  • Grant Stone unveiled their new Garrison Boot at the Stitchdown Boot Camp in New York in November 2023. A few weeks late the boot went on sale for the first time with the GS black Friday sales packages. The Garrison trademarks are classic military service boot profiles and bang up to date "out there" leathers.

Love the Olive Minerva. I definitely want that boot in my collection. Thank you for sharing!

I have this boot in crimson kudu, bought it on day one of the drop. I own 4 other Grant Stone boots, and the craftsmanship and QC on all of them are top notch. The Olive Minerva leather looks so stunning in videos like this, the website does not do it justice.

MINE look greener, a little flat kermit green. Also my lining is White. Viberg look out. Want the #8 when restocked.

I have this same boot. But the lining is white. I like the color of yours better. I didn't know there were different colors. I'm not crazy about the laces either. I love the look of the boots. Leather is really starting to soften up. I've had mine for about 6 weeks now. Still breaking in, I wear them about 4 days a week, everywhere. Really well made, no complaints

Thanks Chester. I didn't know about the lining. I've swapped the laces for thin round ones in olive - much better. How are you getting on with getting the boots on and off?

@@hantswalker I always have to take the laces out of the first eyelet and then loosen the laces all the way down. The tongue seems to stay in its spot most of the time. They seem comfortable to me but this is my first pair of high quality boots. I have a pair of Solovair 8 eye Derby boots, but they feel like tennis shoes compared to these very well made Grant Stones.

Thank you. The round laces are working better for me. The flat ones would not loosen.

I also bought a pair of those, in burgundy kudu, missed the fit by a bit too wide (10.5E) but other than that they feel great, agree with you about the laces, just adding that the sole is stiffer than the original vibram or they dainite version, depending on the use that may take a bit of comfort away. Keep us updated on how it ages. cheers!!

Helpful comments Rod. I'll pay attention to the sole. I Find GS sizing to be tricky and I know others do. Different lasts and styles. Absence of EE width. Thank you.

Aesthetically I agree but they are a pain to get on and off. I've been wearing them today and other than lacing I love them.
