ASP PRESENTS:
A Vintage US Army Film, Patrolling 1: The Reconnaissance Patrol.
The Recon Patrol is to determine what lays ahead of the main force and gather as much enemy intelligence. Their objective is to survey enemy traffic and positions, observe enemy fortifications and structures, record the enemy numbers, activity, uniforms, equipment, and strength, and highlight the topography and combat area. Prior to the reconnaissance mission, the Recon Patrol is to coordinate with FSO and S2, and with the supply team as to the equipment they need.
The success of the patrol is the result of thorough planning and preparation.
This video highlights of such success by the Recon Patrol.

Whoa, hold on a minute. According to the title this was produced in 1980. This is vintage? I'm a Vietnam vet. Does that mean I'm an antique?
Alan Bower I'd say old school, not antique, and I mean that as a term of endearment. We learned from the old school-from the privates and NCOs, to the field officers in how it should be done right.
Nope, antique is WWII, for example, my type 14 Nambu is 75 years old, it's a late WWII model. Now that's an antique.
No Alan your not an antique. But thank you for your service it is well appreciated

@@sgtslippyfist6345There're soldiers who record information using cameras and books. There's nothing to laugh about here.
