Hey man I’m going hunting there tomorrow it’s my first time at grey lodge and suggestions on spots or any tips?
Can’t really describe any good spots, without really being there… typically gray lodge tends to be kind of busy depending on the day you go. If you have a good number try to get away from crowds as much as possible, and once you do find a spot, put out your decoys and turn your red light on to tell people that your there. Nothing is worse than shooting time, and you have a group right next to you because yall didn’t see each other. Sorry for the late reply and hope you smack em!

that bird at 2:30 looked like some time of hybrid. It definetley had some gadwall in it; It may have some eurasian wigeon in it also considering the reddish head.

hey there, i'm going to start hunting gray lodge. Should i just get there early as hell or? I've never been. Any tips much appreciated.
In the beginning of the season I would say yes get there early, like two days early lol. But now you can just either get a number the night before or the morning of and you should be fine to get on at shoot time

Gray lodge is kind of a Wild West, so make sure you keep track of your things. We had things personally stolen from our trucks. Keep distance from other shooters, gray lodge is known for crowding ponds, and just be respectful. Other than that just have fun and explore!
The last time I hunted Gray Lodge was about 5 years ago and it was crazy back then, I stopped going there this Saturday would be my first time back, good to know that things haven’t change lol
