instagram reset my password and i cannot change it because of “ errors ” this has been going on for almost 2 months now and ive been trying to get it back day after day, none of the instagram methods work.

this didnt work bc im trying to get on insta on my chrome laptop and i followed the steps but it sent the link to my phone not laptop
One day I was on Instagram and I was trying to put my password in I was trying to click on it but then I accidentally clicked on make a strong password😮 I accidentally clicked that!.. so my Instagram account still exists but the password I forgot 😔. The reason why the password is forgotten is because it was when I made a strong password I thought I saved it in the computer but it erased it from any existence the password was so long. I thought it would be the strongest password for nobody to copy because it was made from strong password. It was supposed to provide me to always keep it but for some reason. I clicked the wrong button and I no longer can get into the account cuz I forgot the password. All I can do is stare at the account for my new Instagram with all my followers I don't have. The reason why I don't want to follow the followers again is because I don't what's a new Instagram I want my old one back with all my old messages for my DMS were very important
A lot of people used to steal my work on this account and I had all the proof in every conversation that I had so that's why I need it back
Worked on Android (Pixel 6a). Only caveat: it didn't show the password for very long (it auto-logged in after a second or two). Wasn't long enough to copy, so I did it again while recording it on another phone. Thanks for the tip.

This did not help. I am not logged in on my new device.
The "Forgot password" link only resulted in sending me another link to log in. At no point did I get an option to reset the password.

It didn't work for me cuz it didn't save😢. The thing is me and you we accidentally both erased it when it put strong password so we can't see it? There's got to be a way we can get it back. The reason why this is so important is because people have been stealing my artwork on this account and I had all the proof in every conversation that I had in the DMs. I can't make my youtube video until I get this back and it's holding me back.
