To Clarify: Bert and Ernie were corrupted. Big Bird and Elmo were in an alleyway and bb was trying to cheer Elmo up after Bert and Ernie s corruption. The darkness was behind big Bird so Elmo warned him but it was too late. In short:the darkness killed big Bird,and re-corrupted Elmo.
