    一看到就聯想到最近新聞,某體型壯碩的外籍男子在大賣場內沒戴口罩被一位熱心女士提醒,不知他是否惱羞成怒或其他原因,竟然對該女士惡言相向還打掉她的手機。
    就算是來台躲避武漢肺炎疫情的外國人,若只想享受臺灣安全自在的日常,卻連最基本戴口罩的防疫措施都不願遵守,這種人真的就請離開臺灣吧!回去你的母國享受不戴口罩的自由,回去面對感染風險和宵禁。不知感恩臺灣提供的自由健康,臺灣也沒有必要忍受你的自私自我。

    Great video!
    I lived in Taiwan right after university, and I had lots of ups and downs. I love the country and the people so much and it was a ton of fun. Lots of good times and some lonely times, too. By the end of my stint, I was ready to go and feeling a bit depressed. It was a problem with myself and not Taiwan, of course. I think it's harder to be a young single woman living alone in Taiwan than to be a single male or a couple. Just my perspective.
    I find myself wanting to come back all the time now that I'm older, more mature, and have a family! I love Taiwan and hope to come back soon! It's my home away from home and I'll always feel that way.

    台灣就是台灣, 台灣是什麼樣子就是什麼樣子, 不可能為了外來者的好惡大改變;
    台灣人自己在台灣, 也沒有人或政府可以保證會給你順利成功的人生, 何況是外國人? 能多跟台灣人或政府要求什麼呢?
    所以每次看到中國配偶在那裡抱怨受到歧視, 不公平對待, 我就翻白眼, 沒人欠你好嗎? 台灣的規定就這樣, 要來是你自己要來的, 不高興可以全家移居中國, 或任何地方!
    對外國人也是, 台灣人願意熱心助人, 但人是互相, 何況台灣只是一個很小很小的國家, 沒有力量可以照顧全世界的人, 台灣有台灣的好, 願意張開雙臂歡迎大家, 卻不宜對台灣寄望過高!

    I started coming to Taiwan as a buyer in the manufacturing sector. I met my wife in Taiwan, so we decided to plant some roots there. I never bothered with becoming a resident as I never foresaw a time where I would not need to travel out of the country within the 90 day tourist visa that I get issued. Taiwan was very generous in extending my visa several times when COVID broke out, but eventually we left and are now in HK (where we both have residency). But I hope to come back as soon as they start letting people back in, as I consider it one of my homes.

    Soon I may be going to Taiwan to work as a mechanical engineer and I find it interesting when you say people like myself should come enjoy ourselves and spend our high wage in Taiwan to help boost the economy. Sounds great but in my research I’ve found that the items I’m most likely to buy have a hefty tax on them, that makes me want to take my money earned and travel to other Asian countries with better prices.
    One item that comes to mind is motorcycles, I’m a huge fan of riding and was so keen to buy a super sport bike while in Taiwan, only to soon find out that they cost double the price! Can anyone tell me why this is? How does that help out the economy at all, would t it just turn away any potential buyers?

      I think all imported bikes and cars have a 100% import tax rate .... to encourage people to buy Taiwanese bikes

Maybe you will form your own new family in Taiwan by marrying a Taiwanese woman in the future. That will drive yourself more at home in Taiwan.

    About whether or not transient travellers (backpackers/short-term visitors of sorts) are good candidates for teaching English in Taiwan, I think it depends. If they have good prior experience in teaching English as 2nd language and have the right mind set, then yes, they could be good candidates. If I was the hiring manager, I would check their qualifications and references even just for a short term teaching contract. After all, proficency in English and the ability to teach English to foreigners effectively are two very different things.

    From the positive side, there is one category missing, short term working visa/exchange work/Big Overseas experience/, Taiwan signed up with working visa with Australia/NZ and I believe Canada as well around 20 years ago, which allows Taiwanese to go work for short term from data entry/receptionist to (more popular) farm work/fruit picker/vineyard grapes picker in Australia/NZ/Canada and vice versa Aussies/Kiwi/Canadian can work in Taiwanese rice paddies/pineapple farms/fruit plantations as well as fisheries for short term. These will belong to your positive category, absolutely should come for a bit of short term experience in country Taiwan and sample fruit/marine products from fisheries , and great culture exchange too.

    I like you a lot, not because you love my country, but because you speak from your heart, and you have that kind of "Taiwanese" quality that makes the local people want to be nice to you. You know there are also those who cannot tolerate Taiwan, and likewise, those who were in Taiwan but were not received very well by the locals. There are reasons for these, but in your case, it's win against win. Congratulations!

    Hey I love the channel! I was wondering, would it be difficult for me to find an English teaching job since I am of Mexican decent? However, I recently noticed a piece of news about student bullying in Taiwan.

    My friends studying in Taiwan told me that bullying in Taiwan is very common and terrifying.
    Is there any way to reduce this problem?🤔
