The thing I hate the most about Cheng Yin is that he played with the feelings of two girls and destroyed both of their lives. Both these girls would’ve lead a happy life without him interfering for the sake of power. I know SeSe did some harms but imagine the man you loved since childhood tells you he loves you, you marry him despite all odds and provide your family support for him in war, deal the tortures of his mother and other imperial women (with exception of jetting some of them in return) and in the end he tells you that he was using you all along. That must gotta hurt a lot. Don’t even get me started on the torturous journey he made Xiao Feng go through in the name of love. His obsession killed everyone around her and in the end herself. I understand his circumstances but I detest his choices and manipulations.
Sese is pitiful but her past behaviour really shows her ignorance and lack of compassion for others. Just because she blindly loves a man doesnt give her right to harm others.

It’s not love, when you do things and say that infamous line “I did everything for you!!” It’s not love anymore, it’s an obsession, of what you want, that’s not what love is.
Tbh SeSe and Cheng Yin were so alike, if Xiao Feng didn’t came in picture Cheng Yin would’ve married SeSe regardless. Not to mention unlike other shows SeSe was vile evil for the sake of being evil. She was continuously targeted of bullying as Cheng Yin’s favourite concubine so she needed to tough herself up. She had admiration for Xiao Feng before the marriage until because of the tortures of the grand Queen, she came to think that Xiao Feng would also treat her the same way cause she’s a princess of another kingdom and official wife of Cheng Yin. Cheng Yin also continuously played like ‘hero’ in simplest conversations she had with Xiao Feng that she came to create an negative image of Xiao Feng in her mind and herself as the victim. Not to mention unlike other dramas where side chicks like her are simply delusional to think that the guy would like them, Cheng Yin played her in the same way he played Xiao Feng that he loves her. Both of them used ‘survival’ as excuse to toughen up and do wrong deeds. I mostly blame Cheng Yin for all the wrong choices SeSe made because she was doing it for the man she loved not knowing that she was being used the whole time as scapegoat for his actual love. SeSe kinda is a victim of Cheng Yin in the same way Xiao Feng is except that she actually tried to play the game unlike Xiao Feng who didn’t and in the end lost her loved ones for it. Let’s not forget SeSe in front of Capital so she knows that she has to play dirty or she’ll be killed while Xiao Feng comes from a more barbaric lifestyle so she doesn’t know manipulations. SeSe is like Sansa Stark of this show while Xiao Feng is like Danaerys Targaryen of this show.
She didn't love him the most, she was obsessed with him the most. There is no one-sided relationships. Can't even love herself but speaks of being in love with someone else.
I think she's in love with him but you can't blame her for that. She was his childhood friend and they grew up together since childhood. It 's mentioned in ep 10 until 15 that they're childhood friedns and her brother often visit him so don't blame the girl. Just blame the guy for forsaking their childhood friendship. I mean even if she had done terrible to the one he's in love but both of them had grown up since childhood. I was surprised that he's just using her.
Exactly, it’s obsession, not love, maybe it was at the start but when you do evil things for the other person and tell them “I did it all for you” that’s not love anymore.

Besides his oldest brother who was assassinated by the second brother, LCY actually was the most qualified and best emperor. He never had the desire for power. But, he was stuck in a place where he will eventually be killed easily by his hidden enemies trying to steal the kingdom from his father within the palace. So he must and had to do something to eliminate them first. For the sake of the people of Dynasty Li, even the good guy, general Pei Chau supported all his plans of taking down all the evil ones within the administrations. And his plans needed the supports from Sese's father. LCY actually told the general that he had a desire to take good care of Sese although he didn't love her, but her behaviors were very repulsive to him. Because she had done many bad things to harm XF whom the prince loved dearly. He also had to pretend he didn't care for and hate XF, because XF was LCY's weakness which will become the target for the enemy to defeat him.

But the plot here, I never will understand which claming and protecting someone you love her then hooking up with someone else, loving the princess on a pretense of loving the other girl is such pathetic, disrespecting even on a pretense is hurtful nonetheless, having sexual relations with sese while he truly loves the princess is what??? He even slapped the princess one time again on a pretense, like what???there are other ways he can protect the princess without being gross.

Its not easy its chaos. Even in the present time its not easy for the royalties, there a price to pay, sacrifice and deprived happiness
Thank you finally someone understanding that it was all politics to him. He was playing both girls for power and given his circumstances it was inevitable for survival but doesn’t mean he didn’t hurt both of them with his actions.

I never really did like this drama because the prince lied to her, tricked her, and then killed her family, then took her to be his princess consort. Please, give me a break how in the world could he expect for her to love him. I don’t care if he forgot and then she forgot. It doesn’t matter how can you marry another woman on the side the same time you marry another that you said you loved dearly and only remember everything when she jumps to her doom that’s why force marriages and contract marriages don’t work. They always end of having outside children, or outside affairs or taking revenge on the family because of it, or living a miserable life not knowing what real love is all about. But, the illegitimate child comes back and owes everything and takes revenge on the family for casting his or her mother, father out of the family. Traditional isn’t always a good thing especially when it comes to marrying someone you don’t love and especially forcing them doesn’t make it any better. El realmente las utilizo ha ambas , como un juego de ajedrez necesitaba de zeze la ayuda de su padre que era general y tenerlo de su lado por eso la enamoró a ella , pero de hay cambio las cosas cuando se enteró quien era su verdadera familia
