Bonjour du Quebec...I received my B2601 on May 26, 2023...ho la la...what a pleasure. Thank you for your very good information. I chose the backhoe, it's very good..
Yeah, It's an old video but like all your videos it was very informative and very well done. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed seeing the 2601 mod. Nice clean install.
@@GPOutdoors Gord, Thank you. I really appreciate all your help and support. I stopped by my dealer yesterday. They now have a ton of new excavators built sitting there that are sold, but no tractors yet.
here i am gord, digging through your 9th video for how to wire up my B2601 work lights :) thank you for all your hard work. Its also fun to see how far your video productions have come in 3 years.
I realize this is an older video and you probably have the lights mounted the way you want them. If not Amazon has Nilight 90042B 2PCS Magnetic Bases for $14 dollars. These are very strong rubber coated magnets that doesn't let things move. I live in southern Tennessee where it is very hot and humid, I have two 6" metal fans stuck to my ROPS with these bases. One base per fan is more than enough. I enjoy your videos, thank you
Hi GP. Where this is an older video you may not see this. I just want to say thank you for this video and more importantly, your entire channel. I've been a subscriber for a while and I've learned alot. I just ordered a B2301 ( no 2601 availability and not the same financing unfortunately). Regardless I trust the 23 will suit me fine. Kubota should pay you a commission because it's because of you I'm buying one Thanks again for the effort you put into this channel. I wish you and your family a blessed Christmas!
Good morning and so sorry Scott. That was pretty early in my channel and I was just beginning to learn how to edit and make the videos - never done it before. I think they are a little better now. Sorry again and hope you have a good week! Thanks for watching!
Hi Gord - nice collection of helpful videos. Easy to watch on a broad range of topics. I look forward to the next one! Thanks for sharing your new found expertise. MC
Gord, I've been watching your videos for a few weeks. I really appreciate how much time you spend explaining everything. We take delivery of our 2650 any day (our first tractor). I wanted to make sure that I understood how you wired up your lights. Is this the correct approach? The negative lead from the harness (via extension cable #1) to switch, the positive lead from the harness (via extension cable #1) to switch. The negative lead from light (via extension cable #2, through the ROPS) combined with the negative lead from the harness at the switch, the positive lead from the light (via extension cable #2, through the ROPS) to the switch. I assume the switch needs negative because it has an LED light? Thanks again for all the fantastic videos, I feel like I am already starting out ahead of the curve but there is SOOO much to learn.
Good morning Don! Thanks for the kind comments and congratulations on the new tractor! You must be counting the days to delivery. Very exciting time for you. I just finished a tips and MODs video you may enjoy - I should have it edited and uploaded next week. Re: The wiring: I might be a little sleepy as I just got up but yes, I believe that is correct I if I am understanding your steps correctly. :)) Also, just as a suggestion, when you pick up your parts, may I suggest you try to find switches similar to mine - they have a little LED light on them so when you flip the switch on, the little light glows. It was only a few cents more but now at night when you look down, you can see which light(s) are on and helpful when in the dark, to find them easily to shut them off. Good luck and please feel free to let me know how things are going after you get the tractor! Cheers and congrats again!
Good day and thanks very much Charles. I got them at a small electronic parts store. I think they have them at princes auto as well if I remember correctly. Thanks again for watching and for the comment! Cheers!
We have BX2370-1 with Citrus cab have two lights like yours on front of cab like them nothing on rear you gave some good ideas hav 6 foot RB 1572 with front snow blower BX5450 only work in day light with light can do it any time Thanks PaK
Could you please comment on using the Rops as the location for the light bar as opposed to some point forward like the Bucket or grill guard. All the reflected light back to my eyes seems like a negative.
Good morning David! Thanks for the question. I agree with you that at night when walking back toward the tractor, at some points, I get the lights shining right at me. But my thoughts on it is that I wanted the lights high up and shining over whatever was on my FEL. And also to the rear of the tractor so I could see behind me as well. The lights I have are pretty good - the outside bulbs are flood type so they light up a wide pattern out front and to the side, the three in the middle are spot lights. I would not mount them on the bucket since I don't always have the bucket on the tractor, and because I am pretty sure the lights would get damaged at some point. I could have possibly mounted them on the grill guard but they would get blocked by the bucket or other attachment one the FEL. So, I thought it best to mount them on the ROPS. Some tractors have them mounted on the rear fenders but I didn't like that because they could be blocked again by the FEL, tractor body or an attachment I have hanging on the 3 point hitch. Also, the wiring harness is pre-wired under the right rear fender. Just my thoughts. I am happy with them - they shoot a far distance forward and backwards, unfettered. Hope that helps explains it a bit. Take care and all the best!
