Dave this is an amazing idea for a video series. I think so many people are afraid of transcription because they don't realize how simple it is when you break it down like this. I think the series will help so many reach the benefits of transcription. Keep it up!
That's so great to hear and I completely agree! It's not just something advanced players can do - ANYONE that plays can transcribe...it's about going about it in a methodical and step-wise manner.

I dressed myself with the challenge of transcribing the Level 1, and it really got my brain boiling! 😅 But I learned a ton, and I realize this is just the method I needed, instead of trying to grap both pitches and rhythms at the same time. Another take away for me is, I don't have to transcribe the little embellishments at first (like in bar 18 and 24), just get the basic quarter and eight notes (and triads if any) down first to get a solid structure to work on.
