That’s a mean slash. 3s on my slash 4x4 is nuts as I can’t keep the front tires down. I do run large tires on it similar to what you have on your stampede. I can’t imagine how it is on 4s or 6s. My slash 4x4 is is under the knife now as the last time I had it out I sort of ran it into a bolder and bent the center shaft, and messed up the bumper. Parts are in order. Another great video.
Awesome video, I've never seen anybody break hoons. I run them on Typhon 6s Can't burn those things off. I haven't been able to land a jump with them on because the front end of the car comes down during a jump. So I haven't been able to land on the wheels. But after seeing those things break. Don't know if I want to land on the wheels. Thanks for the great content
Yeah they do wear out pretty quick….usually less than four runs on my Arrma Infraction….they may last a bit longer on a Slash since it’s smaller and lighter
its so much fun on stock vxl lcg, i geared it to an 11t with a 54t spur. she rips. Still does just over 30 mph. but drifts like a madman. Ps lock at least the rear diff
@@RCKnockout oh OK cool man. I really, really hope u do decide to take another swing at that project, you put alot into it and were so close. Maybe when the weather warms back up??? No pressure lol.
@@RCKnockout awesome man I can't wait! If there was one thing I could suggest, it would be to go back to your setup in about episode 24, and practice smooth linear throttle pull. I actually bought one of these perfect pass launch controls and made all the difference, let's u focus more on driving. And 100mph with the stock body is absolutely possible!
Those tires don't typically come across as sticky to me on my Felony, but they look really grippy on that Slash. Also it is surprising to see the wheels fail so easily. It is like they are just grabbing the pavement and getting a lot of slide loads when making quick direction changes with the Slash, putting a lot of stress on the hub and spokes.
There's the all mighty basher build. Oh my jeez that thing is brutal with that set up.
Thanks! It sure does rip!!
Awesome video my friend nice 😊 truck good runs for 4s great job thumbs up 👍 thanks for sharing
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

Glad you liked it! It is insane! Hopefully you get yours fixed up pretty soon 🤞
Well I won't be jumping on my Hoons😂 thanks for doing it for us 👍👍
That’s what I’m here for lol 😂
I have wanted a set of these tires for my rally. Seeing them on the slash makes me think.
Yeah they are a sweet set of wheels and tires!
I have a slash ultimate and I’ve been wanting to do this. Looking forward to seeing how it runs!
Yeah it’s super fun!

Glad you liked it! I definitely wouldn’t recommend the Hoons for jumping lol 😂
Looks like fun!
It definitely is!
I might have missed this but is this an LCG chassis?
@@leopoldodiaz818 yes it is
Do the tires worn out quickly because i am looking to buy them for my slash 2wd vxl has street tires.

@@RCKnockout 4 runs 💀
@@RCKnockout but i mean using them for normal speed and not power sliding or do anything really that worn-out the tire faster
@@petitric526 yeah if you’re not spinning the tires they won’t wear out nearly as fast…but also that doesn’t seem nearly as fun lol
@@petitric526 yeah, unfortunately
Smooth slash comin at U
Oh yeah!
Wish there was a stadium truck series around slash 4x4s on a road track with jumps
That would be sweet!
would be nice to see GPS speed stats on the hoons vs stock
That would be a cool video….it’ll be quite a bit faster with the stock tires since the Hoons are belted and don’t balloon up at all
Is that with no sway bars?
@@jeremyhayes1756 yeah
What size are those tires
2.9 Dboot Hoons

Put regular superglue on the hinge pins as well
I like to go a bit faster than that but I’m sure it’s great for drifting
I don’t know about that….I’d still like to get the hinge pins out easily
@@RCKnockout just test one if you don't believe. its just enough grip to not back off.
@@XxlargemanxX easy to get them back out though?
Is that the 100mph slash? Looks good with that fresh body
No….this is actually the “Ultimate Basher Build”….the body does look sweet though!

@@MikeGray-ct6hb is perfect pass just a throttle limiter that ramps up so you don’t loose traction? You think I should go back to a stock Slash body?

4x4
HHahahhha no😂😂

They were pretty grippy….it was the impacts on the concrete that were breaking the spokes…they’re definitely not made for bashing and hard landings
