- The SR-25 was just added to the game a few weeks ago. It's a semi-automatic .308 rifle that is similar to the RSASS but a bit cheaper to purchase. Although it is technically a worse RSASS, this weapon still dominates because of the ammo it uses. This video showcases a number of EPIC moments using the weapon that might convince you to try it some time. This weapon isn't really budget friendly, but with a few mods its totally viable in the late META game.

Could you maybe try including a weapon mod screen in the vids so we can see the build? I’m still new and alittle bit overwhelmed by the weapon modding but I feel like if you showed your builds it would help newer players see which mounts and grips etc... are good to use. Just a thought, love the vids! Nerf hatchlings.
Sam DONT worry about weapon modding, it can have massive effects on your weapons but only if you know the min-maxing ergonomics and recoil, the truth is the most value out of guns you’ll get is just putting whatever you want on the gun and making it “feel good”

Also @sam try using the AKs first before worrying about modding advanced weapons. AK's are very well rounded depending on your variant, ammo, and mods. Play around and see what suits your playstyle and map.
Tyler Hendrix this was sorta the idea I was hoping for. I wasn’t just going to continuously copy his exact kit, but to learn, for example I just found, Tapco stocks on sks let’s you mount scopes (I think I can’t be fucked to check) but what I’m saying is, just to learn which attachments go to which guns I guess
I find fuel in shacks behind houses in the village on shoreline. Once I found 3 in one shack, 2 large metal and 1 small blue platic.
Expeditionary fuel tank are used for crafting mag cases, that's why you can sell empty ones and buy full for basically the same price.

I have no idea why this weapon has worse stats than the SA-58 or the M1A. It's hilarious that it has worse base recoil than the M1A, a variant of the weapon that they replaced in the US military specifically because its recoil was uncontrollably bad. I could see this weapon being worse than the RSASS, but the SA-58? It's got an inline stock and AR-15 ergonomics.
I'm with you on this one. The SA58 has a lighter recoil irl than like a G3 IMO but an SR25? I've never shot an SR25 but it seems to just be an AR10. That seems a bit of a stretch, especially the stock kind with that grenade launcher comp they have on the SA58 in-game as standard.
@@raskolnikovsghost2701 For sure. It's been said that FALs recoil lighter than G3s, but they're piston guns. The SR25 is direct gas impingement, it's gonna recoil less because it's got less mass rocking back and forth in the gun.

@@Opachki69420 But it's still just an upgraded version of a DI AR10 with a free-float match grade barrel and M16A2 advancements upscaled to 7.62x51 by KA and Stoner.

I Always play reserve with a tac tec these days. It's level 5 and I can always use the cliff extract. Fell in love with the SR-25 day one.
You should try the vuudu scope with an aimpoint micro on top. Great scope for this weapon.

@@squidwardo7074 75kg is a bit too much. I think if they reduced the weight on some of the items it would help. Plus marines constantly have 80-100+ lbs on their backs at a time. That's no where near 75kg though lol
The SR-25 and MDR-308 are my new fav / go to guns atm.
Just an FYI the shoreline boat extraction is easy to tell if its up, if the boat i there its open , if the boat isn't there , the one right next to the extraction area then its gone.
Its been there for me and bugged many a time

i have around 1000 hours in Tarkov and i've used the RSASS once, it does nothing, that a M1A couldn't do, and the M1A have 50-round magazines. The choice is clear for me, i need those extra bullets :-D
RSASS and SR-25 sounds and looks better than the M1A though.
@@roflex2 well, if that is enough reason for you, to use them, at least someone will use them 😂 Maybe if the gave the SR-25 more ergonomics or something, then people would have a real reason to use it.

I see you everywhere! but that's what the weapon is supposed to be a worse version of the rsass. but like better than the m1a. I personally love it as the rsass is a bit expensive still.
@onedaydude I feel like the M1A outperforms it, and for a cheaper price tag as well
ScavsAteMyLegs plus the M1A has a much beefier and cooler sound to it XD
@@ScavsAteMyLegs It does, an M1A unmodded outperforms an SR-25 unmodded for almost half the price with way more mods and better magazines available as well. Tried bringing attention to it on the forums/subreddit but the weapons still new so defense force is out in full.

I picked mine up off someone a day or two after it was released, absolutely love it! Rivals tx-15 but has better rounds and a little bit better distance. Still got the bad boy! Lucky charm 🍀

You should’ve taken the pilgrim and would have been able to take the tv rig as well. Just take the silencer off the AK and keep that too. You also didn’t hide the killa armour... like damn
You can see if it's open the bouy on the right flashes, when it's open.
@deadlyslob I cant remember if you say in the video or not but do you use m80 or m61? I find m80 works plenty fine even against harder targets. But another opinion helps!

i thought with the boat extract its like the cars on other maps, if its there, you good, if its not you cant use it. its a 1 use extracts like the cars so i assumed it would be the same as the cars just free
I think the accuracy of the SR-25 should be slightly better. A little lower price too.
A little extra ergo would be nice too. But even the way it is now, I see the flea market price for them is much higher than the MDR.

I find more than enough fuel in the 2 bunkers on woods. Also a ton of motors.

whats so good about an RSASS anyway? isnt a modded m1a with the correct chasis was better for the same or cheaper?
Because RSASS is just sexier than M1A
you could argue that the sa-58 is just as good as well, it's all personal preference
RSASS is lighter than the M1A
You can scope longer with the RSASS since its a lot lighter and the SASS body on the M1A is the ugliest thing in tarkov.

The first time I used the sr-25 I got 24 kills on an interchange raid, and I’d never gotten more that 4 before

It doesnt perform similar the the RSASS, it's closer to the M1A but a bit worse they missed the mark on making it a cheaper RSASS by a bit, could use a buff or price reduction.

Yes, as long as they're also firing the same ammunition. For example, 7.62x51 M80 will do the same damage and have the same AP value regardless of what gun it's fired from, while M61 will always act like M61.

Its more for medium to long range but a 4-6x is better for the type of environment shown in the video.
On the first extract, why did he need to drop that mag from the rig? He had room for everything and went straight to extract from that position. Just curious if maybe I missed something as I'm learning the tactics of the game currently. Asking for a friend lol
I believe it was empty so he dropped incase he needed it for space

Also, if you don't have a spare slot when normal reloading, you will automatically drop the mag

Default is pg up/Pg down but those are inconvenient, I found z is good for both (once for up, double tap for down) but z is bound to something else I found in important so I would check.