Just subscribed to your channel. Good stuff! I also just bought a tractor last fall... NH Workmaster 35. Bought what looks to be that same light. Wired it straight from the battery, now I’m thinking there might’ve been an easier way. Keep up the great videos! Thanks!
Did you consider a relay for the lights or was the wattage minimal enough and didn't require one? I enjoy your informative videos. I just purchased a new B2601HSD after watching your channel. You should have gotten a commission! Thank you.
Good day and congratulations the new tractor Tom! That's great - hope you enjoy it. There was no need for a relay - the 2 lights together were still well within the existing specs of the prewired fuse on those wires back to the fuse box. I think there is a 5 A fuse in it already marked "Work Lights". Good luck and all the best!
Curious, did you price out that plastic fender piece before drilling holes in it? Was that the best spot for the switches or after a couple years do you wish you'd chosen a different spot?
Good day UWP and great question. I didn't price out the piece but thought about where was the best spot pretty thoroughly before deciding on it. So far, still 100% happy with the placement. Lots of room under it and easy to access. And I am right handed so very easy to slide my hand down and flip the lights on and off easily. Happy I chose switches with the little LED's so I can see them glow at night. Hope that helps. Cheers!
Hey good day Pocket Spill! Thanks for subscribing and watching. I don't have the parts #'s info since I have tossed out the packaging some time ago and I bought the materials from various places but here is the short list: 2 LED work lights (at least 1200 Lumens each), 18 gage wire - 4 conductor (roll of 25 feet), 1/2" Loom to protect the wiring, 18 gauge bullet connectors and flat connectors, shrink wrap, any 2-position switches (qty 2). You can pick these up at any automotive store. I used 2 ROPS brackets which I purchased from Messick Farm Equipment- they are made by "BillyWorx". You can order them online from Messick's (I show the completion of the bracket install in Video #12). Hope that is helpful. Cheers and thanks again!
@@GPOutdoors Having trouble finding similar lights. If you remember next time you go to the same Auto store see if you find numbers for the lights. I sure like those.
Good morning James. Sorry it took so long to respond my friend. I bought them at a place called Princess Auto. Here's the particulars : It's made by "Uni - Bond". Its called "Flood Beam With Centre Spot Beam". The manufacturer's model number is : LW6008 - C. It comes in a plastic package and the cardboard in it is orange in colour. Hope that helps. Cheers!
Good morning John. It was there - my Dealer and the manual says the ROPS can't be altered in any way so thats why I had to run the wire all the way down and out the bottom - does yours not have a little hole there too?
Hi Gord. Im looking to do the same with my Kubota L series so I have 2 switches to operate both lights separately. Would you know if you need a relay for this since you came off the work light connections? I have been looking at the LED light bars and wire harnesses on amazon.ca They have a relay in them, but you have to connect to the battery and fish to the back of the tractor. Great video's again. I have been following for some time now.
Good morning Twindad! I shouldn't think so. In Video #116 we installed two separately switched lights on my neighbour's L3400. Check it out and you'll see we needed nothing more than the lights, switches and some wire. Hope this helps! Cheers and thanks for watching. :)) Let me know how it turns out!

Yes, I have since found the controls to reduce the music so should be better in the next videos. Cheers and Happy Holidays! Thanks for watching.
Nice job took a little time but seems like it was well worth it. They are bright for little units. Thanks for the video.
And thanks kindly for watching! Cheers- Have a good weekend
Nice video GP, I would like to do a similar thing with our tractor. Will try and locate similar components. And follow your lead.
I was hoping the "work light" wires would have been always hot so we could connect a battery tender. Keep up the good work!
Hey Brian. No just on accessory and on. Cheers!
great video. but man. you blew my ear drums when the music came on!

Looks like they get the job done.

They work great. Also check out video 12 and you will see the new aluminum pinch brackets I put in to hold them. Cheers and thanks!
Will do.

Any recommendation for bullet connector to mate with the Kubota factory ones under the fender?
Plastic protector is called wire loom

Can you provide a link for where you bought the lights and switches? Item numbers, etc.
