Never have I seen the back opening! So clever..learned something new to day. These fabric ornaments remind me of the 70’s when it was a crazy with my family. Most of us sewed and each year we each made a new one, then got together to exchanged ornaments. Just saw this year’s picture of you sister-in-laws tree..and there were my birds and grandmother’s small patchwork stocking! So sweet..it made my day❤ thanks Beth! (KH)
I’m commenting on this again😮 The back of the bell with that opening is pure genius I made one. I didn’t have any vintage linen but I had scrap fabric with a beautiful red cardinal i fussy cut. Turned out cute! It was so fun to make. May make quite a few to give away! Thanks Beth you have a fabulous creative mind!
You constantly provide such useful ways of putting things together 😃 Making the back of the bell was something that I would never have thought of, but it’s ideal for what you are making 🤩 Thanks for sharing your skills Beth 👏👏🇬🇧
You brain must never stop thinking of things to make. Great idea with the back...you could also stuff the bell to give it a three D shape as well. Love all the old fabrics and buttons. As always another wonderful project.
I'll never forget, back in the 60s, my brother had made bells from those little dixie cups, painted silver, and used a silver pipe cleaner to hang a little bell on the inside. He may have been a cub scout at the time. We had them in our Christmas decorations for a long time. God rest his soul. I lost him in September. A good memory.😊
Oh thank you! Those are as sweet as can be. I have an old Christmas tablecloth I was going to take to Goodwill but my daughter-in-law stopped me and said maybe I could make something with it, so I kept it. Now I’m glad I did!
I am a hoarder who cannot resist grab bags of handcraft as well as Quilty things, though I have no idea of what I might make out of all the goodies! Handwork is not my idea of a fun date, however, you are so creative that I am inspired to copy most of your creations. I found a lacework in one corner of what I think is a napkin. Because of your encouragement, I know now what I will do with that piece. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself with me and others. The places you use buttons is so FUN! I have buttons in containers all over the house - - not ever needing them, just accruing them in my quilting journey. The way you fixed the back on the bell ornaments was GENIUS! I have been greatly encouraged and inspired to actually use the supplies I have been gathering - - and! I can share what I learn with others. Truly a gift from you that just keeps on giving.
I love home made ornaments. I've noticed that a lot of places have decorated with home made ornaments this year. Many are not using any electric lights. An old fashioned Christmas is always the prettiest. It brings back many happy memories for me. Your Christmas bells are beautiful. I have spent many happy hours sorting through buttons for projects through the years. My collection of buttons is much larger than my mother's. I have never stopped adding to my collection.
Beth these little ornaments are lovely. You remind me of my husband's Aunt Mary who was born in the 1910s. She was inspired by many things around her and made many beautiful things for friends and family.
Hi Beth! I didn't think there would be something as cute or cuter than the little star ornaments, but these are just darling!! I'm a thrifter/antiquer so I love the thought of using the old linens for this 💗💗 I have one of those little heat guns & crystals, so I could use them for this. I'm with the others that the backing idea is genius!!!
Yes I was thinking the same thing! It would be easy to just trace around the cookie cutter for the pattern. Bells, stars of various shapes, poinsettia, stocking, etc. Fun project and adding embellishments makes them so adorable!
I love these adorable bells💕The vintage napkin fabric you chose is beautiful and perfect! Your creativity is absolutely amazing and very infectious☺️ THANK YOU!!
I believe I have a bell shaped cookie cutter that would make an easy pattern! Sweet little bell ornaments, Beth. Thanks for encouraging us to use what we have on hand.
They’re adorable. Always learning from you. I had never seen that way to finish the project and it’s so effective. It let you add details and you could add batting to add volume. Thank you for sharing. 🥰
Thank you for the inspiration. Had to forego our antique glass ornaments. We have a 6 month old kitten and 2 yr old cat. They believe the tree is their new cat tree 😂. Had to tie it to the wall (had a tree crash ). These ornaments week be perfect to add with the crocheted snowflakes, journal tags and plastic thrift store balls. Merry Christmas and God Bless ❤
Dear Beth, You could use these ornaments to hide a little surprise inside of the bell....kids would love them. Very clever and Merry Christmas and a God bless your new year!
Beth, you amaze me. You look at a vintage napkin and see ornaments that you can make! I did not get that gene. Thank goodness I can just watch you and imitate you. 😂😂 Many thanks for all the great videos you do for us. Happy Holidays!
Beth, I have twelve totes of Christmas ornaments, glass family ornaments and many I made over the years, crocheted snowflakes, handmade little stuffed bears, reindeers from egg cartons and tiny fabric angels. Your little bells will be lovely addition. Gathering some ancient fabric napkins from my hutch to give them new life! Thank you for sharing such a sweet idea. Happy Holidays to you and your family. Blessings, Dawn
Beautiful bells and love the opening you made,. Personally I would add the beads after sewing to avoid problems at the machine as it us open in the back. Thanks for sharing 😍 😊
Cute overload! I have to try this. I’m not always good with tiny small projects but going to try! I made that Christmas quilt you had a video on awhile back the red and green one. It turned out so cute I was happy about that 😊
What a lovely way to use items that are just stored and not being appreciated. I am looking at some vintage handkerchiefs that have gorgeous tatting, lace and embroidered motifs that could be featured. Thanks for opening up the idea. Merry Christmas
Beth they are lovely Christmas bells, you are very creative, I didn’t think that second fabric would work, but I was pleasantly surprised how you transformed it. Thank you for taking the time. Happy Christmas from the UK 🎄
Love these gorgeous bell shaped ornaments. and the ideas with the fabric usage. Learnt again so much this year from your channel. Its so much fun. May you and your family have a peaceful Christmas.✨
The way you did the opening in the back having finished edges? You could actually leave it open and use the little bell as a gift card presentation. Just measure to make sure that your bell is big enough to slip a gift card inside through that slit.
The little "lamplight" type bulb you have hanging among the many beautiful ornaments, one could (save) and use empty spools to create "Spool Lanterns!" I will now be saving my used spools for next year--and, may even empty a few prior to Xmas Eve. Thanks for the inspiration, Beth!
You're welcome to use the idea to make another video, you're *special rendition of creativity* is always fun! And, heck, get another upload out of it!!!!
What a clever way to back this, thank you once again for so much inspiration!
I love this method for turning them right side out. It's one of those no brainer things that I never think of doing!

Very cute and clever Beth. Great use of embellishments which we all collect.👏♥️🇦🇺
That opening was so clever. Thank you for sharing your creativity with so many of us.
I agree! It blew my mind! Such an easy CLEAN way to turn things inside out. I’ve already used it 3x, I’ll prob never do it any other way again!❤❤❤
You have such ingenious ideas, they are beautiful, thanks.

When grading seams use your pinking shears, it reduces the bulk, it does a great job , an old idea that still works today
