Pokemon Infinity actually has a pretty beastly Sunflora evo called Sunflorid. Not only is it a Grass/Fire-type, but it can also have Drought as an ability.

The evolution of luvdisc, the one on the top, is so absolutely lovely! Love how it integrates the design of Eros' Arrows!

Like whenever it uses a damaging move it takes the form of the arrow, having more attack and speed, but it'll take the bow form using any other move, having more defense and special defense but less speed. Could also have an ability where while being in bow form, it charges up, making its next damaging move in arrow form stronger by a percentage

Sunflora evolving into a fire/grass type is just brilliant, it's a SUN flower after all and its way more original than the pepper route

I want it to get an evolution and keep its cute and lovable disposition but be an absolutely monster in battle, I really hope when we finally get it that it doesn't get the dunsparce treatment and is actually super strong

Plusle and Minun are NOT about mathematical operations, so evolving them into multiplication and division is not the way to go. They are based on electrons and protons, which have negative and positive electric charge, respectively

Morpeko is already extremely strong (if used right) and can beat quite a few legendaries with ease, it'd be horrifying to see an evolution of it but it's also something I'm willing to see.
I could just be a similar case to scizor where the evolution doesn’t get any stronger but maybe even just for the sake of giving it an evolution

marill is not typically considered a pikaclone
@@Tyranitar.Actually it's generally considered the pika clone of gen 2 due to its many striking characteristics it shares with Pikachus design.
Its considered one in the same since the mimikyu is. Even though neither follow the electric typing rule both are clearly designed to be new mascot pokemon for their regions, and yes Alola is the 2nd region to have 2 pika clones. Marill was actually so blatant about it its the first pokemon to appear earlier than its generation in the anime.

Pawmi was such a good Pika clone, that I didn't know it was until after beating the game with it and hearing about it on RUclips
I like the idea of for a luvdisk evo they get a unique ability where every move hits twice with reduced damage so they have low base stats and slightly worse damage for every move but every move hits twice (unless it misses for accuracy purposes)

@@Taz-ey4jl actually, I can see it working well. A pokemon with an ability that lets them hit EVERY move twice would be meta defining. Firstly, it's a sash/sturdy breaker, & on moves with added effects like flamethrower, Thunderbolt, or ice beam, you get two chances to proc its effect. It's a really cool idea. If only there were a Pokémon like that already. Like, maybe a normal type of some kind. One that carries around a baby & is based on a kangaroo or smth.

There was a time I thought Alomomola would be an evolution for Luvdisc.
There is nothing stopping Game Freak from making Luvdisc and Alomomola related. They did it before with the Hitmons
I forget that Pawmi counts as a Pika clone because of how much i liked it in my playthrough. Surprisingly awesome pokemon

Honestly Pawmot needs to be redesigned. It barely changes at all, to the point I passed by Pawmi and Pawmo and couldn’t tell which was the evolved ones and which weren’t.
@:D to me, it looks like all it did was stand up when Pawmi evolves into Pawmo. Pawmot does have some changes with the fur but that’s it. I just think a color change to a more dramatic color or something a bit more noticeable so when you ride past them on Miraidon/Koraidon you can spot the Pawmo faster if it’s one you need

@@BonniRaven i can spot Pawmo pretty easily. And Pawmot is also very noticeable by its size and its little hair tuft along with the fact that its arms are huge. It's a very cute design and I personally think it's perfect. I don't really mind Pawmo but I can somewhat understand where people are coming from

I *love* the cupid bow evolution of luvdisc. It’s really unique and i could see every single one of these being in the main game
I legit laughed hysterically the first time I heard that Alomomola isn’t the evolved form of Luvdisk.
Gamefreak literally gave my man Sunflora Chlorophyll (doubles speed in sunlight; which adds the risk of boosting fire type moves against it) and 30 base speed. Even if you had perfect speed IVs, max EVs and a good nature for speed, with Chlorophyll, most pokemon still outspeed Sunflora :/
I honestly never thought about how the pikachu clones don't evolve, which doesn't make any sense! Since pikachu himself has evolutions!

Here is my idea for a Luvdisc evolution:
Alomomola:
Alomomola would be a pink, fishlike Pokémon with darker pink markings on its heart-shaped body and fins. It would have large dorsal and ventral fins resembling hands, each divided into four sections and tipped with a paler pink. The shape of the Pokémon would resemble an ocean sunfish, as it lacks a proper tail fin. Its eyes would be round with golden irises and a mark that would appear to be an eyelash extending up and back toward the rest of the body. Alomomola's entire body would be enveloped in a special membrane that would be a able to heal wounds.
Alomomola would live in the open seas. If it finds an injured Pokémon floating at sea, it would heal the Pokémon's wounds using its membrane and carry it back to shore. Alomomola would do this this because any predators coming for the injured Pokémon could also come for Alomomola. Alomomola would swim alongside smaller Pokémon to accompany them; thus, many water Pokémon would gather around it. Fishermen would take Alomomola during long voyages, saving the need to have a doctor or medicine on ships.

Sunflora getting a grass/fire evolution is such an obvious route to take that i'm surprised it still hasn't happened. But Sunflora already evolves by stone so i doubt that'll happen

I remember seeing Alomomola and I was convinced for a while it was Luvdisc's evolution for a while until gen 5 revealed the whole entire new dex thing
Dedene and Pachirisu are my favorite pikaclones and I think they are definitely in need of a sick second evolution
Plusle and Minun evolving into Multisule and Divisule wouldn't make sense since they are based on Protons (positive charges) and Electrons (negative charges), so them evolving into math symbols would not fit

I made a regional variant of Luvdisc WAY back, which would be cool to revisit. More recently, I made a variant of Sunken that is a powerful counterpart to Sunflora... Again may need to be revisited 😅

Why do people keep thinking of making multiplication or division-based evolutions or alternate Plusle/Minun counterparts? Plusle and Minun aren't math puns, they're electricity puns, i.e. polarity symbols.

One Pokemon I think needs an evolution is Maracatus. Sure she is already a better cactus than Cacturne, but I feel that she could be even better.

I LEGIT thought Alomomola was an Evolution of Luvdisc at first and am convinced that it was meant to be one.
I saw this idea online once, it was like an angelfish called Alolamola and it was a “leak” or whatever and people thought it would be an evolution to Luvdisc

Imagine the way to evolve into Lovey Dovey, you need to have two Luvdiscs in your party and when they evolve they fuse into one and almost double their stats

The idea of Luvdisc evolving is nice. It'd probably have to be some new method again so that-a-way they can "discover" it and why it hadn't happened yet.

Instead of Roselia, which got both a Pre-evo and evo in the same gen, instead connect Luvdisc and Alomomola with a Pokémon

been playing pokémon games for probably close to 14 years and i just caught my very first shiny about a month ago. it was a luvdisc. i had to sit and reevaluate my life up until that point in time.

Multusle and Divisun kinda go against the point of Minun and Plusle tho. They aren't math, they are opposite poles. But yeah, it could be cool to see some evolutions for the clones.
I’m still utterly convinced that Alolamola at some point a Luvdisc evolution, either during some point in Gen 5’s design process (before they went with all new, unrelated Pokemon for the regional dex), or from even a previous Gen and it ended up shelved.
They just look to similar for it to be a coincidence.
You know what I think a really good name for a luvdisc Evo would be? Alomomola.
