This kind of content deserve much attention and acknowledgement. To tell you all, honestly this lad here is saving every engine crew specially young engine cadets from being maltreated, bullied, discriminated due to lack of knowledge, inexperience and low self-esteem. This is what everybody must be doing and be having as an example. No selfishness, no bragging, just pure helping and sharing. Because sharing of knowledge does not only increases the range of understanding of those who are in need, but also it inspires them to be like one.
As you say my brother, sharing knowledge is a great thing for oneself and for others. We are all in a journey not only at sea but in life. Thank you for your kind words and bless you. May you always stay on the right path
Bro thanks so much I’m a cadet right now on board And None of my engineers are willing to help me because “I’m coming to take their job” Your videos are very helpful
I would also like to thank you for providing your knowledge using youtube specially that we maritime students of today rely on this videos if we do not understand what is being described in our books. Hoping to work with you onboard. keep safe brother.
It's my pleasure dude and yes I understand that perfectly. I had no idea about many basic things because in my acadamy we did not have good engine room simulators.. I'm happy to be a part of newbies adventures now
Hey bro, i am currently at the middle of my engine cadet contract and i’ve been feeling awfull since non of the officers is willing to help me with learning. Now i found you’re videos and it helped me so much, i can’t say thank you enough! Keep it up, best regards! 👌
Please continue to make a lot of these. You don't know how much knowledge I refreshed in my mind and learned new things. Shocks real talk its easy to understand how you explain because you speak slow . Thank you so much
New born shark, not a shrimp... I truly love your videos and more than that, the way how you do your job. My first Marine Engineer duty starts in days. So, i thank you.
I thought you stoped uploading videos but you are finaly back ! :D I appreciate all your hard work making these videos and share them with us !!! Waiting more videos from you bro , you are amazing and you look a good guy also... i wish i had a person like you on board. I would like you to share your knowledge about Aux.Boiler and of course how to operate it :D Thank you thank you !!!
Of course right now I'm editing some more videos of the sewage plant (because it's the horrid responsability of newbies) however next contract I want to have a few more clips to show boiler operation and burner maitnaince. Thanks for such kind words and keep on rocking my friend!
It amazes me that seafarers (and future seafarers) watch these videos and it helps them.. It makes me very happy! Thanks for the support Alfred success and nothing else in your studies!
I would also like to raise that if there is a leak within the purifier then there could be an abnormality with the water to close system which could result to an untimely opening of the discharge port on the sides of the purifier even during the centrifugation as this ports should only be opened once the separation process is done.
Very good brother, you are showing good understanding of the equipment! When it comes to problems with purifiers there are lots of things to investigate when troubleshooting.
Thank you for the kind comment Rogee, and of course I'll keep making new content and hopefully be a part of the formation of many seafarers. Success and nothing else dude and God bless you.
I learned a lot sir, could you please make a video about reading a diagram of purifier prior to starting, hope you will notice. Thank you sir An Engine cadet from Philippines
Hello my friend i would love to make them and in the future I will be the person in charge durning the watch instead of co-operater which will make it more easy to make videos.
Man, we did whatever we can to avoid those LSFO to mix up with current oil but it still did, produced a bunch of muds, clogged strainer and filters, almost clogged my precious Sludge Tk to Bilge Oil Tk pipe, and finally fucked up my favorite No.1 & No.2 W.O. Tks plus Sludge Tk. Then overhauled the sweet Mitsubishi purifier weeks after we'd changed the gravity disc. I hate my job so much sometimes and I wonder why this can't be avoided 100% or is it the 10% makes me feel that stressful, so I'm starting to doubt if I'm the one for this kind of jobs :p
Hahaha oh my God I have never seen that happen because the vessels I have been on didn't use LSHFO, only MGO in ports and HFO in navigation.. Now with the new rules of MARPOL 6 I really don't see many companies using LSHFO now unless they implement a Chimney exhaust scrubber. Anyway, thanks for sharing the experience sounds like a wild ride.. I understand the feeling that pressure starts to build up when problems arise but coming home after a good contract with nice savings and sharing experiences with family and friends is a wonderful feeling that I could only get with this job.
Yeahhh to tell you the truth I enjoy those types of videos more, explaining how each part works for the bigger picture! However as always the foundation and bases must be made
@@ShrimptoShark yeah the basics are also important but all i m saying if if possible maybe u can make something with each parts... Let the parts tell their stories 😉
Hello, I'm having issues with dropping circulation pressure in L.O hidens purifier after few minutes while running, samgong -mitshibishi SJ35HH make...any suggestion pls
Troubleshooting remotely is difficult however check by seeing if there is no strange leaks from the sightglass - discharge hole, maybe also the water seal has been broken or not there at all due to no displacement water going, there are a lot of tests that need to be done. Sorry for the late reply but maybe someone in the future will read this.
Nice Vid SIR!, Can I ask what's the purpose of the pressure gauge and sensor, monitoring the water discharge line and when to close or open the ball valve of the water discharge line.
the purifier same like when i was cadet, but the common trouble was the pressure inside the purifier because the outlet valve so sensitive i dont know why its so hard to set the pressure outlet
Yes this is true! The outlet valve is very sensitive for internal pressure, but usually if bowl and pilot valve overhauls are done regularly these purifiers are very stable and sometimes in 1 contract only need 1 or 2 cleanings.
Hello my friend temperature in the purifier is very important especially for HFO.. If it is too cold then you could risk heavy sludge deposits and therefore more frequent cleanings. If it is too high then the water starts to evaporate in the fuel making it difficult to separate causing water in fuel alarms.
Hello Ricardo! Yes it's been a while I already finished my first contract as an officer it was a wild ride! I hope to finish my cadet ideas before entering life as an officer

If it is too high then the water starts to evaporate in the fuel making it difficult to separate causing water in fuel alarms.
You didn't explain about the pressure regulating valve on purifier body.!!
Yeah there are many little things that need to be added! But the video is long enough..
