono.

    Can the DJI be used with another mic on sony zv-10 simultaneously? The DJI only comes with 2 TX but what if I have more people . Should I get more TXs. Will DJI RX be able to sync with more than 2 RX? Planning to do a show on the road basically. (TX=Transmitter, RX= receiver). Please advise. Thank you

      I believe you can if you have 2 sets and a stereo splitter cable. But it would probably only record duel mono but on both left and right channels separately

I have a problem , i bought sony zv e10 and the recommended ntg rode videomic but when I use the cable and connect it to the camera, i don't get the audio of the rode and instead of it i still get the internal mic from the camera, need help

    • @KyleWattsTV

      Make sure the mic is pushed all the way in and that the mic is charged up. I once recorded some stuff and the cable on the mic side wasn’t pushed all the way in and I only got the internal mic. I’ll have to double check that there isn’t a setting In the camera that turns off the mic input but I don’t think there is one

      I think that it detect the micro cause after recording the video with the mic connected to the camera, when i play the video, i need to unplug the cable so that i can listen to the audio, but the audio doesn't come from the rode but from the internal zv e10 mic
