I found it!!! ThanKS so much for your time and making this video I'm about to tackle this myself luckily I have all the tools and and now a perspective on how to do it 😊
Oh my! Let me know how it goes as we have one with a lil less than 1/4 oil but it's about 10 years old. Time to remove it as well. I hope yours went well.
@@lynnees9828 it did I'm so sorry I had my truck pop and lock in the worst way and I just csnt figure out wtf the problem is. I've had 3 different mechanics come look. It's a mess. Been a while now I've been just pulling shit apart on the 2008 toyta rav4. But the oil tank went smoothly. The only thing I'm uncertain of is where the pipe came out the tank I just cut and vent thwt bitch back. So now, should I just tear the rest of the pipes out? Should be safe since it's not hooked to anything anymore right?
Going to remove a tank i got a hole in think its around 200 gallons its pretty empty being when it burst i had the oil company pump it out. Pretty mechanically inclined but im not super familiar with fuel oil. Tanks in my open basement plenty of ventilation i just dont want to blow the hell up trying to get it out.
How about syphon the oil with a pump ( tractor supply probably sells them) by passing the holes through a basement window or if you can cut the pipe where the oil gets delivered from and slide your holes through while you dump it into a 50 gallon barrel. Then use less oil sand plus less shoveling and save your back. I empty a tank like that once. .....LIKED THE VIDEO
Depending how mechanically that person is but i would allways recommend to hire a proffesional or anyone with experience in this type of work only because your dealing and especially because its oil.
Hi your video is very interesting, we have a oil tank 275 gallons in our basement how much be the price, the tank is totally empty , please get back to me thank youu.
Hey man I wanna help you with this problem I use to do the same thing use sawdust it’s better go to any spot that deal with wood I’m telling you try this and you will never use cat litter again the cat litter is no good to Heavy and you gotta use a lot and it cost too much sawdust you could get for free
Thanks 🙏, I appreciate it .. I’m open to listening if it’s going to make my job easier. We use the speedy dry but if saw dust works better it’s worth a try in my book. I never used saw dust but I’m going to try it out … thanks again #weppa
No problem it’s going to work trust me just write me back on here to let me kno how it goes I was going to call you guys to make sure y’all try it lol we gotta stick together I’m glad to help I was trained by a boiler man the been doing this for 40 years thanks for replying
And sawdust is lighter then speedy dry if you could the fine sawdust is better it’s like power trust me if you could do a video you trying it for the first time and give me a shout out when you see it works lol I’ll be happy it would make my day
What does that cost? Oh, I see a year ago it was about $1500. Our tank looks smaller. If it's been sitting ten years is it useable at all? Doubt it, huh? A guy was going to come pump it but he never did, at first. I was giving it away in 2015 when our oil burner had a blowback. No one wants to install oil burners anymore so our only option was propane. Moister heat but was never as warm.
This is absolutely how you DO NOT REMOVE AN OIL TANK. Why on earth would you create all that unusable sludge? You remove the sludge by bucket. If you want to know how to remove an oil tank competently go to my channel. Jacobs Property Solutions Oil Tank Removal.

Hey who do you go to to get rid of the speedy dry waste?
I pay my local carting company to haul it away. We have a dumpster and they come and pick it up
